Memorial Town And Country Animal Clinic

Houston, Texas
General Info
Memorial Town and Country Animal Clinic delivers veterinary services across Houston and broader Texas by structuring its care through layered inputs including gentle sounds regulated breath and visual predictability to maintain animal spatial awareness. During the initial minutes there is no direct interaction. Pets examine floor textures while reacting to temperature variations and attentively listening to hallway sound patterns. Employees monitor their positions near walls and exits while observing owners and recording blink rates alongside breathing rhythms and sniffing patterns. The process reverses when tension builds: room tone fades, lighting shifts, interactions reset through familiar movements or silent mirroring. Memorial Town and Country Animal Clinic delivers complex health screening alongside inflammatory response management while tracking pain and adjusting diets to realign movement patterns in aging pets. The delivery of each step occurs solely when pattern familiarity has been firmly established. The visit proceeds when dogs choose reorientation over flinching and cats move toward observation instead of retreating. Home care plans incorporate intricate sensory stacking logic which dictates when to dim lights before meals, how to soften sounds in transitional zones, and where to allow animals to guide the pace during post-treatment re-entry. Owners receive information beyond medication schedules and meal times to understand the state of calmness before disruption occurs. Memorial Town and Country Animal Clinic delivers healthcare services to Houston's residents starting before physical contact and extending past patient discharge. Throughout Texas the impact of environmental consciousness creates permanent change.

We recently transferred from a clinic that we had been with for the past 15 years after continued inflated costs with every other visit, rushed appts if you were lucky enough to get a scheduled appt with your Veterinarian and difficulty in scheduling appts in a timely manner. ( There seemed to be more of a push for drop off visits only at my former clinic.) I can honestly say that "MEMORIAL TOWN & COUNTRY ANIMAL CLINIC" has been a true blessing and I could not be more happier. They have made the transition for all of our fur babies (2 large dogs, 1 puppy and 1 cat) an extremely easy and painless one. All of my fur babies walk without hesitation into the clinic even after several visits, annual immunizations, nail trimmings and examinations. For me, there is no better testament than that! We have even had 2 separate emergency visits and the care and attention that our four legged family members received by Dr. Brasher and the rest of the staff is hands down by far ......... exceptional. I feel that their fees are comparable, I have never had any unnecessary tests and procedures pushed on to me or my critters and I have have never left there feeling rushed or with any questions unanswered. This is like having all of the charm, friendliness and phenomenal care of a small town clinic right in the middle in a big city. I definitely give it "5 stars." Read Less

Most amazing vet clinic ever. The awesome staff at MTCAC has cared for our furry babies for 13 years, and I've never had a complaint. He practically hurdles over us to get into the vet clinic as soon as we pull into the drive. MTCAC feels more like family than a doctor's office.... and for that reason, I'll never go anywhere else! Couldn't recommend MTCAC more. 13 years can't be wrong. What's the fuss all about? Keep reading. Dr. Peterson has provided amazing care to our sweet boy Jake (a medium sized dog) for as long as he's been at the clinic (and most recently Jake has had super complicated medical issues). He's easy to talk to, listens to all of our concerns (by most accounts I'm a neurotic pet parent!), and has a very reasonable approach to care. He has been awesome at coordinating care with specialists when necessary. I've never felt like he was "over treating", or pushing high dollar tests/procedures. In Dr. Peterson's absence one weekend, Dr. Edwards made a tough call to send us to emergency care - it was the PERFECT CALL and probably saved Jake's life. Dr. Inman is patient, and willing to provide the simplest or most detailed information - depending on what you want. She has taken great care of our recent rescues (really small dogs), and made the transition process to foster care easy. The only reason I'm not commenting on Dr. Brasher is that we haven't had the pleasure of working with him directly, but know others who have and love him. Now to the staff. It says A LOT that the staff has had minimal turnovers throughout the years. It's so comforting to see the same front desk staff visit after visit, and hear a familiar voice on the phone. Oh, the vet techs. I love their vet techs! I feel like they really care about the animals they treat. Kimberly has been a fabulous wealth of knowledge over the years, and couldn't be sweeter or more comforting. Jen has been equally valuable in our experience. These ladies know my animals by sight, and are a huge part of the reason I trust this clinic. Referencing our complicated medical issue dog Jake, above, it was actually because of vet tech Jen at MTCAC, who chatted me up during a nail clip, where I mentioned some unusual signs I had been seeing, who recommended an immediate blood test .... where the first signs of abnormality were found. I can't stress enough that it was because of her, Dr. Peterson, and Dr. Edwards that quick action was taken, and Jake is fortunately still with us. If you've read this far, you've surely seen something that would make a difference to you in the care of your pet. So, what are you waiting for? This clinic's team ROCKS. . Read Less

