Dr Grana was recommended to me by another Bird enthusiast. I couldn't have been more pleased with my visit. She was excited to see my Bird and was as professional and made me very comfortable to have her handling my pet. Where many vets will overcharge for simple check ups, her exotic examination price was beyond reasonable. The counter staff were fantastic also. After talking on the phone and walking in the door they knew who I was already and made the whole experience just a dream. 10/10 would return and would reccomend!

Dr. Matt is excellent. He took almost two hours to address each of our concerns about our dogs tight rope procedure. We went thru the surgery with no problems and no complications post surgery thus far. During recovery we have been able to ask any questions we have and always get a prompt response. The office staff is very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for care for their pet.

Took my cat here on an emergency visit sometime late November of 2017 when i noticed he was having problems urinating. i called before i went and they accepted my visit the same day in a few minutes with no problem. The wait wasn't long. My cat was tested and treated for his urinary infection at a reasonable price. No unnecessary treatment or procedure was even advised or pushed on me. Dr. Wheeler and his staff were courteous and professional. Dr. Wheeler even called me everyday to check up on my cat. After prescribing special food for my cat's problem he is now back to normal! i recommend this facility if you want an honest and caring service.

The doctors and staff at Beechnut Animal Hospital are excellent! I'm always greeted warmly. The front desk always lets me know if there is an emergency and there is an unexpected delay. Equally important, when my pet has been the emergency, I've walked in the front door and was escorted directly into an exam room with staff waiting. The care by the doctors is continually superior with thorough explanations of the animal's problem and options for treatment. At no time is there any treatment rendered without addressing the owner's financial concerns. You could not find a better hospital to help you take care of your furry family.

I absolutely love these guys. I've been coming here for years, and that's because of the amazing customer service, but most importantly because of how well they take care of my babies. When I say we have a zoo of pets, I'm not exaggerating. People have literally said that to us multiple times when we have guests over. Anyway, whenever we come in, we are usually recognized and greeted right away, and they remember our pets too. The front office staff is very friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about the pets well being. The office always seems clean too which I can imagine is hard to do with animals coming in and out all the time, and anytime my pets have had any accidents, they treat it like such a normal thing and make sure you don't feel bad at all. The Dr.s are also top notch. Our pets are always comfortable (as much as they can be once they know they're at the vet) around them, and once the Dr actually spends time with them, the pets ease up. This place is great!

We are switching to this clinic after seeing the difference in demeanor, sense of urgency, and overall customer service compared to our now-former veterinary clinic nearer to my home.
My cat had been turned away from our regular vet without even a a cursory look or suggestion of where to go since they "didn't have any more appointments," (and only one person in the waiting area besides me). So I found Beechnut Animal Hospital on Google while in the that other vet's parking lot.
Upon arriving at Beechnut Animal Hospital, I apologized to the receptionists for not having an appointment, but I had a cat with an injured eye and needed to know how serious it was. The clinic was busy with patients being dropped off and picked up, but even with all of this commotion, the receptionist didn't hesitate in telling me they could take a look at the cat. Then she emphasized they could take a look AND treat the cat even though I didn't have an appointment.
In minutes, I was in an exam room with the cat and LeeAnn (such a genuinely gentle person). The cat was treated by Dr. Carmen (awesome young vet!), given meds, and I made a follow-up appointment for the cat. The entire visit was no more than 30 minutes. Not once did I feel that the staff was rushing things--they were just that efficient.
I was not only impressed with their willingness to help a new customer without an appointment, but also with their friendliness, preparedness (they had a full staff running rather than a weekend skeleton crew), and their rates for services were very reasonable. Nothing like my old vet.
My only criticism is that the music is a bit loud for a waiting area and reception desk, but I can deal with that. :)

I absolutely love this place! I read some of the one star reviews because I was shocked to see them! It has always been my experience that the lobby and exam rooms were clean. The Doctors are great. My favorite is Dr. Grana but really you can't go wrong with any of them. The costs at the clinic are very reasonable. This coming from a person with three dogs and one recently needed extensive surgery and wound care. The front staff and the vet techs are so nice and try to squeeze you in when they can.

