We've been bringing our 6 dogs and one cat over 20 years now to Drs. Milan and Wise (and now Dr. Box). Their skill, thoroughness, and compassion for animals and their owners is matched only by the staff, starting with Charley and continuing through the technicians. We now drive out of our way from another part of the city to have our dogs treated there, and whether it's a measure of their disposition or the care of the staff (or maybe some of both), our poodle puppies actually LIKE going to Wilcrest Animal Hospital.
I saw another post about the cost of treatment, and I do agree that any pet owner should get an estimate of cost before having any pet treated as costs can be high, especially for testing. That being said, I'd recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital highly.

I took my fur son, King, for his first visit. He is always nervous, since he had surgery, and this day was no different. After coaxing him out of his kennel, he peed all over the floor. I was upset and embarrassed. The assist was cool and just got it up. They were so kind although King was not very pleasant. I never understand how such a small dog can have such a big attitude. If you are looking for a great office with great people that care about the furry member(s) of your family.....look no further!!

These guys are great. We have been going here for over 4 years and I love dealing with everyone at Wilcrest. We have 3 dogs so we visit pretty frequently, and they are supper attentive to each of my dogs needs. My biggest dog (70lbs) can sometimes be a pain when it comes to routine exams, but Jen works miracles with him and somehow keeps him calm. The reception staff are always welcoming and get me into a room quickly, so I'm not waiting around the reception with anxious dogs. The Dr's take the time to answer any concerns I have and never rush me. They even let me bring the dogs in to get weighed whenever I want, so I can make sure they are at an ideal weight. I love taking my dogs here and my dogs love the attention and treats they get at every visit.

These people are AWESOME!!!! Warm, friendly, accommodating, and SO KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!! I have used them for dog care for 20+ years. Val, Charlie, and Christi have always gone above and beyond to assist me with anything I need. The doctors are are progressive in vet care and very aware of each breeds needs. I wish my doctors office was as great as Wilcrest Animal Hospital!

Having recently moved here from the UK I really needed to get my dogs seen very quickly to get them up to date on local vaccinations; additionally, one of them seemed quite unwell. I had found another Animal Hospital but couldn't get in until Monday and so decided to drop into Wilcrest Animal Hospital as I passed by whilst out on a walk. I took both dogs in and explained the situation and all 3 of the ladies behind the desk were friendly and welcoming. I got an appointment that same day for 4:30 and again all of the staff I encountered were really friendly, clearly loved animals and were knowledgeable and informative. My 2 dogs (Rotties) and I were in there for a total of 1.5 hours and whilst one of my dogs can be a little trickier to manage (she has anxiety), the 2 nurses (sorry I didn't catch your names) and Dr Wise weren't fazed at all and were fantastic with both - they even suggested I drop in regularly with them for a cookies so they don't associate going there with only bad things happening (who would want a thermometer up their ... :)) I can't recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital enough and am so, SO pleased to have such a great veterinary clinic on my doorstep! Thank you all :)

While I was on vacation over the Christmas holidays, my 18 year old cat, Bumper, got out. He has always been an indoor cat so this was very disturbing. Being older, he can become disoriented but I was hoping he was just in the backyard maybe under the deck. My wonderful pet sitter, Donna looked everywhere. No Bumper. If it were not for the highly skilled and compassionate medical team at Wilcrest Animal Hospital my 14 year old pitbull/huskey mix and best friend would not be alive today. Dr. Milan and Dr. Wise are...
If it were not for the highly skilled and compassionate medical team at Wilcrest Animal Hospital my 14 year old pitbull/huskey mix and best friend would not be alive today. Dr. Milan and Dr. Wise are true Pet Detectives. After a battery of tests, observations, and consults with other veterinary experts they surmised that in addition to pancreatitis my dog probably had some type of obstruction in his digestive tract as well. My wife and I did not believe this to be the case because we did not think he had eaten any foreign objects. Eventually though we opted for surgery as a last resort when his condition dramatically deteriorated. It turns out that Dr. Milans diagnosis was spot on and she removed a variety of plastic trash items that appeared to have been lodged in his stomach for some time. So thanks to the Pet Detectives my best friend is alive today and has made a full recovery. I highly recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets! Dr. Milan and her entire team of doctors, techs and receptionists are caring true professionals that treats all their patients as if they were their own.

If it were not for the highly skilled and compassionate medical team at Wilcrest Animal Hospital my 14 year old pitbull/huskey mix and best friend would not be alive today. Dr. Milan and Dr. Wise are true Pet Detectives. I've always said that the Vets here at Wilcrest Animal Hospital are excellent. They are. Both Dr. Milan and Dr Wise are phenomonal listeners and give wonderful compassionate care. But that's not what makes this place special. When was the last time you called up any medical clinic and they knew you by name or even voice? Wilcrest's staff is like that.. the most phenomonal caring group of staffers I have ever seen. I drive 10 miles each way twice a day to take my Westie there because I know she will get the best care there is with vets and staff who would do anything for her. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I was upset and embarrassed. The assist was cool and just got it up. They were so kind although King was not very pleasant. I never understand how such a small dog can have such a big attitude. These guys are great. We have been going here for over 4 years and I love dealing with everyone at Wilcrest. We have 3 dogs so we visit pretty frequently, and they are supper attentive to each of my dogs needs. Eventually though we opted for surgery as a last resort when his condition dramatically deteriorated. It turns out that Dr. Milans diagnosis was spot on and she removed a variety of plastic trash items that appeared to have been lodged in his stomach for some time. So thanks to the Pet Detectives my best friend is alive today and has made a full recovery. I highly recommend Wilcrest Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets! Dr. Milan and her entire team of doctors, techs and receptionists are caring true professionals that treats all their patients as if they were their own.

This is the VERY BEST! We have two larger dogs who love Dr Milan and staff. They r the best-and I'm picky about the care for my mastiff and golden:)

I've always said that the Vets here at Wilcrest Animal Hospital are excellent. They are. Both Dr. Milan and Dr Wise are phenomonal listeners and give wonderful compassionate care. But that's not what makes this place special. When was the last time you called up any medical clinic and they knew you by name or even voice? Wilcrest's staff is like that.. the most phenomonal caring group of staffers I have ever seen. I drive 10 miles each way twice a day to take my Westie there because I know she will get the best care there is with vets and staff who would do anything for her. I encourage everyone else to do the same.
