Vca Spring Branch Animal Hospital

Rushed from downtown for my 2:20 appointment. I checked in at 2:15 and was not seen until 2:45. The doctors and vet tech were quite nice, but there seems to be a grave issue here. First when I met with the vet tech I told her that we were here for the new patient complimentary wellness exam, and to have a renewal of the script for the heart worm and flea medicine. I also said I wanted to learn about the CareClub program. She informed us of the vaccines my dog would need and that it was up to us to determine if we needed the non-core vaccines, and reviewed the Careclub program with us by simply stating the cost and that it included annual maintenance. I asked if those shots she suggested would be included if we signed up for the program. She said they would. We asked if there was a commitment for this program, she said a year at the monthly rate of $35. We never discussed what those shots would cost without the program or anything like that, she simply said to think it over. Then the doctor came in, we went through a similar discussion. I said we would look to sign up online for the ClubCare program, and would bring him back in for shots. That is because why would one make a year commitment to something they had never heard of before, without performing due diligence of the ClubCare reviews and the Vet establishment reviews. The vet tech was taking a long time to return, so I left to return to work, as their running late would not make me late to return to work. I left the dog with my girlfriend, in which apparently the Vet Tech administered the shots on my dog. We never reviewed pricing, I never said to go ahead with the shots. I said I would review the program online and bring the dog back in for the suggested shots. They then proceeded to enroll me in the ClubCare program, which I did not say I agreed to and billed my girlfriend for the $50 ClubCare enrollment program. Having google reviewed the establishment, there are several people who complain about this establishments ability to keep appointment times, failure to let their customers know they are running behind, and their overcharging tendencies. A simple Google search for ClubCare reviews produces an average rating of 2.4 stars with 85 reviews. When my girlfriend called to cancel the ClubCare program, they then charged us for the annual shots and the vet visit. I'm sorry, I specifically told you guys that we had a coupon for the wellness visit as we were new customers. I'm not sure if this is bait & switch or pure lack of awareness, but stay far away from this establishment and their ClubCare program. Read Less

Hi! Do you have a sour disposition and a general disdain for all living creatures?! If so, then apply at VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital today! In all seriousness, everyone that works at this office is pretty rude/inept, save for a few of the ladies that work up front. Pricing for this place is also a little ridiculous... tell me why I was charged a $59 physical examination fee to board my dog even though, I’ve taken him to Spring Branch VCA, before? I think my recently going to a different clinic for shots and examinations was frowned upon and I was charged accordingly for it. Also, why aren’t you able to pick up your pet on Sundays? This is seems odd to me, as there is clearly someone there to walk and feed the animals at some point during the day. Pretty funny that you get charged an additional $60 for that day.... hmmmmm. I have waited until i gave this place more than a fair chance before reviewing. I was a client here for a couple of years at least. The quality of care you and your pet will recieve here may varies greatly and depends on the delicate balance of which receptionist you deal with, whoch technician you end up with and which doctor you came to see. The results can rqnge from an excellent experience or a disasterous highway robbery hosted by the most rude (you you and eachother) you have ever met. I wonder if they know how thin their walls are...I do, and I am disgusted with their decorum. They couldn't pay me to return unless it was my absolute last resort. Our dogs were attacked by a dog off its leash. One was very hurt and we brought it in immediately. Dr. Dagher told us to bring in our larger dog when we came back for a checkup. We thought the bigger dog was ok, but Dr. Dagher caught her infection before it was too bad. They obviously care for the animals and Dr. Dagher is great with them. Read Less

I rarely leave Google reviews, but this place is the BEST! What sold us was the Dr. herself, we are first-time pet owners who adopted a puppy recently, and were nervous about our first vet. experience. Dr. Dagher gave us top-notch service and was very sweet and helpful with all of our questions. She even goes above the call of duty and answers emails when I have concerns at home. She obviously cares about her patients and has a passion for what she does, which I appreciate so much. The staff at this location is also amazing. Our dog is not good around other dogs, so when we came in for a follow-up appointment, they let us in through the back door straight into our own private room. If you're looking for a quality clinic, look no further. I will not take my dog anywhere else. Read Less

This place has always been good to my dogs. They have good vets and the staff is nice. Very clean and they're basically in a brand new facility. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because of wait times. It often takes longer than you'd think. But overall, we don't have any issues and have been going here since like 2009. Read Less

I've been taking my dog here since I got her 3 years ago and the staff have always been very kind and helpful. They've recently remodeled and the new building is very nice and clean. My dog isn't the best with the vet, and they've let us just walk in and sit in the patient room for a while to try to acclimate her to being at the vet. Dr. Woodard and Dr. McConaughey have always come and let me know results of the visit in person and walked me through everything that they did. Read Less

I have two one year old rescue dogs. I chose this vet because they work closely with the shelter I adopted my pups from, but I could not be happier with their services!!! I have been coming here for six months now, and I will never take my dogs anywhere else. All the vets are incredibly knowledgeable, animal friendly, and informative, plus personable. I have never felt talked down to or uncomfortable. I also have to give a shout-out to the techs and ladies who work the front desk. They have amazing customer service! My dogs actually like going to the vet, and so do I! If you are looking for a new/different vet, choose Springbranch VCA!Read Less

We brought in our hamster who had a very bad eye infection, planning to put him down. We didn't have an appointment, just walked in and filled out some paperwork, then were sent to an exam room. After about 10-15 minutes (expected since we were walk-in) the doctor came in and examined him. She provided guidance and treatment options, if we wanted to treat him, and also a price to put him down. Everyone who handled our hamster was great and kind to him. I highly recommend this VCA. I absolutely love going here! My cats are treated by the staff with kindness and compassion. When I walk through the door, the front desk people recognize me and ask "How is Tripp doing? Is Missy still as lovable as ever?" It's great to have a vet clinic that is so personable and even make an effort to remember my cat's names. Dr. Tran is the vet that I saw on my first visit there and I had such a wonderful experience with her that she is now my regular vet! Not only is she knowledgeable in her field, but she really makes me and my cats feel comfortable. When my cats are at ease, I am at ease. After moving to the dreaded 'burbs, we decided to continue coming to Spring Branch because of Dr. Schweiss and the amazing staff at VCA SPBAH. I can't say a bad word about the place except that it's practically like driving to Canada, but the kind, caring, professional treatment make it all worthwhile. Read Less
