A couple of weeks ago I had to make a very sad, hard, painful decision to put my cat "Tiki" to sleep. Dr. Jacob and his staff were VERY COMPASSIONATE, SYMPATHETIC, EMPATHETIC AND ALL AROUND JUST DOWN RIGHT NICE AND THERE FOR ME IN MY TIME OF SORROW. Tiki left behind a brother and a sister who every now and then make noises and look for him. Dr. Jacob and his staff gave the proper amount of time for me to be with Tiki all the way up until he took his last breath. The process was explained to me in great detail...but I also want to say that THE OPTION OF EUTHANASIA WAS THE VERY LAST OPTION. IT WASN'T THE FIRST CHOICE. I thank Dr. Jacob and his staff from the bottom of my heart and I will never forget what you guys did for me. Also Dr. Jacob gave me the suggestion to have him cremated so ill always have him around...Tiki is gone but his spirit lives on through his brother and sister.....He bought joy to so many people...IT WAS HE WHO FOUND ME. I moved and had to find a new vet for my dog. This place is very close by and they were able to see me immediately when I called asking for an appointment for my dog's vomiting. The vet is very proactive and made sure to send me home with the correct medicine in case there was an underlying issue, and both the vet and the staff re-iterated instructions on aftercare and stressed calling them if anything were to happen. I'm glad out of all the vets in Houston, this is the vet that is closest to me because it's been the best experience I've had so far. Read Less

My GSD's nail was cut way too short and would not stop bleeding. I called and asked to be seen as it was an emergency situation and they took me in right away. This was my very first time at this clinic. I had an injured dog and had a major panic attack but the nurse and the doctor were beyond AMAZING. My dog is very protective of me and it's always a headache when I take him to his vet (HHS Animal Clinic), but he didn't even growl at the staff. The doctor was so gentle with him. Not only were they able to accommodate us so close to closing time (I went at 5:25, they close at 6) they treated him at no cost. I haven't had a dog in over 5 years. When my kids wanted a puppy we went to adopt one. My puppy was a rescue so it had a lot of problems from fleas to worms. We went to one of the big animal hospitals(won't mention the name) but they didn't have any opening for a week. I called Cambridge animal clinic and was able to get an appointment for the same day. We were greeted by a lady that was very nice. Dr. Jacob made sure I was informed in all the issues that may arise when adopting a shelter puppy. We got a lot of medication the first time. I had to return because my puppy started to poop worms. Went back because the puppy had an upper respiratory infection and got more medication. Today I got a call from the staff asking about how the puppy was doing. This is a neighborhood clinic that treats their customers with respect but most importantly they care about your pets. Dr. Jacobs is great. He always finishes his visits with "calls us if anything happens". Great place. Read Less

Since we've been in Houston (from NY), Cambridge has saved the lives of two of our dogs (all rescues). We rely on them and even though we now live in Pearland, when a need arises, we go to Cambridge. Excellent care and service! Staff is wonderful too. Read Less

They miss treated my dog when I left her there so they can groom her , I came back to pick her up and she was scared out her mind and she is a very friendly playful dog who gets along with everyone . She was scared and she just wanted to run out the door . Do not take ur dogs here if u don't want them to mistreat the pets . Read Less

My dog is a rescue and is anxious with new people, so finding a vet has been a challenge. She will growl, snap and most clinics require a muzzle anytime she has been treated. In the past, other clinics treat her like a vicious problem child, even though she is really a gentle dog, just very anxious. Dr. Jacob and his staff have taken amazing care of my Izzy girl! They are patient, talk to her calmly and are very gentle with her. Izzy doesn't growl at them, and it's obvious she is comfortable there. Not only are they great with my anxious pup, they don't take advantage of their patients. Their charges are very reasonable! Dr. Jacob always takes the time to call me directly and explain everything I need to know about Izzy's treatment. If I think of something later and call back, he still takes the time to personally address my concerns. I'm especially grateful for them always working her in on the schedule when a last minute injury or illness pops up. I trust him 100% and am so thankful to have him as my fur baby's doc! I brought my lab in because he had a bad cough.  Turned out he had heart worms.  We were seen by Dr. Wagner.  She was terrible.  My young son was with me and to illustrate how heart worms attack the heart she took a jar with a heart that was surrounded by heart worms and put it on the examining table.  My son burst into tears.  She went on to tell us that our dog would die unless we paid $750 for the treatment.  I told her that I would get the treatment and she repeated that the treatment was $750.  As if I didn't hear her the first time. So checking out I was told that the lead vet would call me on Monday morning (we went in on a Saturday).  He didn't call until Wednesday and then apologized for not calling Monday, said he was busy.  I said I was too, getting by dog seen and treated at another vet who showed compassion in helping us treat our dog.  I hate this vet and will never return.  He was basically calling to see if I was coming to pay the $750 to get the heart worm treatment.
