Amazing vets, all the staff has been awesome to us as we have moved from Dallas to Fort Worth, and originally from Phoenix. I still wish they also handled exotics, but they are the BEST I have seen in any location I have been in. My babies are doing very well under their care and we have had quite the 2018 so far. They really do care about your pet here. I've been several times and Dr. Yip and Dr. Young show care and attention to each animal they see. The rest of the staff are also awesome. They give a treat to your dog if you want but not if you don't and they treat the pets like family. It might be slightly more expensive than some places but honestly they have my loyalty. Read Less

This is by far the best veterinary practice we have ever been. Dr. Young is an amazing veterinarian. He’s very smart, practical, and very much cares for his furry patients. We had our cat that had a tooth infection with a recent procedure. We had went to another vet (won’t say where) had his tooth pulled and did well but then in a few days was noticeably uncomfortable. Took him to Dr Young for eval and different opinion and he noticed they didn’t take out all the tooth. They got our cat, Frank in that afternoon and pulled the remaining bits of his tooth. Dr Young gave us his cell phone and everything in case frank didn’t do well for any reason and said we could meet at the clinic! How great is that! Wish my doc was as accessible. He’s taken care of our geriatric dog, our cats, and our special disabled cat. We had to move and it was a 2 day car ride and he helped us with medications until we could find a vet in Virginia...our new state. We have a new vet who’s okay...but really miss Dr. Young. We had an excellent experience here with our boxer. The office is clean and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the doctor was compassionate. We did end up getting a referral from Harris to a specialist for my dog's rare immune condition which was truly optimal because that told me they were willing to admit when something was beyond their scope of practice. Not an emergency but kind of an emergency. Pup was wetting the bed without knowing it and as we were leaving town Friday I needed to be sure it wasn't something more than age related incontinence like a UTI or diabetes.They squeezed me in and treated my pup kindly. I called on April 17 for a new patient visit for our cat, Schatzi. He had an eye problem that was had us concerned. I was pleasantly surprised when they could see him that afternoon! Even better, Schatzi felt so at ease with all the caring staff! They were kind, explained things well, and were very professional. You won't find a better facility. I recommend to anybody! Treated like family here. Always willing to work us in when needed and never feel like we are rushed in and out of our appointments. Consistent with keeping animals (patients) separated. Very short amount of time in the lobby so pet isn't around other animals while waiting. Someone always walks you out, and again avoiding other animals to keep pets and owners protected. Both vets always have our fur babies needs ahead of their own. They set the standard in the industry. Able to work us in during the middle of the week for a general visit. The wait was about 20 minutes, but the soothing music in the waiting room and and a cookie helped pass the time. The waiting room was large, which helped keep the animals far apart from each other, lowering their anxiety. The doctor was extremely caring and gentle with the animals, and his touch seemed to automatically give them a sense of who was in charge, so they didn't put up a fight, which helped lower their anxiety and helped move the visit along faster. This place was extremely over priced. I asked for an itemized quote to know what I was paying for and the office manager's response was it would be more expensive if they did that. She basically pushed us out of there because I had questions about the estimate. By the way, the quote was $740 for a two inch lesion repair which in Cleburne it cost me $220. Save your money and make the drive for a more friendlier staff and almost 3 times less the expense. Read Less

This clinic is extremely expensive. We took our two dogs in (small and medium) for annual exams and shots. Walked out having paid over $500! Yes the vet was thorough, nice and did a good job with our dogs. Yes the office was clean and the staff was nice. However I've been to other vets with quality people and facilities that cost half what we paid. It's partially my fault for not calling ahead for prices, but I never dreamed it would be that much!! Dr. Young is the BEST!! I recently moved from Phoenix to Dallas and then from Dallas to Fort Worth... I am SOOO happy they are so close because I couldn't find any better than Dr. Young and his team! My dog survived a house fire in March 2015, she tore her cranial cruciate ligament in her right knee the night of it attempting to jump out of the brick backyard. She had surgery to repair in Phoenix shortly after and they said the other might go within 1-2 years. Well it did. So Dr. Young and his team completed her surgery on Friday, November 18, 2016. She is doing GREAT. She's not fully on it yet, of course, but she is definitely in great hands and I fully expect her to have full use of that leg in no time flat. She tends to get tumors on her eyelid as well and I feel confident I have found a vet that can be her go-to for whatever her needs may be.She's also not the easiest dog to care for outside of her house, she's fearful and has high anxiety with aggressive tendencies outside of her home. He shows zero fear of her and loves on her just like he sees the sweetheart that she is at home and not the scared, growling and barking dog presented to him. (sidenote: she is always muzzled during visits for everyone's safety, hers included). Truly you should give them a try, I sleep sooo much better knowing I have found this place. I recently moved to Fort Worth and was looking for a new Vet, I'm so glad I found this place! Brought my dog in for a routine exam and to get him up to date on his vaccines. When scheduling, the receptionist was very polite and professional and answered my million questions with ease. When we walked in the lady at the front greeted us and came out to say hello to my dog and give him treats, which he and I both appreciated as it helped to break the ice and make my dog feel more at ease. When we were taken back the tech asked what all I wanted done today, I told her and she didn't push for additional things I hadn't asked for which I thought was REALLY great. She asked if she could take my dog into the next room for a minute, unbeknownst to me she and the Doctor were dressing him up for a "patient picture" which they gave me a copy of! How fun! The Vet ( Dr. Yip) was FANTASTIC! She was very thorough in her exam and answered all of my questions, she has the sweetest disposition and was so great with my dog, lots of belly rubs! I recently relocated to Fort Worth, so I had no choice but to find a new vet. I chose Harris Parkway Animal Hospital based on location and Yelp reviews, and I made the right choice! I have had my blind great dane for six years and have visited a lot of vets and various specialists over that time. Harris Parkway Animal Hospital is as good as it gets! They were SO sweet with her. They knew that she was leash aggressive, so scheduled us so that we could go straight into an examination room and not wait in the lobby. Both the vet and tech took their time to get to know Nellie with treats, and rubs and love. They sat on the floor and just talked with/around her before starting the exam. She was calm and happy the whole time. AND THEN they took her in the back for a halloween photo shoot with their little studio. I went home with two adorable pics of Nellie. One normal, and one with her dressed as a whale. The cost was reasonable and her diagnosis was realistic! I can't wait to bring my kitten in for a checkup next week! Read Less

