Called and politely asked if they had a sulfur shampoo for my baby puppy available for me to purchase, and got a rude response that they don't unless I want to come in and pay for the service.

Called and politely asked if they had a sulfur shampoo for my baby puppy available for me to purchase, and got a rude response that they don't unless I want to come in and pay for the service.
Called Arroyo Vet Clinic right after and got a very sweet, empathetic individual who apologized for the situation but that they don't have it available unless I come in for the service, and advised me of where I could find some.
Just shows who really cares about the wellbeing of animals and really irked me that a vet clinic would be so unwilling to help.

I am very pleased with the staff at Paws & Claws. They love our fur babies and provide care to them as if they were their own. I highly recommend this clinic. The Dr. Is very loving with my husky and finds the problem all the time. They give a courtesy call the next day to follow up on your fur babies recovery. I have all my babies being taken care of at Paws and Claws.

It's our second visit to the clinic and I do believe my pup, Otis, has found a home. The staff is warm, friendly, and they take the time to explain information. They are happy to answer any questions, and as a new pet mommy, I have lots. From reception to Dr. Downey, it is an A+ team. So worth the 45 minute drive to have my little one treated like family. ❤️

Brought my cat there cause she was vomiting several times, refused to eat all day.
Dr. Robert and the staffs there are very friendly and attentive. Gave my cat a shot, some medication and prescribed canned food to help with her digestive system as well as appetite.
My cat recovered pretty fast and that same evening, she was eating and drinking again. After resting for a day, she's now back to her normal self, jumping and running.
I'll definitely recommend Paws and Claws to any pet lovers for the affordable yet amazing care!

I just got my first puppy, after reviewing every Veterinary Clinic in the area (and asking a million questions to every pet owner I know) I decided to take my Chow Chow mix, Molly, to Paws & Claws. We have been to two appointments and I must say that Dr. Downey is great. You can see that she really cares about the well being of all her patients and everyone is soo kind. As a new pet owner she gave me to do's and not to do's to help me along and It was much more affordable then I had expected. This will definitely be Molly's permanent Vet.

I just got my first puppy, after reviewing every Veterinary Clinic in the area (and asking a million questions to every pet owner I know) I decided to take my Chow Chow mix, Molly, to Paws & Claws. We have been to two appointments and I must say that Dr. Downey is great. You can see that she really cares about the well being of all her patients and everyone is soo kind. As a new pet owner she gave me to do's and not to do's to help me along and It was much more affordable then I had expected. This will definitely be Molly's permanent Vet.

She diligently cared for his hepatic issues, anemia and ocular problems. If I had to refer someone to one of the most trusted veterinarians in the Rio Grande Valley, it would be Dr. Downey...hands down. She is an attribute to her profession!

We are new to the area and Dr. Downey is close by so we went there for our yearly check up and vaccinations. The staff is small but they were wonderfully welcoming, friendly, and caring. The Vet Tech did a great job handling our large breed dogs, even the the fussy Doberman princess. I thought Dr. Downey must have Veterinary Super Powers when she said our cat looked a little pale, given that he's white or she just wanted to sell me a $30 bottle of "cat vitamins". Turns out she does have Veterinary Super Powers and the $12 tube of gel vitamins is big enough to last the rest of the cats life. Best of all, his attitude has much improved after a week of vitamins. Makes my feel like a bad Mama for not noticing he wasn't feeling 100%. Great place. Highly recommend it. Also very reasonably priced.

My dog had skin lesions for years that no other vet was able to cure. Dr. Downey saw our dog for the first time for a routine visit and immediately spotted that our dog was hypothyroid. I was excited about the opening of a new vet clinic so I took my little doggie in for shots. When a gentleman (who I assume was a vet tech) came in to take my dogs rectal temperature he did NOT put gloves on, exposing himself to germs from animal feces. He removed the thermometer and even though there was sink in the room he did NOT wash his hands. When he walked out of the room of course he had to use the same unclean hands to turn the door handle that he used to take my dog's rectal temperature. Later when I left, he was the same person that rang me up and took my cash. I could only stand there and hope that maybe he had washed his hands. I would suggest a thorough training session for all employess on the spread of germs and proper sanitary proceedures when dealing with the public.

Whenever I take my dog to Petsmart he comes back really anxious & nervous-and looks horrible! When I picked him up from here he was so calm and happy and of course looked fabulous! They are so kind and caring and it let's me know they are in good hands!

Dr. Robert and the staffs there are very friendly and attentive. Gave my cat a shot, some medication and prescribed canned food to help with her digestive system as well as appetite.

Chris at Pretty Paws is very friendly and does an excellent job with my toy poodle. She offers lots of great services like teeth brushing and fragrant dips as well as skin treatments for my dog that has allergies. I wouldn't go anywhere else , and I have been to a lot of places!!!!

I was excited about the opening of a new vet clinic so I took my little doggie in for shots. When a gentleman (who I assume was a vet tech) came in to take my dogs rectal temperature he did NOT put gloves on, exposing himself to germs from animal feces. He removed the thermometer and even though there was sink in the room he did NOT wash his hands. When he walked out of the room of course he had to use the same unclean hands to turn the door handle that he used to take my dog's rectal temperature. Later when I left, he was the same person that rang me up and took my cash. I could only stand there and hope that maybe he had washed his hands. I would suggest a thorough training session for all employess on the spread of germs and proper sanitary proceedures when dealing with the public.

My poodle receives the best hair cuts at Pretty Paws. She loves going there and is never scared or nervous. I Highly recommend this salon for all your grooming needs!

I absolutely love this place! The prices are wonderful for the results you get! They are so wonderful and kind to all the dogs! Whenever I take my dog to Petsmart he comes back really anxious & nervou...

Whenever I take my dog to Petsmart he comes back really anxious & nervous-and looks horrible! When I picked him up from here he was so calm and happy and of course looked fabulous! They are so kind and caring and it let's me know they are in good hands!

Best haircut ever! My dog was very happy when I picked her up. I loved the pink heart stencil on her hip. No other groomer has ever offered that to me before. I am very impressed. Thankyou!!

Picked up my spaniel and he was so happy! Big difference from other groomers. He wasn't jittery or anxious. Oh and he was ready in 2 hours!!!!

They all looked very happy. Chris did a great job grooming my shiht-zu, he's never looked better. I highly recommend this place and will be going back soon.