Very professional vets. Extremely friendly 'front of house' staff. Very conscientious that not everyone can drop unlimited amounts of money on their pets. Bring your dog here if she's torn her ACL.
We brought our dog here a year ago after our first vet gave us very bad advise about her torn ACL. We looked through the scholarly literature about repairing ACL and chose a procedure that Dr. Matt is a well known expert in doing. He took a lot of time with us, walked through all the literature again, and even determined that our dog could have a similar, but slightly less costly procedure. In the end everything worked out great and we couldnt be happier with the result.
Subsequent visits and follow ups have always been handled professionally. Another thing i really appreciate is that the vets are very price conscientious and there's been a number of times he's found a less expensive alternative treatment/medication for my dog. And always lets me know how much it'll cost for everything before he moves forward.
I Strongly recommend this practice.

This place stinks, from waiting room to examining room. If it's not close to my house, I'd rather go to VCA in Sugar Land. I can't disagree with other reviewers, the veterinarians are knowledgeable. But I haven't found one who isn't. It's very different from medical doctors treating human. One time, my cat had a red stop above its eyebrow. The doctor believed it was a fungal infection. The scratch normally heals itself. It costed over $300 for office visit, lab work and prescription to find out just a natural occurrence. What made me upset was the front counter staff turned me away. One time, I called to ask her to wait for me as I was running late. I made a kennel reservation before my trip to California. I called 5 minutes before closing. She said, "doctors are gone, come back tomorrow, " and she hung up. Grrrr... I was so pissed off. I had to pay my roommate to watch my Siamese cat, the hyper and vocal kind. I still come here often because I can tolerate the service just like eating at McDonald's in Houston - you get ups and downs. Overall, my cat says, "meow, I don't care what you human think. Give me a high five." Yeah, whatever.

Maybe, some people might have cheated them off before, so now they are more cautious to other customers. I'm not sure what it is, but money is a huge issue.

Great place cured my dog of heart worms. Now she is the running dog I have always wanted. No frills just great pet care. I love the staff! Ask for Anna McMurrey she is my personal favorite. However, you can't go wrong because all of the Vets are 1st Rate... Also, they are very reasonable compared to some clinics that will remain nameless. I drive a little further but it is well worth the extra change in gas.

Took my cat here on an emergency visit sometime late November of 2017 when i noticed he was having problems urinating. i called before i went and they accepted my visit the same day in a few minutes with no problem. The wait wasn't long. My cat was tested and treated for his urinary infection at a reasonable price. No unnecessary treatment or procedure was even advised or pushed on me. Dr. Wheeler and his staff were courteous and professional. Dr. Wheeler even called me everyday to check up on my cat. After prescribing special food for my cat's problem he is now back to normal! i recommend this facility if you want an honest and caring service.

The doctors and staff at Beechnut Animal Hospital are excellent! I'm always greeted warmly. The front desk always lets me know if there is an emergency and there is an unexpected delay. Equally important, when my pet has been the emergency, I've walked in the front door and was escorted directly into an exam room with staff waiting. The care by the doctors is continually superior with thorough explanations of the animal's problem and options for treatment. At no time is there any treatment rendered without addressing the owner's financial concerns. You could not find a better hospital to help you take care of your furry family.

I absolutely love these guys. I've been coming here for years, and that's because of the amazing customer service, but most importantly because of how well they take care of my babies. When I say we have a zoo of pets, I'm not exaggerating. People have literally said that to us multiple times when we have guests over. Anyway, whenever we come in, we are usually recognized and greeted right away, and they remember our pets too. The front office staff is very friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about the pets well being. The office always seems clean too which I can imagine is hard to do with animals coming in and out all the time, and anytime my pets have had any accidents, they treat it like such a normal thing and make sure you don't feel bad at all. The Dr.s are also top notch. Our pets are always comfortable (as much as they can be once they know they're at the vet) around them, and once the Dr actually spends time with them, the pets ease up. This place is great!

