I have an English bulldog and being aware not many vets are familiar with the breed, I did my research and was recommended by a fellow bulldog owner. The ratings here were near perfect, I immediately cancelled my appointment with ABC and booked here and am glad I did. They were fairly priced, thorough and gave me options with no hassle. This is by far the best vet I've ever brought any of my pets to. The doctors are exceptionally courteous and friendly and you can tell they have a genuine love for the animals they treat. On top of that they have very reasonable prices. They don't try to use an owners love of their pet to try and get more money out of them. We are new to Texas and needed a vet for our pups. We first saw them for an annual for our dog and we met Dr. Goodman he was great and answered all questions we had. We then adopted a second dog after our move, and saw Dr. Rickord for a wellness visit, again, very awesome. He answered all questions we had and looked over our new guy. We then had to come in because our one dog wasn't feeling so well. They looked over her and got her the medication she needed and answered all the hundred questions I had. I have been very pleased with all the vet assistants and doctors we have come in contact with. I would highly recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone looking for care their furry friends! Read Less

My 2 year old lab LOVES it here. He hasn't figured out that they give him shots sometimes, apparently, and cries when we get close because I don't park the car fast enough to get him inside and see Dr. Jill. (We call her his Dr. girlfriend because he loves her so much!) We've pretty much seen every doctor and been pleased with all of them as well as the rest of the staff. Great group of animal lovers who take great care of my baby. We even moved and I still make the 40 minute drive to Rickord's rather than find a closer vet. Read Less

Very professional friendly, caring practice. Never fails to help my Dogs when they are ill. Dr knows his/her stuff and cares about his/her patients and patients parents too. Has great hours too, open on the weekend and Sunday. Very nice clean office and prices are fair. My 13 year old Terrier just went through being put to sleep to have his teeth cleaned. they did all the necessary tests to make sure he was healthy enough to be put to sleep with no problems. Dr. Rickords called me to talk with my directly. He was very nice and has had a family emergency so he was out of the office and he thanked me for bringing this issue to his attention so he can fix it. Like I said the people that work there are great.-----------I have been taking my two dogs here for a year. The vet is great but the office staff and miscommunication is a HUGE issue! I always had to wait at least 30 min after my appointment time to get a room. Ok, I don't mind waiting if it is a good vet. But they messes up my two dogs records recording that one dog got rabies even though it was the other one that received the shot. I kept going to them because they are very affordable and I won't lie, they do seem to care about animals. My problem is I got a new kitten and she got a cold. I took her in at 10:30 am and they said just drop her off and they would keep her in the officer's managers office. So I did and I hadn't heard anything by 4 so I called up there because I was worried she would be stuck in a crate all day. They said that they were still working on her. I finally called at 4:45 and the office lady said that they should be done by the time I got up there. I said ok what's wrong with her? She said the vet wants to talk to me but she didn't know what was wrong. I started thinking the worst because colds to kitten can be fatal. I went up there and the lady said I don't know if the vet wants to talk to you in a room or not but can I check you out? I said I don't even know what is going on. So she went back to get the vet tech, Skyler (he was very nice by the way). During this time they have a man sitting in the waiting room to fill out paperwork to put his animal down and telling him the different options. To me this should be done in the back to give him privacy. Then another girl in the front came up and asked if she could check me out and I started crying because I was so scared I would have to put this kitten down. Then Skyler comes out with my kitten and meds. He sees me crying and was super nice and saying that my kitten was fine. Turns out no one called me to tell me what was going on when they were supposed to. They took a fecal sample and gave her an antibiotic shot without asking if they could perform the procedures or telling me the cost. After that I will no longer go back there even though they are cheaper. This wasn't just a one time event and if they are going to perform procedures on my animal without telling me the price and then expect me to pay for it, who knows what else they might "forget" or "mess up on" that could cause my animal their life. I also have an older dog and I think it is disrespectful to have someone talking to a owner about what type of services (like a paw print) that they offer after they put down your animal while they are filling out the paperwork to do that procedure in the waiting room in front of several other clients. I took my cat my baby boy in July 28th he was having a UTI so I thought this visit was ok brought him home and noticed he wasn't him self and he was swollen, called Tuesday morning they said the care instruction was was given was wrong so I fixed it I called again Tuesday afternoon they said they'd have someone call me back and they never did so I called Wednesday and expressed my concerns again he wasn't him self and he was swollen they said he was ok and that night I could tell something was wrong. So I called Thursday morning and told them I had to bring him in something was not right he was swollen still and very much not there, they said they would get to him being that they were double booked. So I had to leave my baby there and wait for a phone call on a treatment plan fine. She called 3hrs layer said he needed another catherter and insisted that was the problem again so I came up with the money and she called me back after doing the procedure to tell me not enough came out that he had a year in his bladder and there wasn't much they could do she suggested to keep him asleep she said it's a bummer. So I agreed to keep him asleep until we got there to say bye to him. Sighs when we got there they brought him in and she had already put him down she said it's a bummer and she assumed that's what I meant, so I never got to be with my baby to make sure he knew he wasn't alone and say bye to him. She assumed and took my baby away from me. I will never go to this vet again I feel it was because if her I have my baby in a box. Read Less
