Dr Keadle took such good care of our Labrador Retriever. We had never been to longenbaugh Vet Clinic before. One evening our dog was attacked and her ear was injured and bloody. Our regular vet was not able to treat her since they would be closing soon. My husband decided just to bring her to Dr. Keadle without calling. He took her in with no problem and treated her not only for the bite wounds that required stitches but noticed she had an ear infection and she would need tubes because of fluid buildup. He stayed past closing time until he completed everything. He will be our new Vet! Read Less

It really saddens me to have to write this review after being a LOYAL customer of Longenbaugh Vet hospital for over 5 years for both of our pets. When the hospital was first recommended to us, the place had great customer service, the hospital itself was always clean, very friendly environment and it was like that for a few years and we were very pleased. However, things have drastically changed in the past year. One of our babies has been on ongoing medication for quite some time which requires us to order his medication every 3 months. Every 3 months we call the hospital and ask them to send us 3 more months supply of his medicine. They automatically charge our card, and we just wait for the package. A few months ago, we kept waiting for our package and it was late about 2-3 weeks. We were not pleased but we eventually got it. RECENTLY, we ordered the medicine and we have not received it, and it is already over a week late. We called the hospital for help and guidance to see if they could help us track the package. All they said was the following: "(DATE) this is the date that we sent the package, and if you haven't received it then its not our fault. We (Longenbaugh Hospital) did our part on shipping it out and cant do anything about it." ... WOW Talk about customer service! We asked for a tracking number and they didn't have one, since they used USPS. First of all, if you know you are going to send a customers money's worth in medicine, why wouldn't you use something reliable to track a package. That package was worth about $70 in medicine, and it got lost....??? Because they dont think its necessary to use a delivery service that has a tracking number? We feel very sad about this situation because at no point in time did they try to be understanding, and all they did was try to get their hands clean "We did our part" but couldn't even try to do their job and say something like "Let me see if there is something we can do on our end to try to find the package that you already paid for". We asked to speak to the owner and repeated the situation, and when my husband was on the phone with him, he had to ask the Doctor to please keep the call professional because his tone of voice was getting loud and aggressive. We asked if there was a number that they could provide so we could do the work ourselves and try to find the package, and the Doctors words were "The number is USPS..." and went on to say the same thing as the other young lady on the phone "My son is the one that takes the packages to USPS, and if he took the package, then it is out of our hands... If you want us to resend the medicine again we can, but we are going to CHARGE YOU AGAIN" We let the owner know how unnapreciated we felt as a customer with his lack of help, and told him that we might have to take our service elsewhere.. and he responded with "If that's what you want to do, then go ahead" It was embarrassing to have this conversation with the OWNER aaanddd his staff and see that he does not care for his patients and the money we pay for the service / product which is unbearable. Our family has been loyal to this hospital, and we drive all the way from the GALLERIA area to now get this type of service. IT SICKENS ME TO BE TREATED LIKE TRASH AFTER I AM PAYING FOR A PRODUCT OR A SERVICE! They will never have my business again. We have tried calling 2 more times and they still dont want to HELP or do anything on their end. They keep telling us to call our postal service, but how can we call and how could USPS help if there is no tracking number? All I can say is that if you are looking for a good place to be treated like family and have great customer service for you and your loved pets... this is no longer the place to go. This hospital has lost my loyalty and respect. Read Less

Pet owner beware! If your dog is really sick, don't go here. Our dog needed several hours with and IV because she was very dehydrated. Instead of them having us take her to the Animal ER immediately, they decided to charge us $400 to put her on an IV for one hour then told us they were closing and to take her to the Animal ER so they can give her more IV. Needless to say, she died as soon as we arrived at the ER. If they would have told us to take her straight to the ER instead of trying to make a buck, she'd be alive. Killers!!! Read Less

Best vet, hands down.I am so thankful that I happened to schedule an appt here over a year ago now. I am an owner of a french and american bulldog and this doctor and his assistants have so much knowledge with them. They care about the animals and also the environment and all of the background history so they know that the pet is in good hands. Lately I temporarily took in a french bulldog of another friend because it wasn't compatible with the other frenchie that it was living with. The dog was tortured so when I took him in, we took her to get all fixed up and taken care of. They were so happy to know that I took the dog in and asked several questions to see if we were doing everything possible to prevent it from happening with our dogs. The same dog went in to heat a couple of weeks later and I haven't ever experienced this with a dog. After several weeks, something wasn't seeming normal because she was still in heat. The owner took his dog to his vet, and the vet gave the dog a steroid shot and antibiotics and just said it was a bad infection and that they would follow up in a week. I got the dog back and she looked so bad. She wasn't eating, so I knew I would feel better after getting a second opinion from Dr. Keadle. I was so happy that I did. Dr. Keadle ended up doing an emergency surgery (on a Friday, right before closing)  removing her ovaries and uterus, because she was suffering from Pyometra, a deadly sickness that can and will kill the dog if it goes un noticed. The Dr. said the dog wouldn't have made it, had we waited the amount of time that the original Dr. said. The dog is healing perfectly and she seems so happy compared to a couple of weeks ago!Just the fact that the Dr. did an unplanned surgery at closing hours and stayed late, just shows how much he truly does care for the dogs. I definitely recommend this Dr. Read Less

When we adopted our cat from CAP, we were given a list of vets. The paperwork stated if you made an appointment with one on the list within 48 hours, the appointment would be free. We adopted on a Saturday; I called Monday to make the appointment. I explained the above and took the first available appointment. Saw the vet, who was nice enough, but only tried to sell me heartworm and flea prevention. I declined, because I get it much cheaper online. They didn't seem too pleased about that. When we went to the front desk to check out, I was told the charge was $75! I explained that this was her free visit, as part of her adoption. The office manager was called over, and she proceeded to tell me I did not qualify for the free visit. In her opinion, I had to actually have my cat SEEN within 48 hours. That is not what the paperwork said, and I showed it to her. It said to make an appointment within 48 hours. She was very rude and repeatedly told me I was wrong. Their office felt dirty, although it could just be that it is so old. Thankfully, I have since found a wonderful vet with a staff to match. Read Less

They are the best I have seen. I have been going to this vet for on and off now for 5 years. As we moved around trying to find a vet that did half the job was hard. I was glad to move back in the area. They take the time to allow your pet calm down and they get to know your pet. They all are very sweet and helpful. The vet himself is very informative and does not use lingo to explain what is wrong. The vet techs. Are also knowledgeable, and really try to male your visit as pleasant as it can be. I use to have a dog that has now passed but this is the only place she wanted to go to. The only place she did not get anxious at. So if you need a vet or need to change, you should try longenbaugh vet hospital. Read Less

Killers!!! Read Less

On December 17, 2015, my wife and I hurriedly took my Shepard Mix, Teddy, by there late one evening at Christmastime. Dr. Keadle delayed their Christmas party to x-ray and go over my dog thoroughly,.Fortunately it was only a hyperextended elbow, no breaks, but lots of swelling, they treated my boy Teddy with the utmost care and excellent Professionalism. We are moving our records over this week and they are now going to be our permanent veterinarian. Teddy is healing wonderfully and can't wait to get back outside chasing squirrels.

Read Less
