This clinic has the best staff, i love it here, they are so kind and loving to all animals who walk through the doors. I had went to the one of long drive, and those people were so snooty and basically their face dragged on the floor, like they were not willing to help in answering any questions one might have. Took my dog to get checked for worms. The tests weren’t as expensive as I thought they would be and the medicine for her tapeworms were affordable as well. Female vet so I was very happy about that. Everyone was very nice and I was able to buy some flea medicine while I was there too. Read Less

Their doctors and staff are really good with my pets and the services are affordable and well within my budget. Nice to know i can take care of my pets without it costing me an arm and a leg! The only thing that i would say is that Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest so the wait can be long of you don't go first thing in the morning. But I will say the service is quick once you get back to be seen so the wait in my mind is well worth the service provided. 😊 Read Less

Definitely would recommend taking your pet here! My dog has seen at least two of the vets and one relief doctor. They have all been very friendly and truly cared about my dog. They didn't rush through the exam and answered all of my questions. Plus all of the prices are pretty reasonable. Most of the staff are also very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to give him a nail trim whenever he comes in. They only take walk-ins so no appointment times available. I've gone and it's usually a long wait but that really depends on what time you go. Read Less

I really appreciate what Dr.Dees did to me and my cat. I brought my cat to Dr.Dees and I saw that she had done everything best to save Bo's life. Although my cat did make it because it was too late but I still love dr.Dees and all the staff for their wonderful specialist knowledge and also fanstatic customer service. I've been taking my dogs and cats here for years! The front desk women are wonderful and polite. I called several times wanting to get a price point for some vaccinations for my pets and they were kind enough to always give me a reasonable price. The wait can be long if you decide to come late but I learned to come about an hour after they opened and it only takes about an hour or less to get called. My older dog tends to pee and they are always kind enough to mop it. One thing that does bother me, the vet assistants and vets themselves tend to over emphasize my dog's smell hahaha! My dog's are outside dogs with a huge yard so they tend to stick like well dogs and the workers somehow always make it a point to tell me more than 5 times that they stink. Read Less

Convenient hours!-Follows up with customer just to check on the pets. -Appointment/treatment reminders in the mail.-I even got a free gift bag for my dogs at my last visit.Once I found the place a few years ago, I never take Max & Bailey anywhere else.Max went in with a severe skin condition-he was not feeling well, stayed in his house for days and couldn't sleep due to discomfort.Two days after treatment at Gulfgate Animal Hospital, Max's skin was clearing up and he was back to his normal self again....and I spent less than $80 for the office visit and 2 prescriptions...unheard of! So glad I brought my kitten to Gulfgate Animal Hospital. Great service, affordable, clean facilities, and pretty timely for it being a busy Saturday morning. The front desk staff were all very nice and knowledgable and Dr. Rosas did a great job at explaining everything that was going on with my little kitty, Stew. She gave me some tips on how to make his treatment better as he's going through an upper respiratory infection :-( I was really impressed with the service overall and I totally am recommending them to any friends and family with pets! So although the doctors are great the wait is Ridiculous! I got here at 9am on a Monday with four people in front of me and 2 hours later I am still waiting to be seen. How is that even possible. I can hear doctors and vet techs in the back having conversations but about what there are only four animals here including mine ..... just very frustrating . Read Less

Don't waste your time there at this clinic. I had heard good things @ this clinic so I took my pit there when she had gotten in a fight and was banged up pretty bad and needed stitches and the oriental dr only cared about $$$. She wanted to order all types of labs that wasn't necessary and when I declined she suggested I just put her to sleep!!!! I ended up paying the $500 to get stitched up ONLY because I love my dog but I will never go back there! The only thing I can say positive about this clinic was the girls up front where very sweet and very nice to my dog but the DR didn't have a heart all she cared about is the $$$! Read Less