We are switching to this clinic after seeing the difference in demeanor, sense of urgency, and overall customer service compared to our now-former veterinary clinic nearer to my home.
My cat had been turned away from our regular vet without even a a cursory look or suggestion of where to go since they "didn't have any more appointments," (and only one person in the waiting area besides me). So I found Beechnut Animal Hospital on Google while in the that other vet's parking lot.
Upon arriving at Beechnut Animal Hospital, I apologized to the receptionists for not having an appointment, but I had a cat with an injured eye and needed to know how serious it was. The clinic was busy with patients being dropped off and picked up, but even with all of this commotion, the receptionist didn't hesitate in telling me they could take a look at the cat. Then she emphasized they could take a look AND treat the cat even though I didn't have an appointment.
In minutes, I was in an exam room with the cat and LeeAnn (such a genuinely gentle person). The cat was treated by Dr. Carmen (awesome young vet!), given meds, and I made a follow-up appointment for the cat. The entire visit was no more than 30 minutes. Not once did I feel that the staff was rushing things--they were just that efficient.
I was not only impressed with their willingness to help a new customer without an appointment, but also with their friendliness, preparedness (they had a full staff running rather than a weekend skeleton crew), and their rates for services were very reasonable. Nothing like my old vet.
My only criticism is that the music is a bit loud for a waiting area and reception desk, but I can deal with that. :)

I absolutely love this place! I read some of the one star reviews because I was shocked to see them! It has always been my experience that the lobby and exam rooms were clean. The Doctors are great. My favorite is Dr. Grana but really you can't go wrong with any of them. The costs at the clinic are very reasonable. This coming from a person with three dogs and one recently needed extensive surgery and wound care. The front staff and the vet techs are so nice and try to squeeze you in when they can.

Very professional vets. Extremely friendly 'front of house' staff. Very conscientious that not everyone can drop unlimited amounts of money on their pets. Bring your dog here if she's torn her ACL.
We brought our dog here a year ago after our first vet gave us very bad advise about her torn ACL. We looked through the scholarly literature about repairing ACL and chose a procedure that Dr. Matt is a well known expert in doing. He took a lot of time with us, walked through all the literature again, and even determined that our dog could have a similar, but slightly less costly procedure. In the end everything worked out great and we couldnt be happier with the result.
Subsequent visits and follow ups have always been handled professionally. Another thing i really appreciate is that the vets are very price conscientious and there's been a number of times he's found a less expensive alternative treatment/medication for my dog. And always lets me know how much it'll cost for everything before he moves forward.
I Strongly recommend this practice.

This place stinks, from waiting room to examining room. If it's not close to my house, I'd rather go to VCA in Sugar Land. I can't disagree with other reviewers, the veterinarians are knowledgeable. But I haven't found one who isn't. It's very different from medical doctors treating human. One time, my cat had a red stop above its eyebrow. The doctor believed it was a fungal infection. The scratch normally heals itself. It costed over $300 for office visit, lab work and prescription to find out just a natural occurrence. What made me upset was the front counter staff turned me away. One time, I called to ask her to wait for me as I was running late. I made a kennel reservation before my trip to California. I called 5 minutes before closing. She said, "doctors are gone, come back tomorrow, " and she hung up. Grrrr... I was so pissed off. I had to pay my roommate to watch my Siamese cat, the hyper and vocal kind. I still come here often because I can tolerate the service just like eating at McDonald's in Houston - you get ups and downs. Overall, my cat says, "meow, I don't care what you human think. Give me a high five." Yeah, whatever.

The care is absolutely fantastic. No doubt about that. From the staffs to the doctors, they all care for your pet(s) as if they were their own. My only problem was that finance was a major problem. Maybe, some people might have cheated them off before, so now they are more cautious to other customers. I'm not sure what it is, but money is a huge issue.

Great place cured my dog of heart worms. Now she is the running dog I have always wanted. No frills just great pet care. I love the staff! Ask for Anna McMurrey she is my personal favorite. However, you can't go wrong because all of the Vets are 1st Rate... Also, they are very reasonable compared to some clinics that will remain nameless. I drive a little further but it is well worth the extra change in gas.
