I brought my two kittens here for fleas, they gave me Revolution, which didn't work. I was sure to treat my home as well as the cats, but nothing was working. I went back the next month for more and it again did not work, this time I called to complain and they said to bring them in so they could apply it themselves. It still did not work, no change whatsoever. I ended up buying Advantage and I noticed some of the fleas dying off, but not entirely. I found out why about a week later when I brought my cats in for another visit to find out they had weighed them wrong and they were over 5lbs. At this point I said I had found spots of blood on the floor where my one cat had just been, I explained the situation and the age of my cats over the phone beforehand and was told I could sign up for the Wellness Plan which included urine testing and was only 25.99 a month. When I went in I was told that my cats were too young for this specific plan and they refused to let me sign up, so I was signed up for the kitten plan, not told it would cost more, and paid out the nose for the urine testing as well, only to be told to just give my cats wet food and bring the one who had been tested back in a week. I also found out they could have been signed up for the other plan in a month when they were 6 months old. When I brought him back, the vet noticed when he took my cat out that he was shutting one of his eyes/it looked hurt, he felt his belly real quick and said they needed to do another urine test, which was obviously not included in the wellness plan, didn't check his eye at all. I declined further testing and left, frustrated. By this point the fleas were so bad I realized the spots of blood were from their feces and it was literally all over my bathroom. I bombed and cleaned my entire home and treated them with Advantage for cats over 5lbs. I continued to try to resolve the problem myself, but with no help from the incompetent staff at the Flower Mound Banfield who barely examine your pet and don't know WHAT products and services they offer! As for my cats eye, I applied a warm compress and that thankfully worked. I am appalled. I would also like to add that during the course of this INFESTATION of fleas, I was told by every vet at this location that they didn't "see" any fleas. Uhhhh? One of my cats is ALL BLACK! He is so dark I sometimes don't even see him right next to me. They never once took a comb to them to check! Because of the fleas they also developed tapeworms and were given Praziquantel ONCE. THEN EXPLICITYLY STATED THEY DID NOT NEED IT AGAIN. They were checked for worms on their last visit a week ago SUPPOSEDLY and I was told they did not have them, but a week later they were basically SHOOTING out of them uncontrollably, so so much for that! I took them to Denton Texas Banfield for fear of going back to Flower Mound and because I figured I was still on this plan so I might as well take advantage of the "free office visits and deworming". For one, I was informed by Denton that tapeworms weren't included in the free deworming, of course, and furthermore that they should have been administered a second dose of Praziquantel by Flower Mound a month after the first. Thankfully they were a bit more professional at this location. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint asking for the wellness plan to be canceled and for a refund. I then spoke with Christina at Banfield Flower Mound who agreed to cancel the wellness plan but refused to refund ANY of what I was charged stating that they treated the problems appropriately which is absurdly incorrect. She did not address any of the points I brought up in my complaint, denied that the cats needed two shots of dewormer and that Denton was wrong in saying they did, but then contradicted herself and said they did need further deworming, did not admit that they were wrong in how they treated my pets in any way, that they were treated incorrectly, unnecessarily, and that their treatment of them exasperated their health problems. Banfield Flower Mound should NOT be treating animals, period. You know a company sucks when they actually have someone who's job is to go around doing damage control on online review sites. Look at all of their US listings on here and you will see similar replies. But no one at corporate took my calls or solved my complaints despite the speedy response to my Yelp review to try and save face.. Read Less
