West Alabama Animal Clinic has the best staff. Irina was really helpful to me prior to coming in this year for my boxer's annual exam/vaccines. She answered all of my questions and even gave me a detailed quote so I would be prepared ahead of time. Once we arrived and were shown to an exam room, the vet tech was so friendly and thorough, and my boxer just loved the attention. Dr. Dany then arrived to perform the exam and explained each vaccine to me. I really appreciated the details! She was also so kind and my dog really took to her. All while she was examining my very fidgety boxer, the vet tech was so good with distracting her with treats which kept her more or less still. Checking out was a breeze, and I'm even considering boarding there in the future.

We’ve been taking all 3 of our babies (dogs) here for over 4 years. They are the greatest. They love and care for our dogs as much as we do. 4 years ago our boxer swallowed a squeaker and almost died. After 2 other vets saying they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, West Alabama was able to figure it out and perform a surgery which saved him. Since then they were our favorite clinic. They always follow up after sending our dogs home, offer great discounts for being a regular and give them the best care. Recently one of our dogs needed urgent dental operation and even though they were fully booked, they found a spot and took her in fairly quick. All the staff and doctors are extremely pleasant to deal with and very friendly. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

We love Dr. Brandt and the staff at West Alabama Animal Clinic, our little Bentley (female English Bulldog) adores her and is always happy to go visit the office. We knew the minute we rescued our male English Bulldog he had to also start off on the right foot! He immediately felt comfortable that he rolled over on his back for belly rubs. This office truly loves what they do and employs the right people to make it feel like your visiting family and not a clinic!

We had taken our cats elsewhere and we felt more needed to be done for a very sick kitty. We were aware of West Alabama through a friend and decided to take her there. Dr. Martinez saw her and realized that the care was beyond the scope of the clinic and referred us to another specialty facility, but would not let us go until Sprite's pain was controlled. The clinic and especially Dr. Hanna, have been incredibly helpful and compassionate. We have had two cats with kidney disease and the care has been amazing, letting us maintain the cats comfort and life as long as reasonable. The latest visit was another emergency. We were able to go in immediately and received the best possible care. I would not recommend any other veterinary clinic in Houston.

West Alabama Animal Clinic is AMAZING! I am a first time dog mom and I trust this clinic and every single employee with my puppy's (Ollie) life. This is one of those places that you feel confident in going to because the people are so nice, knowledgeable and invest their time in ensuring 100% satisfaction for humans and pets alike. Dr. Hanna, in particular, is a trustworthy, kind and extremely intelligent doctor. She has always taken the time to see Ollie even for emergency visits and has addressed all of my concerns in a genuinely interested and caring manner. I appreciate all the help and guidance they have provided me over the past few months in giving Ollie the best care/life possible. I would recommend this clinic to all pet owners! The staff is awesome and the prices and quality of service are incredible!

I've been here many times to get my girl groomed. They do a great job for a great price. She is usually in and out in a couple hours. It's actually a different visit that takes the cake. I have an 85lb rescue. He's as sweet as can be but is high anxiety and has handler aggression with vets, getting his nails trimmed etc. Being previously abused and having one of his toes cut off, he won't even let me touch his paws etc. Yesterday I brought him in for his shots and nail trim. He is resistant to sedatives and it's took hours to find the right combination to get him to be sedated enough to trim his nails. Dr Taylor and Jen (vet tech) went above and beyond. They spent time on the ground with him, earning his trust, loving on him and going at his pace. Unlike experiences in the past where some other clinics have used force to get this done. I knew it would be an ordeal but they just kept trying. They realized how sweet my boy is and sympathized with how his previous abuse made him this way, never getting angry or giving up. Thank you Dr Taylor and staff for your care, compassion and commitment to taking the time so that my boy wasn't further traumatized. It really meant more than you know.

I have been very impressed with my experience at West Alabama Animal Clinic. When I moved to Houston 2 years ago, they came highly recommended, and I'm happy we chose to get Coco's care here. We see Dr. Martinez who is amazing and takes very good care of Coco, but have also seen several other vets on occasion and have had a great experience with all of them. They genuinely care about my dog, and I feel they give an honest assessment of what, if anything, needs to be done. I am especially grateful for the care Coco received while I was traveling and she was attacked by another dog while staying with a friend. Dr. Martinez and the staff checked in with my repeatedly until I could get back home, and I never doubted she was in the best hands throughout her recovery.

