We love our vet! Our doggo is a handful at the vet and everyone here tries so hard to make her experience good and, slowly but surely, she's less awful each time. Great vet's and staff everyone is so nice and caring. They also have the pharmacy in office, so you get the medicine to take with you once they are done examing and/or testing your pet. We have taken 3 of our dogs there. Dr. Stone is wonderful! However, we have seen other vets there and they are all wonderful and caring. They are in the neighborhood and are close which is so convenient. The only negative is they are VERY expensive. When you have 4 pets it gets expensive to keep them all current on their shots, flea medicine etc. and of course any problems that arise from time to time. We LOVE them just wish they had a low cost vaccine day. Read Less

I recently just got a new puppy and I also just recently moved to the Tanglewilde area and was in search for a new Vet clinic for my girl Winnie. When I initially called here I was annoyed bc I don't feel like the initial phone greeting was polite but thankfully I decided to check it out anyway and to my surprise I met a great staff! I waited maybe five min, filled out my paperwork and Dr. Stone was with me before I knew it. She was so inviting and very eager to meet and care for my Winnie. I really appreciated how sweet and loving she even held my pup because at the end of the day they don't have to "love" your dog just treat him/her. Dr. Stone was very patient with my questions and gave me all the info I needed to make sure I can take the best care of my new puppy. She gave great recommendations and let me know I could always call if I had any questions or if I noticed odd behavior from Winnie. I will def continue to bring Winnie and any future pets of mine here to the Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic to see Dr.Stone. Read Less

I tried another vet at the recommendation of a co-worker and for numerous reasons, I decided to search for a new vet for my furry family.I found Tanglewilde via Yelp and was encouraged by the positive reviews. I immediately called to make an appointment for my yorkie.From the appointment scheduling call to the visit and wellness exam to checking out and paying, I can say this is EXACTLY the type of vet I was hoping to find! New in town and needed a vet. My indoor cats had fleas for the first time ever and I panicked.  Didn't know that was a perk to living in Houston. I'm from the more northern states. What great service. The front office was so accommodating and friendly when I called ( Barbra I Think), giving me tips on getting rid of fleas. I have never been to a veterinary clinic as gentle and kind as this. They treated my cats so tenderly. The cats didn't have the trauma they had in the past. I saw Dr. Sherry Corona. They recommended Revolution, and now the fleas are under control. They even did a followup call to see how the cats were doing.Thank you Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic!We will definitely be back. My puppy is a distemper survivor. She is 7 months old and still have the neurological disorder of the twitching. I thought that maybe acupuncture would help. I chose this place because the vet practices Chinese, natural and western medicine. Her life was saved with natural treatments because she wasn't responding to the harsh medicines. This vet was respectful of how I wanted to continue to help my puppy. Her tone of voice and overall feeling was very gentle and calm. We couldn't do acupuncture because the pups tics are so rapid, the needles were falling out of her skin. So the vet applied laser therapy. My puppy was very happy. I will be back for further treatments. And the entire staff was very sweet, very thorough with what the best treatment for my puppy should be. The over all experience was beautiful. Read Less

Moving to Houston from California recently, I was on the hunt for a good vet for my elderly dog. After much research, I decided on TW and I'm so glad I did. Everyone on staff is friendly and knowledgeable and genuinely cares about you and your pet. Being that I moved from California, I was blown away how cheap my final bill came out to be. Check up and 2 types of medications, I was expecting to easily spend over $200. Nope, it was less than $50! Let me clearly state, the cost does not represent the quality of care you receive. Tanglewilde Vet Clinic is great! I have been taking Cooper, my Shih Tzu here since I adopted him over 10 years ago. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Roseanne, Peggy or any of the wonderful front desk personnel - you immediately feel at home. Dr. Parkerson is always courteous, engaging, informative and never makes you feel like she is rushing to the next appointment. She takes her time with you and your animal and has a great way of explaining what your options are in treating your pet - without pressure or immediately suggesting pills or expensive medicines. We just started taking our fur babies to this veterinary and we absolutely love it! The last occasion was due to an emergency that dealt with worms-that we had no idea how to handle, the clinic gave us an appointment immediately and answered every possible question we could of had. We have 3 dogs and they have been extremely helpful and understanding of the chaos at times when we have appointments and have been beyond patient with our million questions and concerns. The staff has always gone above and beyond at each appointment and anytime I've called with an issue we weren't sure how to handle, the staff has always answered and guided us through the issue. I have received monthly reminders-through the most adorable mailed post cards - for each dog on when their next medicine is due. I couldn't be happier with the clinic and the  entire staff! I've been taking my dogs to Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic for over 9 years. Their staff has earned my trust by consistently displaying the highest degree of care, compassion as professionalism. I had concerns when Dr. Stiles sold her practice to Dr. Parkerson. But, time has shown me that those concerns were unfounded. Dr. Parkerson has maintained the best from Dr. Stiles era and brought her own refreshing style into Tanglewilde.Dr. Parkerson is everything you could hope for in a small animal veterinarian. She is attentive to detail but doesn't get lost in the small things. Dr. Parkerson is well versed in both hard Western veterinary practices and well as Eastern medicine. She has no qualms about referring a pet to another practice for more specialized care when needed. Even when the news is the worst possible, she helps you makes the right decisions for both you and your beloved pet. Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic is a 40 minute drive from my house. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to great vets. But, the drive to Tanglewilde is well worth it. I know my babies will receive the best care available in Houston. Read Less

