Dr. Hartley-Lock is hands down the best Vet that I have ever taken my dog Rosie to. You can tell that she deeply cares for animals and realizes how much animals mean to their owners. She's very thorough and thoughtful, and gives you all options if your pet has an issue. I am sad that I am moving across the country, because I would have loved for my dog to continue her care here. I went to Cross Timbers when I couldn't get in to my vet of 16 years. They had people waiting but took us in and had my dog seen. A serious eye problem weve been treating for 3 mo. , and Dr Lock has followed up with us along the way. We felt very welcome, the dr. And staff were excellent. This place has great doctors that really care about your animals. The doctors and staff are always friendly and very helpful. My dog has been having some serious medical problems lately and Dr. Lock always calls me to check up on my dog and make sure he is ok, and to make sure we still have enough medication for him, she shows great concern for our animals and he are so fortunate to have found this place. Dr. Lock and Dr. Harvey are two of the most compassionate vets you will meet. We feel like they love our animals as much as we do. Dr. Lock and the staff at Cross Timbers Animal Medical Center continue to set the bar sufficiently high as to dwarf other practices I have used. Their dedication and honesty are exemplary and I remain forever thankful that I found them! =========================================================== Dr. Lock had turned out to be the vet whose services and EXPERTISE I have sought for YEARS. After taking my 2 dachshunds to assorted vets and "experts" for far too long, I FINALLY found my way to Dr. Lock, who diagnosed their problem. They BOTH have Cushing's Disease, and one of them has Cushing's Myopathy. Dr. Lock has answered ALL my questions (and I DO ask a lot of questions) and sent pertinent information and links to me. I am not happy with the diagnosis, but it is accurate! She also has referred me to other professionals who provide services she does not. I absolutely trust her judgment and advice, and I do NOT trust easily. She has earned my trust repeatedly and has proved to be the most honest vet I've encountered. Cross Timbers Animal Medical Center has been our family vet for the past 10 years and I couldn't be happier. It started when I was trying to find a vet that had the one year rabies vaccine for cats. One of my cats had a very bad reaction to the 3yr rabies vaccination at another vet and I was told to use the one year vaccine in future. Cross Timbers staff connected me to Dr. Hartley-Locke and she assured me that it would be no problem and she was right. I have taken my 3 cats to Dr. Locke and she has helped us through everything from allergies to thyroid problems to cancer. She is extremely knowledgeable, works well with the cats, is considerate of your time and budget when making recommendations for care and most of all she cares. There is always a follow-up call to make sure the pet is doing well and to answer any questions. I highly recommend Cross Timbers if you are looking for trustworthy, caring vet. Dr. Harvey and Dr. Locke are amazing with animals and their entire staff cares deeply about their patients. Yesterday afternoon our kitten got a fish hook caught in her paw. We were headed to the emergency clinic, but they weren't going to be open until 6:30. So we frantically headed to Cross Timbers, the closest vet. They were busy but took us in without hesitation, were able to subdue her and remove the hook. Dr. Harvey and his staff treated us like we had been their clients for years even though this was our first visit to their office. Dr. Harvey explained exactly what he was going to do to get the hook removed, and afterwards, explained thoroughly what to expect in the following days. He definitely calmed our nerves! The bill was even much lower than we expected for an unscheduled visit. Thirty minutes after we arrived back home, kitten now without the hook, she was jumping around and playing like nothing ever happened!
