These people are horrible people they run the bill way up when its unnecessary. They pressed theft charges on me when I couldn't adults to pay their high rates. They charged me $500 for the visit including blood work when my dog had a flea in her ear . she was better after one treatment of overv the counter ear rinse. Went in on a same day apt. I've always had good visits here and was totally comfortable trusting the staff here again. Well it couldn't have worked out better. Had some slight technical difficulties when a power surge took some of their capabilities off line for a while, but everyone was as accommodating as could be and made sure my dog got the best care possible. He had a fairly serious issue but they understood what was needed even when systems failed them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone with pets. Even if you have to go out of your way! Horrible experience! I recently moved to the area and was looking for a vet close by. I made an appointment a week in advance to have my two small dogs vaccinated. I asked my previous vet to fax over the records which they did promptly. On the day of my appointment I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before being called back and told that they hadn't received the vet records. I called my previous vet again and again they sent the records. I let the vet tech and receptionist know that I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work and they said that they would keep an eye out for the fax/email of the records. The records came in about 5 minutes later and the receptionist said they would be right with me. I could hear the staff talking and helping others but still no one came in to give my dogs their vaccines. I finally gave up after being there an hour. There was a person before me, who when paying at the counter remarked that they were thankful to get "fit in without an appointment"..... I guess it was at my expense. I'm guessing it's hit and miss at this place so I would just make sure you allow two hours for an appointment that should take 15 minutes. Yes, I'm a little upset... in case you can't tell. From the moment I booked my first appointment for my noise anxious dog they have been awesome! The doctor got down on the floor with Harley and while giving her some loving asked tons of questions about her anxiety. We talked about several options and he was very concerned for her peace of mind but wanted to make sure we were doing the right thing for Harley. We found Family Pet Clinic of Grapevine online and took two of our cats in today for their "Walk in Wednesday" where they offer half price visits. The clinic was neat and clean, and we were greeted by a very friendly gal at the front desk. I'm sorry I can't remember her name! The vet tech (Whitney) was AMAZING! So friendly and knowledgeable about care and handling of cats! Dr. Wallace was friendly and gentle with our kitties, and performed a very thorough physical exam on both of our boys! We were VERY impressed! She explained their conditions and how to treat them in terms we could understand, and bottom line - we were not charged an arm and a leg for top notch veterinary care. We recently moved to Grapevine from Phoenix, where we've had our Vetrinarian for 10+ years. Our family includes 3 fur babies, they are such an important part of our lives! Consequently, I am super picky about our Vetrinarian. Our little 8 year-old female Shih Tzu suddenly developed an out of control itch. I tried the usual; oatmeal bath, flea treatment, coconut oil, etc. Nothing was helping! So, I did some research on the internet and found the Family Pet Clinic in Grapevine. I called and was able to get an appointment within 2 days, as I told them it was "not an emergency" when they asked. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. He called me by name and also knew my dog's name.  That gave me the impression they cared- I appreciated that. I waited about 5 minutes to be taken to an exam room. The Veterinary Assistant was also very friendly and gentle with my dog. He did a thorough intake. The process took about 10 minutes. A few moments later Dr. Scott came in, also very friendly and caring. He took his time with Gracie, petting and talking with her. He asked me about all of my concerns. Dr. Scott took his time examining her. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. He made a few suggestions about treatment and I agreed with all of them.  The Veterinary Assistant went over the cost of each product. As it turned out, our pup had an allergy. There were no expensive tests, etc. The treatments were extremely reasonable, cost wise. I was exceedingly pleased with the entire experience!I am happy to say we have found our new Vetrinarian! If you are looking for an honest, experienced and knowledgeable Vet, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Scott! His staff is wonderful too. The pricing is very reasonable. And based on my experience, Dr Scott will only do, and charge you for, what is absolutely necessary. I give Dr. Scott and his staff at Family Pet Clinic of Grapevine the very highest recommendation! 110% satisfied with my visit and the visit my husband had 6 months ago. Our two cats (sisters) are 11 months old, I brought both in after discovering swelling on ones lip and feeling like I better get professional feed back on the others weight (and have her on hand in case the swelling was in any way contagious). During both visits our concerns were completely met and the staff was there to listen, and help. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of service! I highly recommend! I love this clinic. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and quick. The doctor who saw my Yorkie helped us throughly and quickly. I loved them so much I brought my cat in 3 days later. Dr. King was gentle with my skittish feline and was understanding and patient as we tested her for everything (including blood draw). The price for all the services was reasonable and they gave me a printed estimate before providing services. Although I can't get everything we need for the cat today, they are happy to work with me to split up my visits and spread out the cost.Read Less

I've never written a review but had such a negative experience I felt obligated to share. I brought my sick chihuahua as a walk in at 4:45pm - the clinic closed at 6pm. He was very sick & I explained the situation to the receptionist who told me a vet was there and have a seat they'd be with us. Well the receptionist came back & said the vet would not see me! The vet was supposed to be off at 5 (never mind they're open until 6!) and refused to give us service. I was floored by this  utter disregard for an animal obviously in distress! DO NOT take your babies there, these people do not care!I would also like to add we were previous patients and in the system. How could a vet turn away a previous patient who is an elderly, 5lb. chihuahua who was vomiting and hadn't eaten all day! Not right & not somewhere I will go back. Read Less

Sadly I had to bring my dog in to be euthanized, because the cancer became to much for her. This was my first visit to this location because my vet was not available and honestly didn't seem to care. Caring, competent, far less expensive than my VCA vet ... I am so grateful I found this clinic ... I have 7 dogs so they are a lifesaver for me. In addition to their awesome price schedule, they are thorough and they care about their patients and owners. I am completely happy with everything related to my several visits to this Clinic. Staff is awesome. One of my rescue dogs is very fearful of vet care, and they tried to take blood from her but she panicked to the point of almost hyperventilating. The response from the vet: "No charge for her. We can recommend a medication that will calm her for her next visit if you wish, so that we can treat her without stressing out either her or you." This is a wonderful vet clinic with very caring and kind people. Dr. Ford is the BEST! I have taken two of my sick chickens to him (yes they are pets) and he is so calm and comforting and knowledgeable! I'm sure he is this way with all pets! If you have chickens, and you take yours to the vet like I do, then I highly recommend Dr. Ford. They do have another chicken vet, a lady, but I just haven't had a need when she was on staff. I am sure she is just as good. Fabulous group of people, even stayed late for me one night when I had an emergency and we had to put my chicken down, they were in no hurry to get me out the door.
