I just can't speak enough kindness about him and what he's done for my dogs. I'll never go anywhere else. Even if i moved HOURS away. I'd make the trip. There's no substitute for experience and he's got tons since the 80s

Dr James is a great Veterinarian. He have treat our dogs for year. Charlie, Copper, Rusty and Rocky. When Rocky got very sick we didn't know what to do. we took gim to Dr James and he started treating him with some meds and little by little he start showing some improvement. we talk to him everyday. and finally he told us to take him in to to give him an anti inflammatory shot and that help him a lot. he start walking better. gling to the bathroom by himself. he is great.

Dr James and his staff have been taking care of my pets for over 28 years. I have always been trated with the utmost professionalism and kindness. I have had two small dogs and one very large dog during that time period and each dog loved going to the vet. I had a work emergency that kept me away from home for 56 days. Dr James took my dog in for boarding and then took him home for the extended stay. He kept him as his own pet during that time and didn't charge me any extra. Dr James has made the hard decisions with our pets easier to understand and was extremely compassionate when we had to put a dog down. I would never consider another vet.

As with many, my fur baby is my heart and thanks to a friend's referral I went there to have my cat Oliver neutered and given all shots needed and they were absolutely amazing! The staff is very friendly and worked with me and my work schedule. Ollie felt good being there and wasn't scared at all. I will most definitely refer anyone I know needing vet services to them. My original post was about my visit and I was really impressed that not only did Katie contact me but she also read my review and took the feedback to heart. As a resident in this area, I make every effort to support small businesses in the neighborhood. When my little Teddy fell sick with dealing with fleas I wanted to get him treated right away. It was a Monday so I took him in during walk-in hours and the wait was a bit as the office was jam packed with dogs, cats, and their respective owners. Once we were called back, Teddy and I had to wait a bit but were seen by the doctor and Katie. Teddy was assessed quickly and we were about to move on with his treatment. To me, the only hiccups were the wait and one tech. Katie was very apologetic and listened about the whole situation and because of her I will keep Polo in mind for future treatments for Teddy.

I cannot give better accolades to Dr. Phil for the life of our dog who is now 16 years old and still our same old pup although we have gone through some times of worry with the help of the Doc. Not only Dr. Phil but his staff take a very genuine interest in your pet whether it be for a medical check up or just boarding while you go on vacation. Trust me, if I had a sick emu, this is the place I would take that ailing bird to. Dr. Phil is that kind of knowledgeable Vet. You can tell he has seen from cows to guinea pigs besides our cats and dogs. Very thankful we found him and this office staff a long time ago. If this review seems "glowing", it is well deserved and extremely well earned. Thanks to all at Polo Road Animal Hospital. Accept no less!

Dr. James & staff (past & present) are the most down to earth folks who don't make you feel like your even in a doctor/hospital atmosphere where alot of people feel uncomfortable! Any surgery I have ever had to put them through always was done with the understanding that I was going to be calling and checking on them, and the doctors and staff has always been fully understanding and respectful any time I called. "We're closed from 12 to 2. I looked at the time and it was 12:02. I had to go to 4 different clinics. Second one all doctors at lunch third the only doctor they had was in surgery for an hour and finally on the fourth try he has a temperature of 104 and a really hard time breathing. He is now on oxygen pending lab results. The only clinic in grand prairie is the grand prairie animal clinic. The rest of them are absolutely worthless with the exception of Carrier animal clinic they just need more doctors.

After several months of battling my dog's skin issues with another vet and spending several hundred dollars in the process, my sister recommended I try Dr. James. Dr. James and his team were able to get her skin completely healed in a month at a very reasonable price! At the last visit, instead of trying to sell me more products (i.e. drugs and vaccinations - a common move with my prior vet), Dr. James gave me some more natural remedies to try and manage her symptoms. In my 3 visits his staff has always been very friendly and I love that I don't need an appointment!

I have had two small dogs and one very large dog during that time period and each dog loved going to the vet. I had a work emergency that kept me away from home for 56 days. Dr James took my dog in for boarding and then took him home for the extended stay. He kept him as his own pet during that time and didn't charge me any extra. Dr James has made the hard decisions with our pets easier to understand and was extremely compassionate when we had to put a dog down. I would never consider another vet.

The staff is very friendly and worked with me and my work schedule. Ollie felt good being there and wasn't scared at all. I will most definitely refer anyone I know needing vet services to them. My original post was about my visit and I was really impressed that not only did Katie contact me but she also read my review and took the feedback to heart. As a resident in this area, I make every effort to support small businesses in the neighborhood. When my little Teddy fell sick with dealing with fleas I wanted to get him treated right away. It was a Monday so I took him in during walk-in hours and the wait was a bit as the office was jam packed with dogs, cats, and their respective owners. Once we were called back, Teddy and I had to wait a bit but were seen by the doctor and Katie. Teddy was assessed quickly and we were about to move on with his treatment. To me, the only hiccups were the wait and one tech. Katie was very apologetic and listened about the whole situation and because of her I will keep Polo in mind for future treatments for Teddy.

I cannot give better accolades to Dr. Phil for the life of our dog who is now 16 years old and still our same old pup although we have gone through some times of worry with the help of the Doc. Not only Dr. Phil but his staff take a very genuine interest in your pet whether it be for a medical check up or just boarding while you go on vacation. Trust me, if I had a sick emu, this is the place I would take that ailing bird to. Dr. Phil is that kind of knowledgeable Vet. You can tell he has seen from cows to guinea pigs besides our cats and dogs. Very thankful we found him and this office staff a long time ago. If this review seems "glowing", it is well deserved and extremely well earned. Thanks to all at Polo Road Animal Hospital. Accept no less!

I arrived at the clinic at the clinic at just after 12 and one woman was outside and another came out shortly afterwards I approached them with my dying cat in my arms and inquired if they were open. "We're closed from 12 to 2. I looked at the time and it was 12:02. I had to go to 4 different clinics. Second one all doctors at lunch third the only doctor they had was in surgery for an hour and finally on the fourth try he has a temperature of 104 and a really hard time breathing. He is now on oxygen pending lab results. The only clinic in grand prairie is the grand prairie animal clinic. The rest of them are absolutely worthless with the exception of Carrier animal clinic they just need more doctors.

After several months of battling my dog's skin issues with another vet and spending several hundred dollars in the process, my sister recommended I try Dr. James. Dr. James and his team were able to get her skin completely healed in a month at a very reasonable price! At the last visit, instead of trying to sell me more products (i.e. drugs and vaccinations - a common move with my prior vet), Dr. James gave me some more natural remedies to try and manage her symptoms. In my 3 visits his staff has always been very friendly and I love that I don't need an appointment!
