LONG REVIEW!!! We have been our pets to this vet since we moved to Texas! The techs are always so nice an d helpful, and the doctor is really fantastic!!! He even opens up his personal telephone to help for after hours and emergencies, no one that I know of has a veterinarian like this!!!! We have two dogs, and two cats that they see. This vet truly cares for your animals as if they were their own. Their prices are great, and are sooooo honest!!!!! We will not ever go anywhere else! You can really see how much they care for your fuzzy family members like their own!!! They are always there to answer some questions over the phone, and even squeeze you in when they are almost ready for quitting time. We recently got our second puppy in and we had no idea whether or not he had been vaccinated, chipped, or neutered. All we knew is that the previous owner could not care for him any longer because she did not have time for him, and because he was having accidents in the house (well duh until you train them…. Beside the point). We called first and they told us to come when they closed because we do not know whether he has had his shots yet. They asked us to call when we were in the parking lot, so they could make a clear and sanitized path for him. How wonderful is that. They were making sure our new edition to our family would not catch anything by making a path for him. HOW AMAZING!!!!!!! The appointment went so well, though they told us all the things that we thought were done because we were told they were (neutered, and chipped), and they were not. They told us not to worry that they would take care of the chipping that day for us, and when he was 6 months they could neuter him no problem. I asked if they could neuter him now to get it out of the way. The vet came back in and let us know that though he could do it now, he prefers to wait until 6 months old because the weight difference would make a sure fact the surgery would go great, and that there would be no complications with the puppy being under anesthesia . I thought how hoesnt of him to let us know. I seriously appreciate his honesty so much. There has been many other way more serious things then this and he has always given us his true and honest medical opinions. Gave us all of the options available to make a perfect decisions for our babies. I trust him so much!!! From something as simple as he recommends us upgrading our pets food, to flea and tick prevention, to something a little more serious like dental and other surgeries! This is an amazing clinic, everyone is kind and conciderate. My puppy was very nervous and the vet sat on the floor and talked to me..he kept a low even tone to make the pup feel safe. The office is clean and fresh. They are my vet home now! Read Less

I love ABC Animal Clinic. I've been taking my pets here for at least 15 years now and started back when Dr.Snodgrass was on Pennsylvania Ave. He is the best in FW. He is ALWAYS very informative and explains everything thoughly. He and his staff (esp Debbie who worked here for many years)have been wonderful to me, my pets, my friends and family's pets too. The vet here refused to manage our dogs arthritis and give us a few more months of life with our dog without running very expensive tests that we could not afford. Our dog was on meds from this vet for the last year of her life, and we knew her time was getting short, and we didn't have money for the tests, only more of the meds. We pled with him saying that we knew the meds were all that was keeping her going, but he argued with us saying that that we might sue him if our dog died of the meds. We told him that we would not, and only wanted more time with our family pet. I was shocked at his coldness. When our dog ran out of meds a few days later, she could no-longer walk or go to the bathroom. We had to put her down at the animal shelter that morning. This clinic has terrible memories for us, and I think the vet here treated us terribly in a situation where he could have made the right call, it seems that he got greedy. Read Less

I found this place by mere accident, however, very pleased with the type of care my fur baby receives.  Dr. Snodgrass is extremely informative regarding the needs of my pet and always provides me with in depth pro's and con's regarding my breed of choice.  I am pleased of all the care my dogs have received and the endless conversations i have had with the helpful staff in between visits. Dr. Snodgrass said he was experienced with toy breeds and I am now thinking that I was misled or else his staff are not on his level. I have spent almost $500 in blood work on my 4 lb. chi and this last visit informed the office I was leaving town but able to receive messages. The message I received from Luke on 12/30 was that they had the blood work results back and to call at my convenience. I assumed there was no urgency and if anything was REALLY important they would call back. On 1/17 I phoned ABC just to get in an argument w Carly who said "It is very important you increase the dosage to better control his seizures." Yet, knowing I was out of town (the chart literally stated that I was in on a Saturday because I needed a refill on my dog's meds. They made me come in for an office visit and blood work before they would fill the script, KNOWING I had to leave town that day for a while) and Carly and the other staff failed to leave that on my voicemail. Carly tried turning the blame on me saying "most people return our phone calls when we call and tell them to call us back." I am not sure what any of her information was for. Guess what, at the end of the call, they want me to go back for another $219 blood test. I am seeing a clear pattern here about the upcharges I have experienced compared to previous vets. Read Less

