If you have a healthy pet that only needs check ups or shots, I guess it's an average clinic to go to. My dog was suddenly very ill and I went there in distress as it was close to my home. The young vet on duty was not what we needed at that moment. The way we were treated was unprofessional. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

This place is amazing! the veterinarians and veterinarian assistants are absolute angels. I took my mother-in-law to a different vet because her dog was wheezing. we thought it was allergies or something like that. That other place basically suggested to us that we should put her dog down!! Just by listening to his heart. No rest no nothing! my mother-in-law was hysterical and beyond upset getting this horrible news! that same day we came to family pet care and yes they did tell us he had some heart complications but that it was manageable and that he could be with us a little bit longer! not once mentioned anything about putting him down that day like the other place!! they made us feel so at home being there. they will forever have my business and I will forever recommend my friends and family there because they actually took the time to see what is going on with my mother-in-law's dog. they took the time to help him and help her and calm her and it was absolutely appreciated! thank you so much family pet care.

I trust this vet more than any other clinic. Although my favorite doctor, Dr Jaramillo, is gone now there's still some of the techs I know and love and the new doctor seemed knowledgeable and kind hearted. This vet has saved multiple kitties lives for me including one that had a 10% chance of surviving her ordeal. They have great hours and great service!

My family had been coming here for years and today was the most awful event I have ever experienced. I just needed a safe place for my dog but this place has changed.
You tell me my dog is a danger to your staff but have no problem taking my money and wasting my time. Your office manager also felt the need to try picking a fight with me when I'm already angry. I hope this place closes and a parking lot gets put in its place.
Find a local Vet closer to your home that you can trust. If you really have as much grief with these people as I do, File with the better business bureau. I will.

I was told that morning by your own technician that if he needed sedation that the procedure would not be done. I told the technician okay that was fine and I have texts between me and my husband that the procedure would not be done that morning if he really needed sedation. I was not called until after the procedure had already taken place, and I brought this up twice with your own vet over the phone. I don't appreciate being made to be seen as someone who just wouldn't sedate a dog who was in pain when I have sedated my dog before at your practice. I also informed your vet that I had ordered a calming medication under the advisement of my own vet. Your manager when I spoke to her couldn't even tell me what your medication was. I find your business practices distasteful.

In over 9 years of dealing with Family PetCare our group(DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue) has not experienced anything but caring and professional service for our dogs. When you rescue dogs from abusive homes, animal shelters, or ones that have been on their own for a period of time, a kind word and a gentle hand is more than necessary it is welcomed by both the rescuers and the dog. A part of running a business is sometimes not doing the popular thing...I don't believe that there is not more here than meets the eye but I am speaking only for the quality of work and care that this practice delivers. Without them our group could not begin to save as many dogs as we have done.

Dr. Morton and his staff are amazing and deeply caring towards the clients and their pets whether it be fury, covered in scales or feathers big or small they'll take great care of them all. Family Pet Care has cared for all my dogs and Drake my bearded dragon who i adopted from their clinic
I've recommended them to many others and other rescues. The staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate. They've expanded their clinic to include a larger boarding facility, and they have their own dog park to exercise the dogs in their care they also have a wonderful and sweet groomer who loves to care for your pets as well

Don't use their kennels. When we picked up our Border Collie after 6 days of boarding... he was thin and stressed out. They used the t-shirt, we left for our dog to have our smell, for surgery on another animal. They lost his collar, then searched for it and found it but the tags were not on it. Still haven't replaced them. Took our dog two weeks to begin eating normal and regaining weight. He was howling, curled up in the corner of his kennel... totally stressed out. Not good. Beware!

Your staff is great. Every time I have come in you explain what is needed. You give the price once we have agreed you provide the service then ask for payment. You have never rushed in and out. You even comforted my daughter when Bear had to have a happy shot to get his ears done. Anyone who reads other posts on here. Judge for yourself not by what someone else has said. Family Pet Care does not take care of their clients and patients. I had an appointment for my cat. She was to have an exam, fvrcp, & nail trim. When the doctor came in, I had to hold my cat for her exam. The exam was over in less than 10 second. They then took Cali into the back so they could vaccinate her & trim her nails. Cali was brought back to me in a net, which was put in her carrier. The technician told me I would have to get Cali out of the net and into her carrier. Of course no nail trim. I paid about $70.00 & did not get anything for it. I paid them to handle Cali & the only thing they did was upset her. I am not sure if they even vaccinated her. I will not be going back.

