Dr Webster lacks compassion and integrity. This clinic has been on a downward trend for two years. We have been patients with our fur babies for 6 years. We have trusted this team to help support us in providing great care for our animals. Our Snickers was euthanized last month. This is not our first pet to pass over the Rainbow Bridge, this experience was traumatizing for our family. No blanket, no compassion, no sedative (they missed the vein), they stopped her heart while she was wide awake looking us in the eyes asking for help. We held our baby while she had a very dramatic heart attack. I wanted to warn others. There are vets who do this with compassion. This isn’t one of them. Rest In Peace Snickers. ❤️ Read Less

I absolutely adore Koy Animal Clinic - so much so that when I moved from Georgetown to Austin, they've continued to be the vet for my dog. Not only do they treat Scarlett as one of their own, they are always incredibly helpful. Now with the addition of a new puppy in the family, they are awesome at last minute emergencies (bacterial stomach funk is no fun for a 10 week old!) I'm so thankful for their love and service to these animals, and am so grateful I found out about them through Georgetown Animal Outreach. Looking forward to working with them for the rest of my "babies'" lives. Read Less

Back in 2011 I went to Koy to have my girl cat spayed, and kitten in 2015, by two different "vetrinarions". Spent almost $1,000 together. Both act as if I just payed a thousand dollars for a incision. The first only last year stop w tinkling around the house and pooping in any corner she can find. Since 2015 the younger cat has been behaving as if in estrus, the literal cat calls and physical behavoirs. Now in the last few days the younger has been tee tee-ing on my stuff. Worst yet a few days after the younger was spayed, she developed an infection in the incision made for the operation. I call and the gatekeeper, front desk said come the next day. When I showed up few min after the call she acted as if I was in the wrong. I ask them to do an x-ray to confirm the spaying was done correctly, they offer no evidence and say it's routine. No opration should be treated as a walk in the park. Went to any lawyer that'll give me the time day and of course texas lawyers want several thousands to not do their job. I'm either stuck with a cat destroying my house further or taking her to a pound because Koy is incapable of properly doing a routine surgery. Same facility. The new kittens in 2015 had ear mites. To check the first few times if they're gone I was charged around $20. The last time without consulting the did something that cost $80. One day noticed my dog was walking funny, ends up she injured her paw. I call ahead as their site says to in case of an emergency, show up a short time later and tell the gatekeeper my injured dog is here. Gatekeeper says hold on. I bring her in and show the gatekeeper the bloody paw, and she wants me to sit and wait. A dog for an annual check up was seen first, I left and went to another facilty to spend almost $1,000. Same dog had something on her leg, and went to see about it's removal. Ended up spending money for them to tell me to come back when it's worse. I do and took some doing for them to finally do it. This gatekeeper always makes us wait a minimum of 20 min after the appointment time, even when we're the only ones there. If I could, I'd by this facility to shut it down. I also call into question the safety of the building itself, cracks everywhere. As to why I keep going, rarely do I have time to go any where else. To conclude, what should have been a few hundred dollars to spay my cats, will now cost me 10's of times to repair my house due to Koy Animal Clinic gross incompetence. Read Less

I've had 3 dogs and have brought all 3of them to Dr. Webster. I love the staff and all of the vets. 2 years ago my lab/ vizsla mix collapsed on Valentine's day which was on a Sat. The office closes at noon. It was about 1130 am when this happened. I called the office and they told me to bring him in. They could have told me to take him to the emergency hospital but they didn't. When I arrived the staff that was there waited for me outside and helped carry him in. The vet that was there and one of the staff members stayed well beyond noon to work on him. Sadly he was too ill to save. They stayed there as long as I needed to say my goodbyes. This place is ridiculous with picking up a pet's meds a week earlier from when my pet's 2 month perception was about to run out. I still come to them and I moved an hour away and since my pet's 2 month perspiration was about to run out and I was heading in to Georgetown (hour and some change away from me) I thought I could pick them up and be done... but no, I got treated as an idiot and told its illegal for the vet to fill a prescription 7 days early (which is total bullish even for a human!) Dr. Davison was an empathetic and kind veterinarian when the decision had to be made to euthanize my 18 year old Chihuahua, my sweet little dog I've had all those years. No complaints there, but the staff is negligent, thoughtless, clueless, and incompetent. I arranged for my pet's remains to be cremated and was told to return the following Friday after 12 noon for his ashes only to discover his poor little body was still at the clinic and this became known only after I arrived believing I was to bring his ashes home. I'm still fuming that I was not informed a change occurred. Rather than leave my pet there I would have made different arrangements had I been informed. I loved this dog and to arrive believing I was taking his ashes home hurt even more. The insensitivity and sheer indifference is pathetic. I regret taking him here and I don't trust even that it will be his ashes returned to me after this miserable experience. Read Less

