I am very pleased with the process to spay our cat, and later when she developed respiratory symptoms, I was able to be worked in on a Saturday morning within 30 minutes of showing up without an appointment. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Evans is extremely professional. I would recommend them for your pets and large animals.

Worst experience at a vet. My foal was colicking so I called the vet, he came out to look at her (with a horrible attitude from the second he starting talking to me) and he told me yup she's colicking. He checked her heart rate, said a few words and then left. And I also got charged nearly $400 for that. Never using gardendale vet again.

I've been using Gardendale Veterinary Clinic for about 15 years. We have used them for both our dogs, cats and strays that we have found. Their professionalism is second to none. Their dedication to working with animals in serious conditions is phenomenal and their compassion when we have had to make those tough decisions have kept us returning. We know our babies are in the best hands when we take them in. We have never been part of an assembly line; they KNOW our animals. I don't live in Gardendale, but I choose to drive there because of the trust I have in Dr. Evans and his staff.

I would like to sincerely thank Dr Evans and his staff. About two weeks ago I took my 5 week old kittens to him as they were suffering from a URI (upper respiratory infection) as most kittens do, due to the mother having not been vaccinated he gave them antibiotics and eye drops. Five days later I had to go back because my little girl kitten was getting worse, not his fault, and Dr Evans was sincerely concerned about her health and her eye, he gave her another round of antibiotics and some eye medicine, along with antibiotics for me to administer at home. Happy to say both kittens are doing well and playing, the lil girl's eye is healing and doing very well. Thank you Dr Evans.

Worst experience ever at a vet clinic. $48 dollars for the new female vet to take her temp, weigh her and feel her belly. The did not look at the eyes like i asked when I made the appointment. I told them my collie is sluggish and has eye boogers. Get to the vet of course the girls at the front desk are new, its like a revolving door there. The vet technician!!! Really, I cant hold my own dog. The only vet I have been to where someone besides the Dr takes my dog and holds it. This time by the neck, I will hold my own dog thank you. Dr. Anna always let me do that. Not sure who this new vet is or if she is in training or what but she did not do anything but say we can do blood work, x-rays and asked about tick medicine. My dog has not had a tick in 3 years thank you. The "vet" didn't even look at her eyes, the technician was too busy holding my dogs throat. Rude as I have ever seen. So I call and I am put on hold for 15 minutes, so I hang up and call back. Finally Dr. Evans the male vet there calls me back, he keeps saying sorry sorry sorry, He did not care I could tell. I asked for a partial refund because I paid $48.00 dollars for her to do nothing with my dog. He said I will give you 20%. I said fine (what a joke). Then he hangs up on me. I had to call back and ask the girl to go ask her boss to give me my whole $9.60 back. I would not recommend this vet, I would recommend University Small Animal Clinic or Angel Vet. NOT GARDENDALE VET!!!!!!! I give this place NO Stars. Sorry to Dr. Anna because she is an awesome vet. Unfortunately she was not there today.

Dr. Evans and his staff are wonderful. Very welcoming and helpful and always gentle with my dogs. I have never had an issue with getting a same day appointment and when one of my dogs had to have surgery, the receptionist called me when my dog woke up (just as she said she would) and called again when I could come get her. Highly recommended!

I've been using Gardendale Veterinary Clinic for about 15 years. We have used them for both our dogs, cats and strays that we have found. Their professionalism is second to none. Their dedication to working with animals in serious conditions is phenomenal and their compassion when we have had to make those tough decisions have kept us returning. I would like to sincerely thank Dr Evans and his staff. About two weeks ago I took my 5 week old kittens to him as they were suffering from a URI (upper respiratory infection) as most kittens do, due to the mother having not been vaccinated he gave them antibiotics and eye drops. Five days later I had to go back because my little girl kitten was getting worse, not his fault, and Dr Evans was sincerely concerned about her health and her eye, he gave her another round of antibiotics and some eye medicine, along with antibiotics for me to administer at home. I have never had an issue with getting a same day appointment and when one of my dogs had to have surgery, the receptionist called me when my dog woke up (just as she said she would) and called again when I could come get her. Highly recommended!
