Nope.My rabbit had a bloody discharge and needed a spay. I did my homework and felt comfortable with Dr. Hollars. Phone correspondence was very easy to set up an appointment, and the hours are very convenient as they're open much later than most vets. The first appointment on 12/20 was late, so I was very thankful for the hours considering we live over an hour away. Dr. Hollars expressed her rates are a bit higher than others but I can't put a price on my bun's health. We needed an appointment for her to get her spay done ASAP, so Dr. Hollars set the date and time for 12/27 @ 11:00AM. I was impressed with her setting the appointment, rather accommodating to our schedules because it felt like my rabbit was the main focus and we had to work around her. Loved that.Around 12/23, before the spay appointment, I got an email with an updated estimate and some side note about needing to do an animal profile before the spay. If this was a mandatory workup that needed to be done, THEY should have scheduled that in or the least ask when I would be available to come in and do it, again considering we live over an hour away and it was expressed multiple times.on 12/27 I got a phone call at around 7 AM asking if we would be there soon. Confused as the appointment wasn't until 11 AM, I told them I wouldn't be there soon, as the appointment wasn't until 11. The receptionist stumbled for words then proceeded to tell me they'll see me then. Around 9 I got another phone call saying I never came in for the profiling, so instead of doing a spay they would be doing a profile. When I got there I only talked to a tech, sat for 15 minutes for the profile and left.I got a phone call around 12/30 saying her profile was done, it came out good and we should proceed with the spay that we may have scheduled on 01/04 -- no such appointment, but I get it she's busy.I called around 01/03 because I needed to get this spay done and wanted to set up an appointment, and I had some questioned regarding her medication. The tech told me to throw out the medication and I could talk back when the doctor was in.I called back when she was in and talked to her directly. I asked about the medication, in which she told me to keep administering it because she didn't see how much longer my rabbit could go without the spay. I mentioned the appointment from 12/27 and how we only did a profile. She proceeded to tell me "well yes, you were supposed to come in an get blood work done at least 24 hours in advance of the spay."I'm not a vet, vet tech, or in the medical field. To me, a profile means a photo of half your face. I'm an artist, not a damn tech. I don't see the same things you do. Up till that point, I didn't even know an animal profile and blood work were the same thing. So I told her I didn't know that, because at this point I thought we were on two different pages. She told me "I don't know if you weren't..... I don't see how you didn't know because I told you that the last time, and the tech told you in the email."Firstly, I did not expect to be spoken to as if I were incompetent. I figured this was a misunderstanding and we would chalk it up as one. I went on with the conversation by mentioning the calls the morning of the appointment.Again, she disrespects me by saying "again, I don't know where you thought the appointment was at 11, we needed you here around 7-8."Are you even kidding me. I told her the paperwork said 11, but she wasn't having it. "Pre-op was explained to you and you should have been here much earlier than 11, we explained that to you"No, you explained block scheduling. To me, block scheduling is back to back classes, because the last time I heard that was in middle school. I'm not stupid, I understand what pre-op is, but it's not my responsibility to KNOW I need to be at an appointment FOUR hours early. She tried to schedule the spay for 01/11, but I was afraid it would be too soon to my trip out of town on 01/12. She talked to me like shit and obviously didn't care that i would be out of the state and insisted with the appointment. I booked it with no intentions of going. Not after being treated that way. A few days before the appointment I got an email with a reminder of the appointment at 7:00 AM, and I had a phone call voicemail as a reminder. The day of I had a few unanswered phone calls, and after the missed appointment, I had a few more calls. They did more effort in course correction than they did when I was an actual client. All I needed was someone to either apologize or express the miscommunication. I didn't need someone to blame me and not take the responsibility.I ended up going to CityVet where I was treated with warmth and respect. They apologized for the experience I endured and the treatment I received. It's so sad when another establishment has to apologize for these actions. Read Less