In addition, should one of your animals need end of life services, I cannot imagine a more compassionate team. Be careful, these are older arrogant burned out vets, they get attitude if you ask too many questions. Dr. Peterson & Dr. Inman told me my dog needed a strong antibiotic injection because she had a kidney infection, they did not want to wait one day for the culture & sensitivity test to come back to make sure it was the right antibiotic, instead they gave my 14 year old yorkie a really strong antibiotic injection that's only tested on animals that are well with deep skin lacerations. It's not intended for kidney issues and mainly used in feral cats that are difficult to medicate. This antibiotic has a short shelf life of 55 days so if they don't use it, they lose money. That's the only reason I can think of that they would give an antibiotic that's not even for my dogs issues and would stay in her body for 65 days. It was so strong that it caused my yorkie to go in Drug Induced Hemolytic Anemia. Instead of helping me when I was so worried and needing their help, I was told to go elsewhere, their ego was too big to help me & they were too arrogant to even consider she could be having a adverse reaction to a injection they gave her. She died Oct 6th, 45 days after injection. I tried my best to save her and couldn't. Read Less

PLEASE DO NOT TRUST DR. APRIL INMAN, DR. PETERSON OR DR. KAREN EDWARDS WITH YOUR CAT OR DOG!  You may lose your pet if you do because they are extremely careless and they won't be there for you if your cat:dog has adverse reaction, they are more interested in their ego and being right & if you suggest that your animal may be having an adverse effect, they get defensive, do not offer solutions and and tell you to go elsewhere. They killed my yorkie and was heartless about it! They used a very strong high dose long lasting antibiotic injection called Convenia, it stays in the animals system for 65 days. It was only approved animals that are well & with deep skin lacerations and mainly used for ferrel cats that are hard to medicate, it specifically says on the Zoetis Convenia insert under Precautions do not use this medication in the absence of a known bacteria, they sent off her urine for a urine culture & sensitivity test but Dr. Peterson & Dr. Inman gave a large dosage of the injection the same day and did not wait for the results.  A prudent doctor waits for the culture & sensitivity test to come back to make sure it's the right antibiotic, and if they want to start your dog on an antibiotic that day, they would start her on an oral antibiotic, not a longterm strong injection that's for skin infections and can't be reversed once it's given. My yorkie died Oct. 6 2015 from Drug Induced Hemolytic Anemia, a known side effect of Convenia, if they wanted to give a 14yr old yorkie with a kidney infection an injection for off market purposes than why give a huge dose? Why not at least play it safe and give half dose since they shouldn't be giving it at all! I went back in 6 days later to get blood taken because I was worried, her RBC, HGB & HCT was lowering and her WBC went down a little, and her Reticulocytes had doubled & her Bun went up. Dr. Peterson walks around from the back & says good news, it looks like her WBC are responding to the antibiotic, no mention or concern about the rest of the values, so as I'm leaving I ask for a copy and that's when I see the values had all changed shifted toward Hemolytic anemia. That was the last time Dr. Peterson talked to me, and Dr. Inman never talked to me after she gave my baby the lethal injection. I went in on Aug 30th for more blood because I was scared and found out that I had a new doctor, they had pawned me off on one of the meanest people I think I have ever met Dr. Karen Edwards. She was cold with a defensive attitude from the beginning, I'm standing there with my yorkie who I love dearly with tears in my eyes explaining that I'm scared she's having an adverse reaction and instead of being concerned or doing anything at all to help, she blurts out that she stands behind what Dr. Peterson & Dr. Inman did as far as the Convenia injection goes and it seems like I don't have trust with the clinic so perhaps I should go elsewhere. I was shocked! The doctors at Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic have been around for a while, they come across as burnt out vets that can do no wrong and really don't want to be there, I really think it's It's better to get a young up to date vet that still loves animals & loves their job!! They may not realize that they took the love of my life from me, because to them, she's just another dog! Read Less