Dr. Young and his entire practice is just wonderful. We have two cats and one dog who are all patients. They have treated us for all checkups, but also more serious visits, like removing a fish hook from our cat's paw, treating an abscessed foot on our other cat, scar tissue removal, and stitching up our dog's ear after he was attacked by another dog. Needless to say, I entrust my pets' health to Dr. Young 100%. He even gives you his personal cell phone number if you need to call after hours, which I have done and he was very helpful and understanding. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies. This was a fantastic experience. I arrived at around 7:30 and expected to wait in the parking lot until 8 when the door said they opened. The receptionist came out to my car and told me to come on in that they were open. She even offered to carry the cat for me. I waited for less than 5 minutes to be taken back and I feel like the vet actually listened to me instead of just talking at me! Everyone from the time I walked in the building until I left made me feel like I was the only client they were going to have today. Nothing was rushed, everything was thorough, everything was clean. I liked this veterinarian a lot! Well priced. Thorough. Friendly. Sweet to my dog. I felt like my dog felt like she was in a safe and happy place. They had bath mats on the scales and on the exam table to make the animals feel more comfortable. There is even a red hydrant out front! I confess, I chose this veterinarian from Yelp because they give out chocolate chip cookies! And they are fresh baked I think! Mmmm!They also have Keurig coffee! Yum! Great attention to details!!Seriously love this vet! They are all so kind and caring. One thing they do that I love is that every time you come in, they take an updated picture of your fur baby, update it in their system, and print a few copies for you to hang on your fridge!  it's a special little extra that most vets don't really do.They did an EXCELLENT job with our puppies spay too. The first place we went did a poor job and she was restless so she kept breaking the incision open. We brought her here to fix it and it was done very well! We were visiting Ft. Worth for Thanksgiving when our dog became sick. We were far from our normal vet and were very concerned about our dog's well being. After an Internet search, we settled on Harris Parkway Animal Hospital. We couldn't have made a better choice! Dr. Young and his staff were simply amazing. They cared for our little guy as if he was their own and took care of us, as well (with freshly baked cookies and coffee). I can't begin to express how appreciative we were that they were able to accommodate us on short notice and their professionalism was unparalleled. They were upfront about costs (which we found to be reasonable and fair) and deferred to us after giving us a range of treatment options. Dr. Young may be the best vet in history. I originally took my dog to another vet  -who we live 3 minutes from - to have a lump checked out. He wanted to do surgery (w/ general anesthesia), send off for a biopsy report, etc, which he estimated would cost over $900. Asking Dr. Young for a second opinion was the best thing I could have done at that point. Dr. Young took a biopsy in his office, checked it out, and let us know that the lump was a non-cancerous cyst. He also did a thorough evaluation, and even trimmed her nails for us. The most unbelievable thing is that he didn't even charge us. He said 'he really liked' our dog and wouldn't charge us for the visit. He is now my permanent vet, needless to say. I drive by several other clinics during the half hour drive to Harris Parkway, and will continue to do so as long as I live in the DFW area. Read Less

I just recently adopted my sweet Basset Hound pup and we visited Dr. Young at the Harris Parkway Animal Hospital for the first time today. My Basset recently had heartworm treatment elsewhere, which she's still recovering from, but I took her in today due to a minor nasal issue.Not only were the front desk staff friendly and helpful, but the vet techs were just as kind. Dr. Young is very thorough and spent as much time as I needed  answering my "new mom" questions. It's apparent that Dr. Young loves animals, as any vet should, but his overall pleasant, caring, interested attitude and demeanor are truly exceptional. I would recommend Dr. Young to anyone with pets in the DFW area, and I won't be taking my pup anywhere else!Bonus: The front lobby is very large and spacious, and the Harris Parkway Animal Hospital takes pictures (Dr. Young does it himself!) of your pet and with your permission, puts them on their Facebook page with fun captions (they even printed out a picture of my pup for me to take home with me!). My dogs are like my children, and the staff and vets at this Animal Hospital made me feel like they truly cared about my animals. They are kind, they talk to you like they have a real concern for the health of your pet. They aren't just a run through the routine weigh your pet, take your money kind of place. They always offer me a drink, ask me if I need anything, ask me how my other animals are doing.......and mind you I've only lived here for a year and been there a few times.....and they still take the time to ask as if they've known me for years.