From the front desk to vet techs to the veterinarians, West Alabama Animal Clinic is THE BEST across the board! Their prices can't be beat, the level of care and personal customer service are beyond anything I've ever or could ever imagine experiencing, and they are always timely with appointments (unlike most human and animal doctors in my experience). Not only do I adore every member of their staff, who I am eternally grateful to for their amazing care of my "child" (aka my dog), but my dog is just as happy to go WAAC as she is going to the dog park. I honestly can't say enough about this clinic, other than I highly recommend them if you're looking for a vet and staff who always go the extra mile in the most sincere and compassionate manner. They also meet or beat any price found online for medications, and will buy back unused medications. They even have free nail clips and free anal gland cleaning with no appointment. They help me remember when their check-ups, immunizations are due etc and assist me with things like pet licensing, products and so on. The people their know my cats names and have a relationship with them, I think that is pretty special. No doubt they will always be my vet of choice.

A little pricey for some vet services and medication, which is due to he location in the city. Great prices for boarding, and my dog did well. Good choice for boarding a puppy or a dog after surgery because they get a lot of supervision and it limits their physical activity so that they don't pull stitches. A decent amount of parking spaces out front.

I've been bringing my dogs here for 5 years and my experience has been wonderful. The entire staff are all really courteous and helpful and the clinic is clean and well cared for. The vets all take the time to address all my questions and concerns. My dog Tucker came down with a mysterious fever on a Friday and they fit me in last minute on a Saturday morning without an appointment. They were able to bring his fever down and even saved me a lot of money by not doing unnecessary diagnostic testing, which I really appreciated. Then the vet as well as one of the receptionists took the time to make 2 follow up calls just to check on how Tucker was doing. They might not be the cheapest vet clinic in town, but it's the great customer service and the genuine care they have for their patients that I really love. I can't say enough good things about West Alabama Animal Clinic!

I have been taking my dog here for 10 years. I have moved from the area about a year ago, but I still drive over 25 miles to use the same veterinary clinic. Why? Because every time I have brought my dog here, the employees are pleasant, the vets are knowledgeable and they only do what is necessary. My dog has had a surgery for bladder stones and has had some skin issues through the years and has a sensitive stomach. They are flexible in scheduling, offer Saturday times, and the best part?? They have grooming and boarding on the same property along with separate cat door entrance. Camping as Harley knows it... Peace of mind when traveling - knowing the vet with my dog's history is under the same (expanded) roof as the boarding area when I am out of town. And what is best? Family atmosphere and great customer service. Dr. Vasser and all the other aggie vets rock. My dog - Hook'em Harley has been treated the best and I cannot be happier with everyone at the Animal Clinic. (They offer Sunday pick up too now for boarding...) Try them out. And all the folks at the receptionist desk are great. Karen (I think is the name) has been there a long time too and is always a familiar, calm voice when you call for advice! Professional, kind, and fairly priced. You will be pleased.

West Alabama Animal Clinic has the best staff. Irina was really helpful to me prior to coming in this year for my boxer's annual exam/vaccines. She answered all of my questions and even gave me a detailed quote so I would be prepared ahead of time. Once we arrived and were shown to an exam room, the vet tech was so friendly and thorough, and my boxer just loved the attention. Dr. Dany then arrived to perform the exam and explained each vaccine to me. I really appreciated the details! She was also so kind and my dog really took to her. All while she was examining my very fidgety boxer, the vet tech was so good with distracting her with treats which kept her more or less still. Checking out was a breeze, and I'm even considering boarding there in the future.

We’ve been taking all 3 of our babies (dogs) here for over 4 years. They are the greatest. They love and care for our dogs as much as we do. 4 years ago our boxer swallowed a squeaker and almost died. After 2 other vets saying they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, West Alabama was able to figure it out and perform a surgery which saved him. Since then they were our favorite clinic. They always follow up after sending our dogs home, offer great discounts for being a regular and give them the best care. Recently one of our dogs needed urgent dental operation and even though they were fully booked, they found a spot and took her in fairly quick. All the staff and doctors are extremely pleasant to deal with and very friendly. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

We had taken our cats elsewhere and we felt more needed to be done for a very sick kitty. We were aware of West Alabama through a friend and decided to take her there. Dr. Martinez saw her and realized that the care was beyond the scope of the clinic and referred us to another specialty facility, but would not let us go until Sprite's pain was controlled. The clinic and especially Dr. Hanna, have been incredibly helpful and compassionate. We have had two cats with kidney disease and the care has been amazing, letting us maintain the cats comfort and life as long as reasonable. The latest visit was another emergency. We were able to go in immediately and received the best possible care. I would not recommend any other veterinary clinic in Houston.

