We brought our newly adopted cat, Khleo, here tonight - to fix her spay sutures (3rd time being closed). (Twice at adopted shelter) Super friendly service. Very caring and attentive. Come to find out, our Khleo had a lot of puss from her spay surgery. They had to make a bigger incision to get her cleaned out and on her way to recovery. Hours later, she was eating and a cat that I had not yet experienced (as the 2 times she came home from the shelter clinic she did not eat for 3-4 days). We greatly appreciate all that was done to give us the cat that we didn't know she could even be. Now looking forward to when she is all healed up! Time spent there was approx 3 hrs. $$ was not cheap; but to know how she is now compared to the shelter clinic...well worth it! Super clean facility too Read Less

We took in my heeler because he was acting strangely. He’s a sweet dog, but needed some time to warm up. The technicians that took him in for initial vitals were not only so patient with him, but they brought him back to us and let us wait with him in a private room so that he didn’t have to stay in the back waiting for the doctor in a kennel. The staff and Vet were professional, took my kitten to the back immediately. They genuinely seemed to care about the health and welfare of the animals that they treat. This vet clinic was open on Easter Sunday when we needed to get help for our dog. The staff is friendly and efficient; the doctors are pros. There were at least 3 other people with their pets dealing with emergencies the same day while we were there. This veterinary clinic deserves kudos for being a "true emergency" facility. Read Less

Great experience! Our little dog was attacked by a larger dog and Animal Emergency Clinic took care of her from step 1. All the staff were super nice and the doctor was very helpful and professional. Prices were less than expected as well. Great place and I highly recommend it! Read Less

Brought our dog in at 12:30 am with seizures. The clinic took her immediately, stabilized her, and presented us with treatment options. The next morning, the vet emailed our vet her condition and the treatments administered so our vet would be up to date as we were taking her directly there. No compassion at all! Sent my daughter with her dog with my care credit because we had her dog spayed the day before and she started chewing the stitches out their policy on not taking my care credit even when I told them I would come up there to go ahead and take care of the situation they couldn't take my care credit because it's there policy what a load of crap! She uses it at our vets office all the time.....not only that but would not even give advice on how to take care of it until we can get to the vet in the morning that to me shows no compassion at all and it's all about the money needless to say she left there crying with no advice what heartless people! I would not recommend y'all to a anybody that would be my best advice.....to find a place with a little more compassion! It's not like we were asking for a freaking hand out we were willing to put our own self in debt! I give you no star at all! I had to check one or it wouldn't let me post! UPDATE:: So my daughter left there crying and called me and came back home to pick me up because something had to be done for her dog and we had no where else to go we went back up there and paid the $97.00 emergency office fee and still waited almost an hour and still was not seen by a doctor so I called woodlands ER Vet office and they were a lilttle more money that I could not afford to spend BUT gave me advice that Banfield inside of petsmart was open and a lot cheaper which is something y'all could have done as well but because you were worried that without payment you could not give any advice at all because we could hold you responsible if something went wrong believe me I could hold you responsible even with payment so there was no justification in not giving some advice it shows no heart at all I am very unhappy with the way we were treated there I got my refund and left and went to petsmart they took her right in as soon as we got there and took care of her because they cared and showed they had hearts and were very compassionate about her situation! If you only knew the back story of this dog and us as animal lovers and what we do for animals you might think that what y'all did to us was unacceptable but then again when it's all about the money it makes you evil it's the root!Read Less

The service here was great! Our dog was seen promptly and his pain was addressed prior to any diagnostics. The veterinary explained everything being done and all prices were discussed up front so there were no surprises. I would not hesitate to return to this clinic if we have another pet emergency. We love this place. It's nearby for us, which is what you really want in an emergency clinic. While emergency care is expensive, they do have the availability to apply for Care Credit cards right in their office. And their care is well worth it. The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and will answer all of your questions. They're also not about just putting an animal down unless it's absolutely necessary or the animal is old. Two years ago we unfortunately had to use their services to help ease the passing of a 16 year old cat, and during this process they were so kind and gentle with us. Recently, we took our kitten in after he had a prolapsed rectum caused by a terrible hookworm infestation only days after we adopted him. As a pet mom and a real mom, I was so stressed out for my kitten while also wrangling a toddler in their waiting room at 9:00 pm. They were very helpful and patient. They also kept him overnight for the surgery so that I could take my daughter home and put her to bed. Their recheck fees are only $25 if you get worried that a surgery might be having complications or the animal is having further issues. They will also email/fax over your ER vet records the very next day to your primary vet. Hopefully I don't ever have to go back due to an animal being ill, but it's comforting to know that they're there when I need them. Read Less

Our Chihuahua was treated for a poisonous snake bite on 15NOV2016. Dr. Lewis made a thorough examination of our dog and quickly diagnosed the injury. He clearly explained the course of treatment recommended and prognosis. The doctor and staff treated our dog and us with great kindness and compassion. My son & brother have been there 2-1/2 hours almost 3 hours nd are looking at least another 30 minutes for blood work. Come on it"s an Emergency Vet Hospital & over 3'1/2 hours to find anything out. After being told couldn't wait any longer, we can at least give her Med at home, we were charged $100 for just walking in door, awaiting that long & still not finding out anything. If I rated the staff alone, I would give them 5 stars. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I don't however think they're fees are reasonable. They wanted over $800 to keep my 4 month old cat on a 12-24 hour seizure watch. While it is nice to have access to emergency care, they are the only ones available and I think they take advantage of that. Read Less