Im in collections for auto loans and I dont treat the borrowers who are late like that. I've had my baby for 6 years. Brought her in fforan examination and have not seen her or been allowed to see her since. Is this legal? I understand shes property, but if I take my car to get its transmission fixed, the mechanic doesn't deny me the liberty to merely LOOK at the car or NOT DISCLOSE where the car is at. This facility is sick and in the end, God sees ALL. *UPDATE 8/31/16 I came the day after the next which is today during my lunch to check and see if the manager was there so I could see the condition of my dog and they told me that she had been adopted. I wanted to make a scene but I had to be back at work in just a few minutes. I want everybody do not take your pick here. You will take her pet in here for a resolution for their help and end up losing the dog instead. Had I known I would have taken her somewhere else or done diligent research on them and ask how they conduct their business. I will also be posting this on Yelp. I had my sweet baby for 60 years and she was not from me in a sneaky conniving way. they don't communicate with you they're very secretive and they will call you if you call them only. My wife has been taking our animals to this vet for nearly 10 years. Chandra Pryor has always been great to us. Today, my wife came across 3 kittens in our neighborhood in the rain. She brought the kittens here to spend the night and even offered to pay for food with the understanding that she would pick them up in the morning and take them to the pound. The receptionist, Kim Dodge, then told my wife she would have to pay for boarding. They are not our pets. We assumed that they would be interested in helping these animals but we're wrong. Kim then stated that she took down my wife's license plate number and would be reporting her for animal abandonment. Seriously? I work with the SPCA, we have 2 pets that are rescues and have been a customer of yours for 10 years but we are "animal abandoners" for trying to find a place for 3 kittens to spend the night out of the rain. To say we are disappointed would be a HUGE understatement.

My Yorkie does not really like people but was in love with the nurse Chelsea. He was such a good boy for her it just really made us feel this was the right Vet for us. The Dr, Christina (I think that is her name) was excellent also. They answered all our new pet parent questions and put us at ease about how to schedual things to fit in our budget and not put our puppy in peril.

The amazing people at this office took care of our Campbell for sixteen weeks. Our handsome boy was homeless and in need of surgery when he was found injured and lost in Texas. The doctors and staff here did what they needed to do and lovingly nursed him back to health so he could then be an adoptable dog. After his recovery Campbell came to us and we are forever grateful. I read his medical notes a tear up every time. I can see the care and love in every note on his chart. Campbell is now a healthy boy who has no apparent trouble with his hip at all! He runs and plays. He digs and bounces around like nothing ever happened at all. Thank you so much for giving our young Campbell a new beginning. We are all forever grateful.

This is an amazingly caring facilty. We have had many of our dogs there for medical care and I have witnessed first hand the care that everyone of the staff give our dogs. As a rescue we are indebted to them for always having an open door. We recently had a dog that came in that had a very complex reaction to separation from the others he was rescued with that went to another group of rescuers in different part of the state, he was a very sick little dog refusing to eat or drink. Thanks to Dr. Duncan, the entire vet staff and every person that came in contact with Bobby who gave him love, kindness and amazing care he is fully recovered. Everyone of the staff from dog walker, vet tech to the great vets give our dogs so much time, attention and care. We are so happy to have them as one of our preferred vets. If you have a healthy pet that only needs check ups or shots, I guess it's an average clinic to go to. My dog was suddenly very ill and I went there in distress as it was close to my home. The young vet on duty was not what we needed at that moment. The way we were treated was unprofessional. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I took my mother-in-law to a different vet because her dog was wheezing. we thought it was allergies or something like that. That other place basically suggested to us that we should put her dog down!! Just by listening to his heart. No rest no nothing! my mother-in-law was hysterical and beyond upset getting this horrible news! that same day we came to family pet care and yes they did tell us he had some heart complications but that it was manageable and that he could be with us a little bit longer! not once mentioned anything about putting him down that day like the other place!! they made us feel so at home being there. they will forever have my business and I will forever recommend my friends and family there because they actually took the time to see what is going on with my mother-in-law's dog. they took the time to help him and help her and calm her and it was absolutely appreciated! thank you so much family pet care.

I trust this vet more than any other clinic. Although my favorite doctor, Dr Jaramillo, is gone now there's still some of the techs I know and love and the new doctor seemed knowledgeable and kind hearted. This vet has saved multiple kitties lives for me including one that had a 10% chance of surviving her ordeal. They have great hours and great service!

My family had been coming here for years and today was the most awful event I have ever experienced. I just needed a safe place for my dog but this place has changed.
You tell me my dog is a danger to your staff but have no problem taking my money and wasting my time. Your office manager also felt the need to try picking a fight with me when I'm already angry. I hope this place closes and a parking lot gets put in its place.
Find a local Vet closer to your home that you can trust. If you really have as much grief with these people as I do, File with the better business bureau. I will.

I was told that morning by your own technician that if he needed sedation that the procedure would not be done. I told the technician okay that was fine and I have texts between me and my husband that the procedure would not be done that morning if he really needed sedation. I was not called until after the procedure had already taken place, and I brought this up twice with your own vet over the phone. I don't appreciate being made to be seen as someone who just wouldn't sedate a dog who was in pain when I have sedated my dog before at your practice. I also informed your vet that I had ordered a calming medication under the advisement of my own vet. Your manager when I spoke to her couldn't even tell me what your medication was. I find your business practices distasteful.