Reasonable prices and Awesome Care. The staff and Doctor are really helpful knowledgeable and friendly. They lay out the options for care and what it will cost before treatment. Vet care is expensive and they offer fair reasonable care cost and are a full service clinic. I am probably going to use them for my vet needs. Read Less

I had a great experience here. Affordable teeth cleaning for my pooch. Lowest estimate in the DFW area. Also my dog likes the employees here, which is super rare! Dr. Snodgrass didn't get to personally see me when i dropped off my dog for teeth cleaning, which was understandable (it was just a drop off), but the next time we went in for another issue, he remembered and apologized for not greeting us or meeting us at the "drop off" He is such a nice Doc! Staff is very professional and pleasant. My dog voluntarily gets out of the car when we go there, which is NOT a common occurrence (I usually resort to bribery and meditation at other locations)! Very horrible...took my dog there as am emergency and Debbie immediately said I would have to put her down. I still gave them a chance to help me and when the doctor finally got there he said my dog still had a chance. Even after we explained to Debbie that my dog was redponsive up until that moment she still took her time in getting us help. She was in the front desk talking with someone else about their pet instead of getting my pet started on her iv. Paid $495 for my dog to die 1 hr after I left that facility. I loved this clinic until I was charged 20 extra for something ridiculous! We where told to "bring our dog by post 3 days off antibiotics" And that's what we did. So my husband was told we needed an appointment, no one told us that. But that was fine, 25 for the appointment. And 45 for the UA. So when my husband checked out... Mind you AFTER the UA was collected they told his it was an extra 20 for being a walk in. So I called and talked to the office manager who not only was rude, but talked to me like I was stupid. I have never, ever been treated so awful at a vet..... I'm a Nurse, and the office manager tried to argue with me about how doctors office is ran. This was the most ridiculous rudest treatment. I took my two dachshunds (male and female) to get fixed and everything went well. Staff was very friendly. I brought both dogs back about 3 days after surgery fearing my make popped his stitches (he didn't though) and they also checked on my female as well. All is well and it's been over a month since the surgeries and my pups are doing great! Thank you ABC Read Less

Do NOT have your pet spay or neutered there. They cut the Filopian tubes instead of doing the proper procedure. Your pet will end up with infections, will go into heat, and you'll have to find another vet to fix what they did. BEWARE Read Less

Even though the tech who i was assigned to take care of my dog SAMMY ( a 7year dachshund) publicly and promptly corrected me to not call him a vet which was stranfe because he was quite knowledgeable in everything i asked plus some rhings i forgot to ask. Sammy had a few bad days in the beginning but i uped his steroid ons hes doing fine now but stll no jumping/playing or ruffhouseing. i would highly recommend ABC Animal Clinic called 1/15/16 got a QUICK quote of $95 over the phone got my blue heeler spayed 1/18/16 with no problems. Fastest process EVER! Once i got there at 7:30 i had to fill out only 2 papers and pick up my dog at 3:30. I am super happy with the entire process!Read Less

Our first experience was with my daughters dog who suffered a slipped disk, she was unable to use her back legs. With their excellent care she is back up and running, without surgery! I've taken my dog here for a neuter and dental cleaning - both times he had to be put under anesthesia. And he came out of it fine both times. Before the process, they have paper work explaining and giving options for meds. So, yes, it could be pricy but you have the option to decline. I was afraid with the neuter because my dog was a bit too old for other places to do it. He made it through great. The prices aren't too bad either. Being 17 pounds, the neuter was around $250 with meds and the dental cleaning was $160 with meds. I called another local place for a pricing on dental cleaning and they wanted to charge me $320. I had to put my cat down today. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I couldn't stop crying. ABC has been a great support that I have needed. Josie (my cat) wouldn't let go so we did. She was so extremely sick with cancer and suffering to much. For the past few weeks I didn't know if she was going to make it through the night. ABC has put up with us calling them several times asking questions. They were very gentle with Josie and were very supportive for my family. We have taken both of our cats here to get de-clawed and have found that it is the most affordable with the same quality. We have had absolutely no issues with this place. We were referred here by my aunt who took her own cat here for the same purpose. We have also come here for vaccines and they are well priced for that, too. I brought my kitten to them for a routine spay and a few hours later got a phone call that she was dead and had a heart attack. She was a healthy and happy 6 month old kitten. They must have messed up some how. This is too odd. Please dont take your animals to them. I dont want anyone else to go through what me and my family are going through. Read Less