I can't say enough wonderful things about Tanglewilde. The front desk staff and the vet techs are always wonderful, even helping me with the rebate forms for my dog's flea and heart worm meds. Dr. Parkerson is wonderful with my dog, and has been since before coming to Tanglewilde. She is also great with the humans that come in with her patients; giving advice, setting things straight without making me feel like an idiot dog owner, and listening. I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Parkerson for 6 or 7 years.  I even followed her to this practice when she bought it maybe 3 years ago?  I don't remember when it was.  She is great with my dogs and everyone at the practice is very helpful and caring.  I feel like she is knowledgeable about a lot of different breeds.  She knew a lot of specific things about my breed of dog (Shih-Tzu) that I only knew because I've read a lot about the breed.  I highly recommend her! We were referred to this vet from a friend, when we adopted 2 Chihuahuas from her. We will never go anywhere else, every experience we have had with Tanglewilde has been EXCEPTIONAL. I love the family, intimate feel. They have been great and understanding with all of our pets; when we weren't sure what was wrong with our Border Collie X, Jessica was very informative and thorough in her assessment and we were able to email and communicate efficiently & effectively. I love how they treat my fur kids; I took them to a 'chain vet' before and the level of care @ Tanglewilde far, far exceeds the care they got at the other place. I  have been taking my animals to the Tanglewilde Vet Clinic for about a year and cannot be any happier with our experience. We have two rescue animals, a German Shepherd and a cat, Tanglewilde was suggested to us by the organization we adopted our Shepherd from. Dr. Parkerson was absolutely amazing with our terrified of everything dog, the first time she met her, she sat right down on the floor and let Hannah get comfortable with her and then conducted the whole exam while sitting with our scaredy-cat dog making both us and our new love incredibly comfortable. Since our first meeting we have been in a handful of times and have continued to be elated with and impressed by our overall experience. They offer 20% off your visit three days out of the six that they are open and have generally reasonable prices for all services, also they have competitively low prices on meds.I cannot stress enough my comfortability with, confidence in and fondness for this clinic.  Highly highly suggest! I was searching for a vet close to my home on a Saturday morning.  The office of the vet I regularly use was closed on a Saturday.  They close on Saturday a month and I was concerned about my cat's sneezing and eye discharge.  I called this vet's office since they are close to my place and they have good ratings.  Laura who answered the phone was really nice.  The tech Joseph was very nice too.  Because I was a last minute client, it took a while to see my cat but Dr. Parkerson seemed to care for the kitty  I might switch my veterianiarian to this one due to distance and the prices seem to be the same.  The staff seems caring too. I called to schedule an appointment for my cat who has been sick for a while and I wanted a second opinion. Beatrice answered, placed me on hold for a little while, then finally came back on the line, but was not pleasant. She asked how she can help me and then I gave her a short summary of what I was dealing with and wanted to know if it was possible to come in today. I expressed my frustration with my current vet and was looking for any help for my cat. She said there was nothing available today. (Silence) That's it! Do not offer any comfort, no suggestion to go in on another day, nothing to recommend or extend a call-back from the vet to further assist me or anything. Just flat out - there's nothing available today. I said Ok...I guess I'll continue to look and she said ok good luck! Whaaaat?? Wow.Although, I cannot comment on the service of the vet because I never made it past the call, but, at this point, nor do I want to. How unfortunate. Read Less