Just let the vet know and the rude receptionist know that my cat pepper didn't make it . I hate them for me losing my Bestfriend . I know money will always be in the way but as a veternarian you should always have hope that an animal will make it no matter the injuries . That wasn't at all what happen . Just like I wrote on the other clinics review I hate y'all because my Bestfriend is gone I will never get my handsome fur ball back . I don't know how y'all live with the fact that y'all can watch someone cry broken heartedly over their prize possession . Guess that's just how cold hearted people are . .Our dog had a form of anemia that we hoped would be stabilized so that we could have her cared for by our long time and trusted Vet the next morning. The Vet we were assigned at the Emergeny Clinic gave us a narrative about the anemia including options for treatment. We told the Vet that we preferred a conservative approach with steroids. The Vet advocated for a much more expensive blood transfusion which we were against because we felt it was too risky. We had some experience with other pets on this procedure and warned the DVM. We received a call early Monday morning from the Vet who informed us our dog was having problems with the transfusion with water on the heart. We were devasted when another Vet called later in the morning and told us that our dog had died. The "one star rating" is for the Vet who was responsible for the care of our dog and discounted and ignored our treatment wishes. We picked up our beloved pet in a cardboard coffin that same morning. I Took my 11 year old Cat "Dickens" there on the 22nd of NOV, the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2015. She was having trouble breathing. They said this was due to some trauma, which made her lungs fill with fluid as a result. On her X rays they said they could see 3 broken tips on her vertebrae and the Dr added, that they could tell they were fresh recent breaks. He was so sure that all she needed was oxygen that he never recommended any antibiotics. He said the only way for her to get better was to spend time in oxygen. So needless to say with oxygen priced @ $200, per 8 hours, I had to move her to my regular vet... By the time I was leaving a lady Dr had come in and she did attempt to be helpful, with oxygen and a oxygen kennel cover, to help my vet out, but it turned out they sent it over with about half the parts so it was useless to them except the frame, so my vet used the Oxygen they use in surgery and made up something from scratch around it... but then I got yelled at by one of the staff that night when I bought it back because she had loaned to me, and I should pay them for the privilege.... Really? . Now at my regular vets the Drs there agreed with one of their techs , who I had spoken to that morning. That the injury on her back was an old one as you could never pet her on her back if it was fresh, which they were doing right in front of me. Dickens never had a problem with being petted on her back in any way shape or form since then either , Neither I or my wife, can remember any time when Dickens had any problem with her back ? . ... Also they added that you can't tell by an x ray when the tips were broken off? So my regular vets gave her antibiotics and bronchodilators, diagnosing her with pneumonia, and she came home that night.... , and was doing fine for about 4 weeks. Unfortunately they think she developed some kind of asthma which they think brought on the pneumonia, and my poor baby couldn't breath, actually dying from it on January 9th. She is missed terribly by both my wife and myself... So I won't ever take another cat here much less one of the ferals I take care of as well because they blew the call. Obviously they were wrong on trauma only and could have at least considered trauma plus an infection, which would have been a far more credible position to take, and for God's sake before making a call on trauma, where applicable , please pet the cat first! I took my cat here as he was blocked, to place a catheter in and keep him until 7am the next morning they wanted $1200 We went in at 3pm or so, I tell them I cannot pay that amount so they come back with a different amount of $550 and that's with me taking him home and to the regular vet in the morning, which was fine with me. For that I am HIGHLY grateful however I was charged for a medication that I did not received because they had "run out", I still have not received discharge papers from my cats stay and when I went to pick him up I waited there almost a good hour and thirty minutes to get him, when I went up to speak to the receptionist I asked how much longer because I had been waiting and her response was "I'm waiting too" I was charged for another catheter they had to use which was $14.00 more, I was not given a collar nor anything to help contain his urine. I ended up taking him to my regular vet that morning who monitored him and ended up having to remove the catheter they placed as he was STILL blocked. So I ended up paying about 180$, for this service that included fluids, X-rays and him being monitored for about 12 hours. I've experienced better treatment at both Sunset and Westbury Clinics than I have here, next time I will make the drive into Houston. Read Less

My Yorkie Mandy was attacked by a large Lab type dog. We took her there and they took her in immediately. The clinic receptionist told us it would cost $90.00 for the Emergency Exam. We paid up front with our credit card. The staff was polite and courteous. The Vet on call was Dr. McFarland. She explained her injuries that were in her initial exam, very clearly and ask us if we had any questions. To be able to get a better idea if things were going on internally we would need x-rays. We were presented with a recommended Treatment Plan. The x-rays would be another $400.00 to look for internal injuries. We gave permission to take the x-rays. When she got the x-ray report she went over the findings very clearly. She advised that it would be best if the dog stayed over the night and be given IV Fluids and other medications. We agreed to further treatment and again paid in advance. When we picked her up the next morning. They refunded any money for services not needed during the night, as she recovered better than expected. It was $950.00 total, but I was treated fairly, given a chance to decide how far I wanted to take the treatment. I would go there again. It was more expensive than my vet, but It is an Emergency Clinic. My Yorkie is still recovering at home, but I am expecting a full recovery. Read Less
