We found this gem of a place last year after having a horrific experience with one of our cats at another veterinarian and now I would not bring my girls anywhere else. We have two cats, one who is tolerant of the vet, and another who is absolutely not. Dr. Folger was extremely helpful with our aggressive girl and the vet techs did SUCH a great job with handling her. Our other cat was recently diagnosed with CKD as well as lymphoma, and Dr. Pittari has been an absolute dream to work with. Not only is she knowledgeable, but she is so caring! Before I review, I want to drop this tip: they have the best prices on Hills Prescription canned food, even compared to Amazon. I've never received more heartfelt care than here for my cat, Blackie. After having had multiple issues and visiting 2 other vets and an emergency room, Memorial Cat Hospital welcomed us with their specializing only in cats. My vet here is Dr. Pittari and she is truly wonderful. All staff and of course the doctors are knowledgeable and more than happy to help give tips and personal knowledge. My cats - several generations of them - have gone to Memorial Cat Hospital for many years. Yes, our neighborhood vet in southeast Houston does an ok enough job for spaying/neutering and giving shots, and they're priced very reasonably. But anything more complicated than routine stuff, and they are a total waste of time -- mine and the cat's -- and money (mine :-)). Example: years ago a 3 week old kitten was brought to me; abandoned by its mother, barely able to walk because its belly was so distended, it could barely walk. Neighborhood vet said the cat's constipated and there's nothing to be done because she's too small to operate. Basically he told me to put the kitten down. I rushed her to Dr. Folger's who showed us how to do enemas on this tiny creature. Actually, it's not that hard to do, but it sure took some courage the first time my husband and I did it by ourselves. We had to do it twice a day for a week before the kitten could defecate by herself. We had meant to adopt her out, but by then both my husband and I figured we knew her too "intimately" to let her go... She's 6 years old now and in fine health. Thank you, Dr. Folger. The Doctors and staff here are wonderful in courtesy and intelligence. They managed to save my kitten that would have been euthanized by any other clinic due to his condition. We love everyone at Memorial Cat Hospital!! Everyone who works there is amazing. The doctors and techs are extremely knowledgeable about anything and everything that could be going on with your kitty. We trust our cats to be boarded here and know they will be very well taken care of. We have a cat that gets her arthritis treatment here. I like to think it helps ease her pain. But most importantly, they saved my other cat's life, and we are forever grateful. He fully recovered and is back to his old self. The BEST in town! I have been taking my fur-babies there for 20+ years. (First 'set' of kitties, and now my second 'set' of kitties.) Dr. Pittari is my and my fur-babies favorite, however all the Doctors are very good. I've been going there for over 30 years, thru three cats, one of whom made it to 21 years of age. There are so many good staff there currently that it's difficult to name just a few, but the techs Jenny and Sheena really stand out. And the receptionist Mellissa is awesome. I think she would be a great asset to ANY practice, or business that deals directly with clients/customers. We had a cat with 3 different cancers. Dr PIttari diagnosed and treated the cancers and made sure our cat had a high quality of life. He always bounced back thanks to Dr PIttari's care. He was first diagnosed with cancer when he was 9 years old and lived to 16 years old, a ripe age for any cat. Tribber was a loved cat by everyone at the clinic. I cannot say enough praises for the staff of Memorial Cat Hospital. I started taking my cats there several years ago, and I would never take them anywhere else. We just went through a very stressful period with my cat, Tabitha, who developed cancer in her tongue. During this 21/2 month ordeal, Dr. Folger and the entire staff could not have been kinder or more caring. Each and every staff member was professional and made an effort to comfort us. The tech that was assigned to treat Tabitha for her twice weekly treatments, Shelbi, went above and beyond to care for Tabitha and us. I've been working here since 2010. Melissa the office manager is diplomatic and accommodating, she also has a great additude while she is giving excellent guest service. The doctors are one of a kind. They are so good to my cats and I see them extending that excellence to our clientele. They each have their fortes, and there is a perfect doctor for every cat here. My coworkers are very caring, we all get to know the cats down to their individual personalities. We give cats comfort when they are shy and there is no situation we can't handle. Didn't feel I was getting any answers from my long-term vet about my cat's skin condition so booked an appointment with Dr. Pittari. She had him allergy tested and when the results came in, she discussed all of the options with me and we settled on a plan together. My cat has fur again and, after years of suffering from pain and irritation, is back to his old sweet self. I felt the testing was very reasonable and am still confused as to why my former vet didn't explore this option with me. Loved Dr. Pittari and the vet techs. My cat is a big boy and has drawn blood on everyone who has ever examined him in the past. Dr. Pittari and staff are the "cat whisperers!" No blood, no struggle and no stress for me. I have now switched all three of my cats over to Dr. Pittari. The waiting room is large, clean and quiet with no dogs allowed. It makes such a huge difference for my cats. The people at the front desk are efficient and personable. I can not tell you how different all this is from my old vet and how happy I am that I made the switch.
