I had a very disappointing experience at Banfield recently We’re picking up a prescription. I kindly waited like everyone else did, very kindly, no problem all of us very patiently waiting. There were probably seven people waiting in line it was just a busy time of day and I didn’t realize that I would’ve gone and another time. There was only one girl working the phones and register and she was just really busy and stressed out which I understand considering how busy they were. When it came close to my turn I mentioned to her that I was there to pick up a prescription, for some reason she took that as me having an attitude and she went on and on about “I’m all by myself blah blah some people are rude blah blah blah” “This lady has an appt she’s next” No problem, that sounds perfectly fair to me. She checks the ladies dog in and the phone rings, she takes the phone call and proceeds to get the life history of the dog of the woman who’s calling and left me standing there for about seven minutes. By this time I was not happy, and she did it on purpose because she thought I was being pushy which I wasn’t. I wish I did not have a contract with Banfield, I don’t like going there, it’s very depressing, the lighting everything about the place there’s nothing welcoming about it. The staff are for the most part very nice, but they always have just one person at the front and they need two. The phone was ringing off the wall while we all waited. Read Less

It might be one of those days that nothing would work out great. I just would like to share my recent experience with Banfield. I have been with banfield for 3 years now. I have 2 dogs and recently they both had 6 babies. we keep one so now we have 3 dogs. I took the parents in yesterday to get their regular check up. I got them in at 9 am as of scheduled I made 3 weeks ago. All of us were greeted with a warm smile and welcome as usual. they took them in and i left to work. I picked them up on the way back home at 4 pm. one of my dogs came out with poop all over her 4 feet and its really smelly. Another one came out was ok. 2 labs in leashed were nervous and excited with ppl walking passed by. It s hard to keep them calm at that moment. I told the nurse who brought out my dogs that one of dog had poop all over the feet. She pointed to the Oops area and told me I can get the paper to clean it up. For two seconds I was blank. I really just wanna get this over, then paid the medication bill and left, so I just do what was told. I tried to use the paper at the oops station and then realized right away that the dry paper would not do anything because the poop was dried and stuck in the nails, paws and hairs so I asked the same nurse if she had any wet wipes. She walked out and handed me 2 pieces of wet napkins. my dogs were in leashed and both were hold in one of my hand while another hand trying to clean off feet. They were still nervous and tried to move around. I was so frustrating with the situation. I asked for more wipes because just 2 pcs were not enough. I was handed another two pcs. for some reason, I was getting upset because my situation was a little bit out of control due to the nervousness that my dogs had. I stood up from cleaning and asked both ladies, the nurse and the receptionist, that how were they suppose to release with poop like this. One of them responded that it was not their job. I was so upset and angry even more but I decided to take care for poop issue, paid my bill, left , and call back in the next day. It took me about 15 mins to finish cleaning. my dog was still cover with the smell by the time we got home. imagine that how would it be to drive home with your dogs with poop in her feet. I had to get my clear clean. Danielle, the manager of banfield, called my partner this morning to follow up with our puppies. Danielle is very nice and she is the reason why we are with Banfield. She always calls us the next day to follow up with our puppies. I would give a 5 stars review about Danielle. but today its not about her at all, it is about how my dog was release and everything that I experienced at the clinic. I hope they will do something about this and not let something like this happened to any puppies again. Read Less

BEWARE OF THEIR PET WELLNESS PAYMENT PLANS! Good on-site staff - this review does not reflect my opinions of them. Just beware of the auto-pay for wellness plans! I have been taking my dog to this location of Banfield for 7 years. It was affordable and was a good option for regular vaccinations. If this review was just for the vet itself, I'd probably give it 3 stars. Slow wait times periodically, but honestly the staff was very courteous and the vets were helpful and I appreciate them all. I've been setup on regular payments with the wellness plan for the past 7 years and the monthly fee has always been auto-debited from my account. A few months ago I received a call from Banfield requesting an updated credit card number. I was walking into an important meeting so I asked them to call me back and I'd give it to them because I definitely wanted to continue my plan. I never heard from them again and to be honest - it slipped my mind. I just found out today that they sent me to collections and added a large fine! I never even received so much as a second phone call. You'd think that after 7 years of regular payments and trusting them with my pup they would at least give me a phone call before sending the account to collections. I work in customer service, so this completely baffles me.Read Less

I had a great experience at this location. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the vet was also friendly and knowledgeable. I made a 3:30 appointment and I was seen right away. I didn't like the room they put me in since it smelled weird and the staff said no problem and moved me to another room that hadn't been used that day. I did notice that there were a lot of staff in training so maybe the rude staff left. Office visit runs $40 and with all the treatment I had to have on my pet, my bill was high. However, my pet was just diagnosed with chronic kidney disease so a lot of treatment was necessary and hence, an unfortunately high bill. I signed up for their wellness plan which helped cut the costs down a lot. Either way, I was happy with the treatment I received here and I never felt pressured or coerced into buying extra treatments or diagnostic tests. The vet freely told me what she recommended and I made decisions from there. Great service Banfield, keep up the good work!Read Less

Not Recommended!!!!.. I've taken my pet here twice. The first time I made an appointment and was able to attend my pets check up and the vet went over my pets health with me step by step. She pointed out that his teeth were bad, but said it was typical for a 14 year old animal. She was nice, and I had a pleasant experience. The second time I went, I had an awful experience. I made the appointment, and the only option available to me was drop off. Weird. I did not want to drop off my pet for 5+ hours... Later when seeing the sky high bill I realized they probably only do drop off because they get to charge you a pet waste disposal fee and whatever other treatments they did without your consent. I brought my pet in to have his rabies vaccine and only his rabies vaccine. I walked out spending about $100 (with a 50% off coupon.) When I left the pet, they told me it would cost $80 (with extra vaccines.) Later they called me and told me it would cost $140, when I opted out of couple of extra procedures they wanted to do they told me $102. I call back because that still seemed too high, they told me $114. I asked why the price went up since I called, and the lady said she didn't completly add it together the first time... So I opt out of the extra vaccines because they were not necessary to begin with and brought the price down to $100. I'm not sure how I still ended up more than the original estimate, but that was as low as I could get at that point. When I arrived to pick up my pet, the lady at the front explained to me that my pet was unhealthy and I needed to come in for a follow up in 2 weeks, and that the follow up would start at $40. When I expressed my unease about the cost, she told me I should have my pet adopted by someone who can take care of him financially. Times are tough right now, and I am struggling to feed myself. I was in tears after that. What a bitch. I am currently looking for a new vet. Read Less

Read Less