This is one of those places that you feel confident in going to because the people are so nice, knowledgeable and invest their time in ensuring 100% satisfaction for humans and pets alike. Dr. Hanna, in particular, is a trustworthy, kind and extremely intelligent doctor. She has always taken the time to see Ollie even for emergency visits and has addressed all of my concerns in a genuinely interested and caring manner. I appreciate all the help and guidance they have provided me over the past few months in giving Ollie the best care/life possible. I would recommend this clinic to all pet owners! The staff is awesome and the prices and quality of service are incredible!

I've been here many times to get my girl groomed. They do a great job for a great price. She is usually in and out in a couple hours. It's actually a different visit that takes the cake. I have an 85lb rescue. He's as sweet as can be but is high anxiety and has handler aggression with vets, getting his nails trimmed etc. Being previously abused and having one of his toes cut off, he won't even let me touch his paws etc. Yesterday I brought him in for his shots and nail trim. He is resistant to sedatives and it's took hours to find the right combination to get him to be sedated enough to trim his nails. Dr Taylor and Jen (vet tech) went above and beyond. They spent time on the ground with him, earning his trust, loving on him and going at his pace. Unlike experiences in the past where some other clinics have used force to get this done. I knew it would be an ordeal but they just kept trying. They realized how sweet my boy is and sympathized with how his previous abuse made him this way, never getting angry or giving up. Thank you Dr Taylor and staff for your care, compassion and commitment to taking the time so that my boy wasn't further traumatized. It really meant more than you know.

I have been very impressed with my experience at West Alabama Animal Clinic. When I moved to Houston 2 years ago, they came highly recommended, and I'm happy we chose to get Coco's care here. We see Dr. Martinez who is amazing and takes very good care of Coco, but have also seen several other vets on occasion and have had a great experience with all of them. They genuinely care about my dog, and I feel they give an honest assessment of what, if anything, needs to be done. I am especially grateful for the care Coco received while I was traveling and she was attacked by another dog while staying with a friend. Dr. Martinez and the staff checked in with my repeatedly until I could get back home, and I never doubted she was in the best hands throughout her recovery.

From the front desk to vet techs to the veterinarians, West Alabama Animal Clinic is THE BEST across the board! Their prices can't be beat, the level of care and personal customer service are beyond anything I've ever or could ever imagine experiencing, and they are always timely with appointments (unlike most human and animal doctors in my experience). Not only do I adore every member of their staff, who I am eternally grateful to for their amazing care of my "child" (aka my dog), but my dog is just as happy to go WAAC as she is going to the dog park. I honestly can't say enough about this clinic, other than I highly recommend them if you're looking for a vet and staff who always go the extra mile in the most sincere and compassionate manner. They help me remember when their check-ups, immunizations are due etc and assist me with things like pet licensing, products and so on. The people their know my cats names and have a relationship with them, I think that is pretty special. No doubt they will always be my vet of choice.

A little pricey for some vet services and medication, which is due to he location in the city. Great prices for boarding, and my dog did well. Good choice for boarding a puppy or a dog after surgery because they get a lot of supervision and it limits their physical activity so that they don't pull stitches. A decent amount of parking spaces out front.

I've been bringing my dogs here for 5 years and my experience has been wonderful. The entire staff are all really courteous and helpful and the clinic is clean and well cared for. The vets all take the time to address all my questions and concerns. My dog Tucker came down with a mysterious fever on a Friday and they fit me in last minute on a Saturday morning without an appointment. They were able to bring his fever down and even saved me a lot of money by not doing unnecessary diagnostic testing, which I really appreciated. Then the vet as well as one of the receptionists took the time to make 2 follow up calls just to check on how Tucker was doing. They might not be the cheapest vet clinic in town, but it's the great customer service and the genuine care they have for their patients that I really love. I can't say enough good things about West Alabama Animal Clinic!

I have been taking my dog here for 10 years. I have moved from the area about a year ago, but I still drive over 25 miles to use the same veterinary clinic. Why? Because every time I have brought my dog here, the employees are pleasant, the vets are knowledgeable and they only do what is necessary. My dog has had a surgery for bladder stones and has had some skin issues through the years and has a sensitive stomach. They are flexible in scheduling, offer Saturday times, and the best part?? They have grooming and boarding on the same property along with separate cat door entrance. Camping as Harley knows it... Peace of mind when traveling - knowing the vet with my dog's history is under the same (expanded) roof as the boarding area when I am out of town. And what is best? Family atmosphere and great customer service. Dr. Vasser and all the other aggie vets rock. My dog - Hook'em Harley has been treated the best and I cannot be happier with everyone at the Animal Clinic. (They offer Sunday pick up too now for boarding...) Try them out. And all the folks at the receptionist desk are great. Karen (I think is the name) has been there a long time too and is always a familiar, calm voice when you call for advice! Professional, kind, and fairly priced. You will be pleased.