When you rescue dogs from abusive homes, animal shelters, or ones that have been on their own for a period of time, a kind word and a gentle hand is more than necessary it is welcomed by both the rescuers and the dog. A part of running a business is sometimes not doing the popular thing...I don't believe that there is not more here than meets the eye but I am speaking only for the quality of work and care that this practice delivers. Without them our group could not begin to save as many dogs as we have done.

I've recommended them to many others and other rescues. The staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate. They've expanded their clinic to include a larger boarding facility, and they have their own dog park to exercise the dogs in their care they also have a wonderful and sweet groomer who loves to care for your pets as well

They used the t-shirt, we left for our dog to have our smell, for surgery on another animal. They lost his collar, then searched for it and found it but the tags were not on it. Still haven't replaced them. Took our dog two weeks to begin eating normal and regaining weight. He was howling, curled up in the corner of his kennel... totally stressed out. Not good. Beware!

Your staff is great. Every time I have come in you explain what is needed. You give the price once we have agreed you provide the service then ask for payment. You have never rushed in and out. You even comforted my daughter when Bear had to have a happy shot to get his ears done. Anyone who reads other posts on here. Judge for yourself not by what someone else has said. Family Pet Care does not take care of their clients and patients. I had an appointment for my cat. She was to have an exam, fvrcp, & nail trim. When the doctor came in, I had to hold my cat for her exam. The exam was over in less than 10 second. They then took Cali into the back so they could vaccinate her & trim her nails. Cali was brought back to me in a net, which was put in her carrier. The technician told me I would have to get Cali out of the net and into her carrier. Of course no nail trim. I paid about $70.00 & did not get anything for it. I paid them to handle Cali & the only thing they did was upset her. I am not sure if they even vaccinated her. I will not be going back.

Im in collections for auto loans and I dont treat the borrowers who are late like that. I've had my baby for 6 years. Brought her in fforan examination and have not seen her or been allowed to see her since. Is this legal? I understand shes property, but if I take my car to get its transmission fixed, the mechanic doesn't deny me the liberty to merely LOOK at the car or NOT DISCLOSE where the car is at. This facility is sick and in the end, God sees ALL. *UPDATE 8/31/16 I came the day after the next which is today during my lunch to check and see if the manager was there so I could see the condition of my dog and they told me that she had been adopted. I wanted to make a scene but I had to be back at work in just a few minutes. I want everybody do not take your pick here. You will take her pet in here for a resolution for their help and end up losing the dog instead. Had I known I would have taken her somewhere else or done diligent research on them and ask how they conduct their business. I will also be posting this on Yelp. I had my sweet baby for 60 years and she was not from me in a sneaky conniving way. they don't communicate with you they're very secretive and they will call you if you call them only. My wife has been taking our animals to this vet for nearly 10 years. Chandra Pryor has always been great to us. Today, my wife came across 3 kittens in our neighborhood in the rain. She brought the kittens here to spend the night and even offered to pay for food with the understanding that she would pick them up in the morning and take them to the pound. The receptionist, Kim Dodge, then told my wife she would have to pay for boarding. They are not our pets. We assumed that they would be interested in helping these animals but we're wrong. Kim then stated that she took down my wife's license plate number and would be reporting her for animal abandonment. Seriously? I work with the SPCA, we have 2 pets that are rescues and have been a customer of yours for 10 years but we are "animal abandoners" for trying to find a place for 3 kittens to spend the night out of the rain. To say we are disappointed would be a HUGE understatement.

My Yorkie does not really like people but was in love with the nurse Chelsea. He was such a good boy for her it just really made us feel this was the right Vet for us. The Dr, Christina (I think that is her name) was excellent also. They answered all our new pet parent questions and put us at ease about how to schedual things to fit in our budget and not put our puppy in peril.

The amazing people at this office took care of our Campbell for sixteen weeks. Our handsome boy was homeless and in need of surgery when he was found injured and lost in Texas. The doctors and staff here did what they needed to do and lovingly nursed him back to health so he could then be an adoptable dog. After his recovery Campbell came to us and we are forever grateful. I read his medical notes a tear up every time. I can see the care and love in every note on his chart. Campbell is now a healthy boy who has no apparent trouble with his hip at all! He runs and plays. He digs and bounces around like nothing ever happened at all. Thank you so much for giving our young Campbell a new beginning. We are all forever grateful.

This is an amazingly caring facilty. We have had many of our dogs there for medical care and I have witnessed first hand the care that everyone of the staff give our dogs. As a rescue we are indebted to them for always having an open door. We recently had a dog that came in that had a very complex reaction to separation from the others he was rescued with that went to another group of rescuers in different part of the state, he was a very sick little dog refusing to eat or drink. Thanks to Dr. Duncan, the entire vet staff and every person that came in contact with Bobby who gave him love, kindness and amazing care he is fully recovered. Everyone of the staff from dog walker, vet tech to the great vets give our dogs so much time, attention and care. We are so happy to have them as one of our preferred vets.
