Friendswood, Texas
General Info
Pet Vet Hospitals are full service hospitals providing: -Major Medical Care -Radiology and In-house Diagnostics -Surgery Including Spays and Neuters -Vaccinations -Dentistry Pet Vet offers Pet Foods and Supplies including a full range of high quality, premium and prescription diets for your pet. Pet Vet veterinarians have a wide selection of special prescription diets in stock to nutritionally manage a variety of medical conditions including obesity, skin and coat problems. So whether your pet is young or old Pet Vet can recommend the pet food that is right Katy Freeway Location Tests the VetScope We are currently testing an advanced diagnostic scope in one of our hospitals. Pet Vet plans to test this equipment for several months before adding it to all of our hospitals. The VetScope is an instrument that helps the doctor to closely examine the ears and teeth of your pet. With this device, our veterinarian can easily view the eardrum on a large monitor making a diagnosis easier and discomfort for your pet minimal. Additionally, complete dental records can be created for your pet with instant photographs from the VetScope for complete up-to-date medical records. Tono-Pen Test for Glaucoma Our hospitals are equipped with a hand-held precision instrument used to measure pressure within the eyes of your pet to test for glaucoma. The test is simple and can be done, in most cases, during a regular office visit. Glaucoma is a disease that causes increased pressure in the eye and can lead to blindness if not detected early. Ultrasound Technology Comes to Pet Vet We provide in-house ultrasounds on an as needed basis by a trained sonography technician. Ultrasound technology can help our doctors in diagnosis and treatment in a variety of areas - keeping your pet healthy. Training means taking the time to teach your pet to respect your leadership and to give him the guidance needed to meet your expectations for his behavior in the home. This involves communicating clearly through training. Training will not only turn your pet into a family companion and a pleasure to have around, but it also may save his life. Curtailing behavioral problems early keeps an owner from growing resentment that may eventually lead to giving up the pet to an uncertain or fatal future. Training can also make your pet respond to your commands in a life threatening situation such as running in front of a vehicle or eating something hazardous. A well trained pet can bring years of satisfying companionship. Ask the Staff at your Pet Vet Hospital for a recommendation regarding training.

I want to like this place. Mainly because I rescued a pup and the rescue group I am working with introduced me to them. I had an appointment to recheck if she was heartworm positive after their treatment. After I checked in, they didn’t say a word to me. I waited for 30 mins- patiently. Even when the unfriendly lady came out to get my pup, I had to ask her if she needed me to come with her or not. As she took her in, I asked if they could look at her ear bc she seems as though she may have an infection. Since she’s a rescue, it’s hard for me to get my hands on her ear without her freaking out. The lady at reception said hat they can’t because they’re completely booked. I told her I understand, but if they can just check really quickly, I can schedule an appt to bring her back in for it. She said no again, stating that she was here only for a heartworm appt. I brought my cat here a couple of weeks ago and had just booked an appt to recheck next week, before all this happeneed. The unfriendly lady brought her back, again, not saying another word. I waited for another 10 mins to be told that I’m good to go and that my results will be called over to the rescue group. Needless to say, I canceled my cats appt before I left. Never going to a place where they don’t give two sh*ts about my furbabies, bc they’re my kids. And smile a little, you rude people. Read Less

I took my 5 yr old car to get an abssces removed and did the surgery right away. The staff was friendly at first don't get me wrong. I took him home took care of him for his recovery. Went back a week later my mother dropped him off in the morning cause of course I have a job to be at. Well when I picked him up they done treatment without my consent and I paid the bill. They sent him home with more antibiotics and pain med. Mind you the cat has to be in the restroom and a cone on his head for this whole period of time. When he went back Friday to what I hoped be a good experience ended up being terrible. I asked if they could give me an estimate rate before hand to see if I can afford it also to inform me before giving treatment so i can approve I was ok with what they had in mind but they didn't even know what the plan was for him. We're they gonna remove the drain tube or not what was going on. No one had answer for me. I asked for my cats medical records so I can take him elsewhere for a second opinion . Brandy refused to give them to saying that I received them after paying for treatment I had no idea where I had left them. So I simply asked for copies she still said no I offered to pay for them she still said no. So my mom went ahead and picked him up and we will be taking somewhere else. It seemed to me they just wanted recurring visits. I couldn't afford going every week for what was like 100 to 300 a week. Then after I refused having him seen there they remove the drain tube with out any information on what to do next. Apparently his wound was healing fine according to them and he didn't need the tube in anymore sent him home wide open no explanation on how to treat him with his wound open like that. I have never had such a bad experience with a clinic like this. I don't recommend anyone going here. Read Less

This clinic does not care about your animal, your repeat business, or the quality of service they provide. I really did not want to write this review but, when I repeatadly tried to reach out to Dr. Pickle to discuss the treatment which my dog recieved in her clinic she did not respond to my calls, emails and also could not find time to speak with me when I tried to meet with her at the clinic. (When the event occured Dr Pickle was on vacation and another Doctor was standing in. ) I recently took my dog to her clinic to get shaved and to have his nails trimmed. (He is a German Shepherd and he gets hot spots every season unfortunately.) He has to be under anethesia in order to shave him so I asked that he also have his nails trimmed. However when I looked at his fet after picking him up I noticed they missed his front feet. When I called the clinic to speak with them they were rude and told me that there were three people plus a doctor in the room so they know that his nails were trimmed. They then told me they didn't want to cut them too short because they would bleed. His front nails were at least 1/4 of an inch from the quick and never touched. Three people spoke with me on the phone to confirm that the nails were in fact trimmed. (The nails were actually long and rounded at the end unlike the ones they actually trimmed.) I sent an email to the office with pictures of his nails to prove that they were never trimmed and asked in that email for Dr. Pickle to contact me. I also took the dog back to the office to show the staff that the nails were not done. The office manager would not even lean down to look at my dogs feet and argued that they could trim them more but they are already trimmed. I have tried to call the office 5 times and I have come in person so that I may speak with Dr. Pickle about the care my dog received and the treatment that I received. I have spent three weeks trying to contact Dr.Pickle. Either she doesn't receive the message or doesn't care about her clients because I have not received an answer to my email, calls nor could she find a moment to see me. I phone call only takes 5 minutes. This clinic has shown me that they do not care about my animal or me as a client. If 4 people in the same room watching the same task can not verify that the task is performed then their quality of service is extremely lacking. I have taken all of my animals here for several years and I am very disappointed in their recent actions. I will not be taking any of my dogs back to this clinic.Read Less

Amazing experience every time. I've read some of the other reviews and I get it.... just like any medical place that takes in emergency situations, their schedule can abruptly change.... So if you are waiting for fluffy to get her nails trimmed and a dog is brought in that was hit by a car, your fluffy might be hanging out a bit longer than expected. Their knowledgeable staff and courteous demeanor more than makes up for any delays I've ever experienced there.

Everyone there is a true animal lover and it shows in the personal touch and attention they give to my pets and others.Read Less

Dr. Pickle and Dr. Osborne and their staff have been the family pets caretakers for over a decade. The doctors and staff genuinely care and take the necessary time with each pet and I believe they actually "feel the pain" for the families. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing veterinarian care. Read Less
