Moving means finding new everything -- cleaners, doctors, dentists, grocery stores, and vets. Thanks to the fabulousness of teh Google, I found the Animal Care Center of Lake Houston for my adopted Tabby cat, Abby.I don't live near the ACC; in fact, I live in downtown Houston. But I shopped around and the price for the initial, "new patient" visit was $55 at the ACC, including shots and feline HIV, compared to $175 at the River Oaks Animal Clinic and Cat Vet Clinic. I didn't even think twice about making the drive to Huffman to save $120. Located near 1960 and FM 2100, the Animal Care Center is exactly what you want in a vet -- caring and plentiful staff, a clean facility, plenty of customers (usually meaning they're really good), and, a vet who takes time to get to know you and your pet. We had to wait longer than I would have liked once they got us into the exam room (about 25 minutes), but the care the vet gave to my cat totally made up for it. I even got a post-visit call to check on Abby and to ensure we'd had a good visit. Who does that?! I'll tell you who -- the Animal Care Center of Lake Houston. Go there -- today! Read Less