This is the best vet clinic you could ever take your animals to. I took my cat October to another vet to get fixed. Afterwards, she became sick. Their response was that they didn't know why she was sick and to give her fluids; they responded this way multiple times. I finally had enough and took her to Koy. Dr. Webster not only diagnosed her problem immediately but knew she had to go to a specialist; unfortunately she was too sick and ended up passing on. When I called the original vet, their response was, ok thanks for letting us know! When I called Koy, they were very sympathetic, even though they had only seen her one time! I knew after this I would trust only Koy. Even when I lived in Kyle, I would still make the drive to Georgetown to see them for my pets' needs, because they are that trustworthy. It's now 12 years later, and I still take my three cats and Great Dane to Koy. They are amazing and extremely knowledgeable. If you want to make sure your pets are in good hands, take them here. We've used Koy Animal Clinic for almost 28 years. Dr. Koy was great as are Drs. Hensley and Webster. I have a cat, "that almost died" as another reviewer said, twice. Dr. Webster saved his life the first time by removing a bladder obstruction. Dr. Hensley saved his life the second time because of a bowel obstruction. Its easy to say "cats throw up all the time". Yes, sometimes they do and sometimes its not simply constipation. How many vets do you know who will crawl into the cage with your very sick pet and cradle him/her in their arms and help nurse them back to health? As a kid, I worked for a vet throughout high school and while in college worked at the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine. I can tell you from those experiences that crawling into the cage with your sick pet to simply hold them is not routine yet that is exactly what Dr. Hensley did with our cat, Mr. Mason. The rest of the staff is first class as well.Read Less

Brought my cat in this morning for what I thought was a stomach bug of come kind. I was being helped by a new young doctor who took my cat to the "back" to draw blood and to give him a hydration treatment. A few minutes later the nurse returns to collects my carrier without explanation. Then the doctor returned and informed me that my cat had bit her so she was going to report it to the local animal control and that I could not have my cat back. When I went a little bonkers, another doctor came in and explained that this was fairly routine and that I would be able to take my cat home for a 10 day quarantine once the report was filed. But meanwhile they had to keep my cat until the report was filed. Three hours later I returned to pick my cat up and found out that the 10 day quarantine was to occur at the local ANIMAL SHELTER and I would not be able to see him, hold him, or touch him for 10 days. Stay away from these bozo's....they lie, they're clearly incompetent (as any vet that doesn't know about or prepare for animal bites in their line of work probably shouldn't be a vet imho.) After 20 years of putting my trust in them, I will never set foot on to their property again. Dr. Koy, a great vet who started the practice is long retired. User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by Bob E 02/13/2010 Koy Animal Clinic UNPROFESSIONAL and UNCARING For over 2 years Dr. Koy allowed the thyroid level on my dog to be less than one half the proper level WITHOUT any retesting. Although Dr. Koy tested the thyroid level on my dog in Aug, 2007 and found the level to be less than one half the proper level and prescribed medication to correct, I allege that Dr. Koy was either negligent and/or incompetent and/or uncaring because he did not perform any retest for over 2 years. Dr. Koy personally performed an annually checkup on my dog in March, 2008 and in March, 2009 and performed blood tests as part of both annual checkups, he neglected to retest my the thyroid level on my dog. Also, with a charge of $85.50 for the recommended blood work prior to some surgery Sept, 2009, Koy Animal Clinic still neglected to do any testing for thyroid level. Dr. Webster, informed me while removing staples on my dog following the Sept, 2009 surgery that the thyroid level on my dog tested at 1.3 in Aug, 2007 and that the level should be 3.0. I asked for a refill on the prescription and Dr Webster told me that he would have to check with Dr. Koy before providing a prescription and Dr. Webster left the exam room to check with Dr. Koy. Dr. Webster returned and informed me that the prescription would be brought to me in the reception area and to just go and wait there. After about 5 - 10 minutes someone came to inform me that they would have to retest my dog before writing the prescription (different from what Dr. Webster had just told me minutes before). I really don't like being LIED to. I became very upset that Dr. Koy had neglected to do any retest for over 2 years when he knew the thyroid level on my dog level was less than one half what it should be. I got a new vet!! Read Less