I have been taking my dogs to Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic for many years.  I called Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic and talked to 2 different people at the front desk and they told me independently that I can either have my dog get a physical from the doctor or have a technician do a test so that I can buy heart worm medication.  I decided to have the doctor do the physical even though it was more expensive.  When my dog was getting the physical by the doctor, the doctor went ahead and did the heart worm test without telling me, and when I said that I only wanted the physical, the doctor said they had to do the test for me to purchase the heart worm medication, and the front desk was wrong. I was charged for both the physical and the heart worm test.  To me, it was a simple bait and switch scam.  This vet is out for your money.  Beware.  I would just go elsewhere. Read Less

Call us crazy but we got 2 puppies from the same litter. Cute little bundles of fuzz joined our family in April. Large waiting room with plenty of seats which we took advantage of during our brief wait. Dr. Edwards called us to the back & you could tell that she loves animals. I loved the way she handled our puppies, she took her time with each & got some cuddles in during the exam. The vet techs are all nice & also handled the pups with love. I really like Dr. Edwards, who has limited hours at the clinic so all of our appointments are scheduled around her schedule (she's there most Saturdays). My husband and I have two dogs, Juno and Fiona, both whom we proudly adopted from animal shelters.  After my husband googled a vet with good reviews, we settled on Dr. Mark Peterson to be the doctor of our girls.  We have seen him about three times over the past year.  This is our true story.Visit one: Around December 2009- I was not present as I was at home slowly dying from a bought of pneumonia/pleurisy/bronchitis/flu, however my husband states to this day that Dr. Peterson was kind, friendly and helpful with our dog Juno, who was taken in for leg pain.  One major positive, he gives shelter dogs a cheaper first exam. BONUS!!Visit two: Around the end of September 2010- I brought Fiona, our new puppy of two weeks, in two get a general check up and because we just had a feeling something was not right.  He diagnosed an (unnamed) parasite and provided us with ten days of antibiotics, saying it would be cleared in no time and that we had nothing to worry about.  PS.. he did not use gloves... even during the fecal sample... no, I'm not kidding...Visit three: Two weeks after the previous visit: Fiona still has something wrong with her and we have a new carpet cleaner to prove it (the Pet Stain Spot Bot, I give it 5 stars if you're in the market)..   My husband and I brought both Fiona and Juno in to get checked in, wondering if the unnamed parasite may have spread to both dogs.  Dr. Peterson was short and rude with me as I explained the situation (even my husband noticed) and stated "oh, you didn't tell me about that" after I mentioned her symptoms, after I most certainly had the previous visit.  He gave her one round of anti-biotics, which did clear up the problem $50 dollars later.  As my husband stated in the car ride home "someone wasn't using their listening ears at Fiona's first visit and they just cost us $50 bucks."  So true.    PS... Dr. Peterson continued not to use gloves EVER... gross.....Moral of the story?  We got rid of our puppies' parasites and her vet.The end.* no names in this story were changed Read Less

Memorial Town And Country Animal Clinic

Houston, Texas
(36)

This clinic's team ROCKS. . Read Less
