Welcome to Braescroft Animal Clinic, located in southwest Houston. At Braescroft Animal Clinic we believe that while you make your pets happy, together we can keep them healthy. We are a small animal and exotics clinic, offering exams by appointment for both well and sick patients, surgery, and dental health care. Special needs such as drop-offs can be accommodated when necessary. Drs. Lisa Lowenstein and Stephen Chmaitelli, along with their experienced staff believe in the family doctor philosophy, and enjoy getting to know our clients and patients as individuals and friends. Client education is a major emphasis, because we know that an informed client is a better partner in their pet's health care. Our goal is to help our patients grow and mature from puppies and kittens into adults and finally seniors while keeping them healthy and happy. While we can diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, our doctors understand that there are times when our patients are best served by referring to one of our areas specialists or our emergency clinic. Took a kitten that I found outside with a huge gash by the belly. It was near closing time, and Braescroft were able to take us in. Doctor said it was a 30 min surgery and that the kitten should be able to go back to its mom outdoors. I was very happy to spend my money here at such late hours, the same day that I called.

Dr. Lowenstein and her staff are an amazing team. They are all so friendly and caring and compassionate. Dr. Lowenstein treats each animal, in our case 2 dogs, like they are hers. We've received a lot of great advice from her on subjects from anxiety to weight loss for the 2 dogs.
Her staff is always right on top of everything, it's almost like they can read your mind before you even call.

When I moved to Houston over 5 years ago, the first vet I tried was Braescroft Animal Clinic because they were located very close. I was very impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. I have a cocker spaniel, now almost 13 years old, and two cats, one is 11 1/2 and the other around 8 years who was recently given to me by my daughter. Dr. Lowenstein pays attention to not just the physical aspects of their health but the psychological as well. The office staff is friendly and helpful.
I am very satisfied with their services.

I just can not say enough about this place! I happened upon them by chance. My dog was in a pretty bad situation and had to have energancy care at a animal hospital. The next day she needed to be observed by a vet for the day before I could take her home. Our regular vet could not provide the care she needed so I set to google. This place had great reviews andagreed to take Carrie for the day. I felt completely comfortable leaving her there. The vet listened to all of my concerns and even educated me more about carries situation. When I picked her up she made sure I had everything I needed to make Carrie's home care easier. She really took her time explaining what to watch out for and what to expect. The next morning she called me to check on Carrie. When I was worried and needed to get her back in we were taken right back. This place is awesome. From the receptionist to the technicians to thd vet. I will continue to bring Carrie here!

I've been taking my dogs to Braescroft Animal Clinic for years. I appreciate the fact that my dogs enjoy going to the office I also appreciate the fact that Dr. Lowenstein uses an office visit to educate about pet care and how to keep my dogs healthy. The staff are warm and welcoming and seem to enjoy their jobs and the dogs aren't afraid of them.
I highly recommend Braescroft Animal Clinic.

For the last ten years, they have helped us care for our dearly loved rescue sheltie. The facility is always clean and well equipped. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and competent. Dr. Lisa Lowenstein is always aware of new developments, best practices, and treatment standards. She is an excellent diagnostician and a competent surgeon. She is passionate about good nutrition and is a true expert. (My background as a medical librarian as well as an informed pet owner enables me to be an accurate judge of her expertise.) We have had several animals cared for at this clinic. The staff treat us just like family. I love the medical summary I receive at checkout (wish MY medical record looked like this!) Dr Lowenstein is so compassionate. When my daughters beloved (but curmudgeonly) cat died, the staff grieved too!!!! Highly recommend.

I have know Doctor Golden - Lowenstein since she received her Veterinary degree. She is a great doctor and explains each treatment in detail. She is very cost conscious and compassionate - especially in the times we need it the most such as in the end-of-life decisions. I greatly recommend the BAC as a great caregiver clinic for your pet.

We have been using Braescroft Animal Clinic for a couple of decades; first for our house rabbits and then for a couple of cats that insisted on adopting us. For the last ten years, they have helped us care for our dearly loved rescue sheltie. The facility is always clean and well equipped. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and competent. Dr. Lisa Lowenstein is always aware of new developments, best practices, and treatment standards. She is an excellent diagnostician and a competent surgeon. She is passionate about good nutrition and is a true expert. (My background as a medical librarian as well as an informed pet owner enables me to be an accurate judge of her expertise.) Dr. Lowenstein takes the time to communicate clearly with her clients. Our Miss Mandy Whitepaws enjoys her visits as do we. The convenient Meyerland/Westbury location is also a plus. K Cummings Pipes

This vet was recommended to our family. He is a good vet and deals well with our cat. The place is clean and does not have that animal odor. The staff is friendly and attentive. Have not had any problems which I can not say for several other vets that I have tried.