I have been taking my dog to Dr Koy's clinic for close to 10 years. The vet he normally saw is no longer there, so he saw Dr Pederson instead. Dr Pederson obviously didn't like me, and she made no effort to hide that fact. But what I found upsetting was the fact she took her dislike out on my dog. During a routine examination, she made my dog cry performing procedures that are not normally painful. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed that a professional veterinarian would be so cruel and callous as to hurt an animal, simply to ""send a message"" to it's owner. I have seen the procedures in question performed before. They have never made my dog cry before. But his regular vet had never been so rough and harsh before, either. My dog isn't a little wimpy thing, but he is a house pet, not farm livestock. He is friendly and well-behaved. There was no need for her roughness. Message received, Doctor. I won't be back. I just moved to Georgetown, and in getting recommendations from neighbors, Dr. Koy's name came up several times. I decided to take my two dogs there, and am glad I did. The office is easy to find, and they have good parking. There is a nice area to walk your pets before the exam, and the waiting room is clean and roomy so you don't have to sit with your pet too close to other animals. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the exam room was clean. I didn't have to wait long at all, which is a real blessing when you are trying to control two big dogs! Dr. Koy listened to my needs for my dogs and recommended a helpful medicine for heartworm and fleas, and they even gave me a discount on it. It was obvious to me that Dr. Koy and his staff love animals. Another time, I needed to get my dog in quickly, because I work days, and wouldn't have been able to bring him in for a week if I couldn't bring him in the day I called. The staff were very helpful in getting me an appointment the same day so my poor dog wouldn't have to deal with his problem for a week. Read Less

Read Less

Dr. Mason. Dr. Koy & Dr. Webster are awesome!!! I don't believe you can find better. Our family is very fortunate to have had our pet in there care...is the the only reason we still have our pet with us. ""Most"" of the tech are knowledgable, caring and can be quite pet wacky at times. The trade-off for outstanding care... A couple of tech's seam to be there for a paycheck. Front office...ouch! Mis-communication, errors, uncourtious often rude behavior and to say they were unknowledgale would be an understatement. When I go...I dread the time in front of the counter or even calling them...oncepast the counter in the treatment room, it's a different experience. If Dr. Koy could get a solid front ofice manager, the operation would be perfect. 10 stars for care, -1 Star for Front Office Experience...overall score 4 Stars. If it weren't for the care...We'd not have a living pet. Thanks you again for saving our pet...3 times, the front office nearly offed the pet with negligence once.

I never got a chance to visit this vet because when I tried to make an appointment, they said that my 11 week old puppy not being able to urinate was not serious enough for an emergency visit, and that I could wait 4 days until their next opening. I then called the Northwest Animal Clinic right down the street and got in immediately. Go there instead!! Read Less

I took my border collie to Koy Animal Clinic as she was having urinary tract issues causing licking, chewing and dragging. I saw three of their vets on three occasions. Each vet had something different to offer but no one helped my dog. I was left to wait over an hour the first two appointments and treated poorly by the front desk staff. Dr. Webster is a polite and knowedgable vet. He referred me to a specialist upon my last visit. The specialist has found a succesful treatent for my dog. I would recommend Dr. Webster if he worked with a different staff. Read Less

Read Less
