Let me start by saying, I understand nothing is free, yet there are circumstances that you would think may warrant bending rules a little bit. I took my dog, Jayda, to PetWorks on Friday, and I spent $333 and some change, $78 for a prescription due to pain. Mind you, Houston just experienced a severe flood and, sadly, there were lives lost, property damage et cetera, thus, it's been declared a "disaster." With all of that going on and trying to get to a safer environment, I lost the "pain meds" that I just purchased, and when I called PetWorks Express and explained my situation, I asked if there was any way they could give me another prescription, perhaps, with some sort of discount considering the extenuating circumstances, and I was told "No, we can't. We can give you another prescription, but you have to pay $78 again," per the "receptionist (and decision-maker for PetWorks Express). I am livid, especially considering the amount of money I spent and the fact that the pills were lost during a weather disaster.
Jayda also had an appointment to have her teeth cleaned, but I told them to cancel it. I cannot believe this, and I am utterly shocked!!
Again, I did not ask for a freebie; however, I simply pleaded my case by asking if they could help me, because the pills were lost as a result of trying to move to a safer location during the storm. I believe it's more of feeling a bit hurt considering Jayda's in pain. Read Less