I've brought my cat Rowena here several times. The Doctors are very nice and always happy all the questions I have. The techs are welcoming and polite. They also send me reminders in the mail for my cat's vaccines/boosters/check up, which is great because I'm a forgetful person.The place is very clean and doesn't have that "dog smell" that I have encountered at other clinics (I don't mind the dog smell, just thought I should point it out for those that do). I took a stray kitten with issues that I otherwise could not afford to treat. It is very affordable in comparison to a regular vet. The Veterinarian gave me great, honest advice. I did not have a flexible schedule that day and they went above and beyond to accommodate me.Read Less

My experience there with everybody was terrific! I enjoyed the company of Dr. Kathy Palmer! She was very informative, and made the experience for me quick and simple! I had many questions as a first time Dog owner and she gladly answered all of them in depth.  She was patient and I had a splendid time getting taken care of by care! I don't have pets, but for a couple of years in a row now I've helped my girlfriend cart her pets over here for their annual check ups.  The wait tends to be long and I don't think they take appointments, but the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.  They're really good about keeping the place clean and spending appropriate amount of times with each patient.  One of my girlfriend's cats peed himself when some of the dogs started barking at each other.  When we got him out of the carrier, I didn't want to touch him, but the vet's assistant was great about grabbing napkins and helping to clean things up.  She didn't have to do that. I come here even though I have to drive somewhat, because my cats deserve the best. They have some of the best vets around at very reasonable prices. I do have to say from previous visits, they tend to be dog and cat-centric, so if you have a turtle, bird, or some other scaly or furry friend, you may feel a bit outnumbered. Most of the vets here have been nothing, but great with my cats and what I like is that they are direct and to the point. They will do what they have too, to keep your fluffy friend in tip top shape. When comparing prices, this is possibly one of the better ones, and the quality doesn't suffer.What will drive you crazy is that people know this place is awesome and it gets packed as if though your latest celebrity were about to sing on stage. Saturday mornings are possibly the worst times to go as you will wait forever, but in the end the quality and cost outweigh that negative enough to me to still give it a five star rating. I have come here midweek in the morning and found the wait time to be so much more reasonable. My cats are healthier for this place, even though deep down inside, I'm pretty sure my cats would commit arson if they had criminal tendencies. Nope, they still  hate going to the vet, but I know they are treated well and ignoring me for a day after shots is well worth the price of a healthy kitty. Read Less

Miss the old vet been taking my pet to this clinic for years nd seen some veterinarians that left me wanting to switch clinics. The prices are reasonable been going up in the last yrs and I mean doubled for the same procedures. Well have had 2 bad experiences and they seem to happen more frequently in recent time. 1st took a dog to get surgery cause was mauled by other dogs well he had several surgeries. The first vet that did his work didn't do a good job as the stitches were not made in a good way his skin started to turn dark and a whole piece of skin came off half of the skin around his neck had to take him back another veterinarian there fixed the previous work done. It was a real bad experience. Now most recently I took my 9yr old dog to the clinic I was assigned a veterinarian who I hadn't seen before. My doy had a growth in his back the vet check it she said it was a tumor. I was pretty sure it wasn't I've been having dogs 4 yrs so I knew what he had was a bag of puss so they needed to drain it but she was saying it was a tumor I told her if she could poke it with a syringe to be sure and sure enough puss came out even with all that she still was saying it was a tumor. They wanted to charge me $400 to take the "tumor" out. Took him home they gave me antibiotics which didn't work by the way did a home treatment of course that didn't include opening the wroth by a week of me doing the home treatment with out antibiotics the growth was gone. So my.advice to you was if you.go to this clinic keep the visits with.the same vets you've seen before and that you know are good vets. Read Less

