After our beloved dog Polo passed away-we were looking for a new vet for our new puppy. We found Dr. Willis and his wonderful staff close to our home. He and his staff are wonderful,compassionate and knowledgeable professionals! They take their time to explain everything and make you feel comfortable. Even though our new puppy can be a handful-they never act like he's too much to handle or we are incomveniencing them-in fact our puppy hurt his knee and Dr. Willis was so concerned about him-they made room for him to be seen right away. Unfortunately after several visits,we have decided to take our dog elsewhere, the staff was very polite,the clinic very clean,accessible and modern, yet it is our belief and experience that our dog's situation was treated primarily as a business. cycle upon cycle of the same tests and the same medicine,for almost 2 months, delaying a surgery,causing infection and no resolution. Our dog is now cleaned up from infection,with a schedule surgery, looking amazingly well after just one visit to Old Orchard Animal Clinic. Hope for them the very best and hopefully is not anyone else's experience anymore. Read Less

I loved Dr. Willis! He obviously loves his job and treated my Gus like family. He took so much time to explain everything to me and give me the next steps for treatment. The staff was wonderful and the time I spent waiting was minimal. Also have to mention Niki...she's the best!Read Less

I have never met a more carrying physician in my life, in human or veterinary medicine. He has cared for our animals for over 14 years, since we first moved to the area, and treats them like family. His broad knowledge of his profession has allowed our pets to live well beyond their life expectancy. I recommend him to everyone. Read Less

This vets charged me 6times the retail value on meds .when confronted he violently screamed and yelled at me I told him I have proof and he admitted that yes he did charge me six times the retail price and that if I didn't like it I should just leave his office and he ran out of the room slamming the door his assistant came back in the room and apologize for his behavior and said that should never of happened I told her I was glad it happened because now I'm positive the man's con-artist . 600 bucks later my dog still has the same ear infection and untreated allergies . I brought in my sick lab and was turned away because we didn't have $1200 up front to start his care. He probably had a  blockage is in the esophagus because he had had surgery for that before and presented the same symptoms this time. We were at Critter Cares office and they had an opportunity to save a very loved member of our family and they turned us away. We would of gladly paid it out in 3 payments within the next month if we could have but they wouldn't do a payment plan. So we carried our dog out of the office only for him to die in our arms later that day after he suffered greatly. There were no options given to us just that they don't do payment plans and we don't qualify for the pet cares finance program. I am sorry we went through a foreclosure a few years ago and can't qualify for financing, I'm sorry we don't have $1200 cash to start treatment but we would have paid as much as we could afford up front and then weekly until it was paid off. I thought Vets were here to help family pets not ONLY to make money. What a sad world. Read Less

I don't normally take time to write a review, but I care a great deal for my dog and have been disappointed by several Veterinarians in the area. So after finding a place that truly cares for animals and their owners I wanted to share my experience in the hope that it will help others in the area find great care for their animals. During the initial phone call to set up the appointment we went over some of the basics and then I was told that they would reach out to my previous Vet to get all of the pertinent medical information, which for a disorganized person as myself this was a great help. When Dante (my chocolate lab) and I got to the facility we were promptly and kindly greeted. Dante enjoyed the genuine attention and new found friends. The whole experience was great, the Veterinarian took time to explain some of the things Dante was going through and the best methods to assure that I have a healthy boy for many more years. Since the visit I have called three times to ask different questions and to get clarification and every time I have been pleased with the help and truly thankful they were willing to spend the time to discuss with me. Lastly, the pricing was very reasonable and at every step of the way it was discussed with me in detail to make sure I was comfortable with any proposed treatment and at no point were treatment ideas offered that seemed ridiculous or not needed. I can honestly say, that Dr. Willis is the best veterinarian I have ever met. I would not take my little ones anywhere else. They are regulars! The staff is caring and friendly, and always willing to answer any questions you may have. I am so lucky to have these people in my life that I can trust with my little ones. Aldo, my German shepherd, gets spoiled with treats and love every time he walks through the door. This place makes me so happy. The lobby is so welcoming and friendly with photos of  beloved dogs and cats, Dr. Willis' family, and just smiles! One of the best things I love about the animal hospital is the communication with it's clients. After each visit, The staff will print you out a health map and notes and put it in a folder with your pets name on it. It has ALL the information you need and everything that went on in the visit. He doesn't leave you in the dark, and always lets you know what is going on with your pet. If you are looking for a great vet that will treat you like family, this is the place to go. Read Less
