We've been in Houston since January and tried this place out first as it was close to us and had good reviews. First the good:They do seem to care and want to help, but some of the vets there are in and out of the exam room so quick you wonder if they're researching a problem or are just throwing plan A at it and then if that doesn't work you can come back for plan B.We've had some great experiences there and they always have room to get you in the door within the same week it seems, so that's good. The customer service level they provide is quite high. Whenever I walk in and speak with people in the front, they are always quite helpful and happy to help, which I appreciate. However, two things have popped up as negatives so far, which is why we will not be returning:1) We have a ferret that we took there for some problems she was having, and they had a doctor in house that specialized in small animals/ferrets. We were working with her and our ferret's health was improving. One day, we call up to find out that the vet no longer works there and they have no one on staff that specializes with ferrets. How about a quick phone call to all customers that have ferrets and small animals to let them know so they can make alternative arrangements *before* they need a vet? That's only common sense speaking, which I realize isn't common to all...2) They are expensive. From routine exams to medications they administer, we have found them to be, in some cases, twice as expensive as other clinics. I understand that normally you get what you pay for, but if that were the case, I would expect to pay a bit less. Most troubling about this is the high cost of medications we have seen here. When I can turn around and get the exact same medication at other clinics for half as much, it makes me ask the question of how much profit is this place trying to make vs. how much do they care about their clients.Like I said, they have been good in some circumstances and bad in others. If you're new in town and just need a vet to get to quick...I wouldn't hesitate for some quick, albeit expensive, triage. However, take some time and look at some of the excellent clinics that are around Houston that provide higher levels of care for a lower cost. Read Less
