I’ve never had a reason to post a bad review before until now. In the small town where I am from people who work in vet offices have a natural love and talent for what they do, unfortunately this place does not follow the same rule. This is not a reflection on the veteranarian himself as we did not actually see him, but for his employees. How can you show how easily you are inconvenienced to do your job? The “red” headed girl there stared at us blankly, gave attitude, looked unprofessional, and seemed to have a problem with anything we could have brought in. Instead of being asked “how can we help you, what’s going on today, etc” we were warmly welcomed with a rude “can I help you?” After we told her what’s wrong she stared again instead of promptly checking to see how she can “help”and assist the situation. Then confused as to why we brought a dog into an animal hospital she questions “who’s that?”. I cannot begin to describe the attitude we received, it was almost as if we intruded into her home in the late hours. Whilst this small transaction of words is happening another woman’s dog has an accident. The other employee cops an attitude and heaves an “oh great” as in this dog has single handily targeted her to ruin her morning. I get it, it’s not an ideal start, but accidents do happen. And the field of career you decided to take, that’s the kind of accident that happens the most. By this time the employee who first “greeted” us has come back to tell us her veterinarian is in surgery and cannot help us. Which would’ve been good to know from the beginning as we waited for about 15 minutes before she came back, 15 minutes we could’ve used to find someone to help our dog and would have been happy to help. Thankfully we were able to go to Hulen Hills animal hospital which gave us perfect customer care and we were confident with them taking care of our dog. Employees: you chose the career path you are in, learn to love it. Do not make your customers/patients feel terrible about their decision of walking in and choosing your service over the dozens of others in the area. Exute more confidence, care more, and have a better attitude and outlook. I will not return here, but that is the least of your worries

If you are looking for an old fashion vet, Dr Brooks is it. Doesn't matter if this is your first visit with new kitten/puppy or final moment with your beloved pet, care, love and understanding will amaze you. It is something not found anymore in new, fancy animal clinics. Oh yeah, prices are reasonable too.

Wait was too long. He also vigorously shook my cat while injecting him with an antibiotic. When I asked what the purpose of shaking my cat was he said it was to distract him. That's not good enough, there are other ways to distract a cat or simply ask for assistance.

He is straight forward and does not like to prescribe medicine instead he like to teach and use some natural ways to cure animals. i was referred to him and it was the best chose that i made about my animal health care. I took my cat that has had diarrhea for almost a month to Westridge Animal Hospital on Nov 29th. Not only was Dr Brook rude to me but he never showed an ounce of compassion to my sick and very scared cat. He started examining her and not once did he speak to her or pet her or anything to assure her she didn't have to be scared of him. When he walked out of the room she jumped down and hid in the corner underneath the examination area. He came back and picked her up by the neck and gave her a shot and dug in her ears after putting some oil in them and I had to ask what he was putting in her ear and what was the shot for. He said she had yeast in both ears and Irritable bowel syndrome. He wrote her to prescriptions and told me I will probably need to bring her in weekly for a few weeks and when I told him I was on SSI and only get $690 and could not afford to and I told him someone was helping pay for todays visit he looked at me and said, You want be taking the prescriptions home until you can pay for them. He was willing to let her continue to suffer over the $40 for the meds had I not been able to pay. I don't have the money but I still do for animals in need. I fed 12 ferals twice a day for 8 years, I foster dozens of kittens to keep them out of shelters and treat them for ear mites and fleas and I just got two fixed because the owner keeps letting her cat go outside and she stays pregnant. I do this because I truly care and it's not in me to do nothing to help one in need, so to have him tell me that just told me he is about the money. He could have even said it in a nicer tone. The next day about 4:30 my cat takes a poop and passes the thermometer that Dr Brook forgot in her already soar rectum! I would put my animal to sleep before ever taking one to him! His staff was nice except not one person in the office acknowledge my cat period! I on the other hand spoke to all the animals that was roaming the office or came in. How can someone not want to show some affection to an animal when in the same room?

My husband took our beloved dog there to have him put down. Very hard and sad decision to make. The vet refused to allow him to be in the room with our pup during, which is weird and unacceptable. Therefore we had to take him someplace else. I understand some people don't want to be in the room during their baby's last moments but it should be our choice. I would not recommend this vet for this reason. It's weird and wrong to make my poor baby go through his last moments without dad there to make the process easier for him. I will never use this vet again for any type of visit.

Dr. Brooks and Ashley are always helpful and friendly.I brought my last dog to Dr.Brooks when I had already gotten a grim diagnosis, I wanted to do everything I could to keep her alive and I did, Dr Brooks did not discourage me and helped all he could. My dog passed but I appreciate all this vet did for me. I take my current dog there and his bedside manner is excellent he's always informative and doesn't over charge me or have me do unnecessary things. A great clinic.

I’ve never had a reason to post a bad review before until now. In the small town where I am from people who work in vet offices have a natural love and talent for what they do, unfortunately this place does not follow the same rule. This is not a reflection on the veteranarian himself as we did not actually see him, but for his employees. How can you show how easily you are inconvenienced to do your job? Dr. Brooks and Ashley are always helpful and friendly.I brought my last dog to Dr.Brooks when I had already gotten a grim diagnosis, I wanted to do everything I could to keep her alive and I did, Dr Brooks did not discourage me and helped all he could. the only place to go dr brooks & staff are the best you can ask all of my heard humphey ch ch jack winston and the cats tango has gone there for 17 years thanks to the best dr in town

Ashley, the office manager at Westridge, is so very nice and professional. The other two girls need some work. Great experience though.