I give one star for the technician guy named Orlando or Olympo, or something starting with an O. On our second visit, he insisted that he clip my 8week old kitten's nails. I said that I don't mind them, and I'll do it when she isn't so scared. He insisted and clipped them and made her bleed. First of all, as a vet technician, you should know that you have to work up to cutting the nails, and you don't have to do all at once. Instead he did it with very blunt clippers and cut her quick. I did not appreciate the patronizing tone about how I don't know how to take care of my kitten and how she will rip out a claw if I don't do it now. I will cut the nails when she is comfortable and ready. You can't do them all at once when they are a kitten, you have to prepare them for it with paw play. I am very pissed he cut her quick and made her bleed. I do not want him near my kitten again!!! Hire some more caring technicians. I also didn't like how pushy he was with the nails and with the vaccinations too. I want the doctor's opinions, not his. He didn't read her chart, and didn't remember we were there when she was bit by a dog, paralyzed, and had to get her tail amputated. That's a lot of trauma to go through, and she's just now learning how to walk again.. and it makes my blood boil that he hurt her and made her nails bleed, making it hard for her to walk again. Orlando is horrible and gets one star. Update: her damaged nails that were cut beyond the quick very bad the day after. She limps and tries not to use her leg. I think it's the saddest thing that someone who was entrusted to help my kitten, hurt her. I hope Olympo takes this to heart and changes his demeanor so he is more guiding and helpful, rather than pushy and rude. After all, it is my kitten. Not his. These are my decisions. Dr. Ong however, get Five Starts, because she is very caring, compassionate and good at what she does. I can't thank her enough! The front desk staff are awesome. Went in with my new kitten and was greeted by a friendly staff and Dr Palmer is so sweet and answered all my questions thoroughly. She even gave me some donated medication for my healing kitten which was totally unexpected. I genuinely felt like she cared about the well being of my animal. I recommend this place to anyone. This animal hospital is great! The only con is wait time but that's the least of it. Max wait time for me has been 2 hours. Now for the good stuff...this hospital helped save my siberian husky puppy from parvo! My pup had to stay for a couple of days, then I got the call saying he was good enough to go home with meds. This all was reasonably priced in my opinion. Out of all the Doctors at the hospital, my favorite is Dr. Palmer! She is my dogs favorite too haha. But everyone there is great! I recently took my boy for to get cryptorchid surgery, neutered, and chipped. Once again great job and reasonably priced.So come on down here with your four legged kid! Read Less

My fur child, McLovin, has been an established patient here for about 5 years now. Mainly for annual checkups, quite a few times for those dang ear infections, and once for a nasty skin rash. The entire staff is awesome and very informative when answering any questions I had. I appreciate that they send me little reminder cards for his checkups. I'm not sure how many veterinarians they have here, but I recommend seeing either Dr. Dees, Dr. Palmer, or Dr. Ong. These doctors and their nurses are amazing and know what they're doing. They love McLovin, or at least they make it seem like they do. I've never made an appointment here. I'm not sure if they do take appointments, but it is a walk-in establishment. I suggest you come in early and not during peak hours (afternoons). Otherwise, the waits are long but so worth it. Read Less

We have been taking our beloved pup to this place for a year and a half now (est. 5-7 visits for various accident-prone puppy adventures). There is one staff member in particular, I believe to be the 'lead,' who is by far the rudest, though they all could probably win awards. For example: I called on a Saturday to have them fax over my dog's vaccine records to the kennel where he was going to stay. Then, after multiple condescending remarks, she informed me that they ""don't fax on Saturdays."" Most recently, we went through an entire visit for a possible minor eye infection, only to find out AFTER the visit (and pup was already in the car) that his shots were out of date... and only because I asked. When I inquired as to why they didn't say something during the visit - since there was no way on earth I was going to get him BACK into the office at this point - the tech at the desk (a different one than previous example) informed me that they ""don't normally do that."" Um, you don't normally check to make sure the patient in front of you is healthy and properly vaccinated? You're staring at his chart! Very frustrating. As the heading states, the vets we've encountered have all been fine. They are polite, thorough, and seem sincerely concerned about my pet. Unfortunately the interaction with them is about 10% of the actual visit, so guess what - we're looking for a new clinic. Read Less
