Dr. Pratt was great with our dog (63lb lab mix). She outlined many treatment options, and encouraged us to start with the simple answer first. You can tell she really enjoys working with all the animals. You can make appointments online and they are open Saturday's which makes it easy to get your animal in. Appreciate these services. They were amazingly quick and great with my dog!! He started acting strange (shaking his head and looking a little confused) on a Tuesday afternoon and they were able to fit him in for a check up and annual exam Wednesday AM. Prices are absolutely great (80 dollars for annual check up and shots, 200 dollars for teeth cleaning) and the staff is friendly and caring. I am glad I found this gem in Hutto!! Read Less

My oldest dog unexpectedly got worms, called around and no one was taking walk ins. Took a chance and stopped into the Hutto clinic. Even though it was late in the day they were willing to work us in. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The vet techs were great along with the vet who was just wonderful! I wanted to share about our experience...my 17 year old Dachshund was not feeling well, not eating or drinking and our vet clinic we have used for 15 years was closed due to the vet being ill. I remembered reading a recent post/previews on HVC and gave them a call. The staff that answered the phone was kind, Dr. Pratt called me directly & went into great detail with me about our fur baby. When I picked him up the technician was helpful and made sure all my questions were answered. I can honestly say I will be transferring our care to HVC. It is not easy to switch Dr's when you have been happy but when I can support our local community and they take good care of you it is well worth it! Thank you HVC and Dr Pratt! Read Less

I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for over 15 years, I can no longer stomach the Assistant at the front desk. Searching for new vet. If you can get past the assistant just to buy Heart Guard or ask a question, you should be okay. If you get stuck with the lady who is always grumpy at the front desk, your better off finding another vet or going to vet school yourself. I LOVE THIS VET. The vet techs who bring you into the room and get history of the animals are so nice and ask a lot of questions.  Dr. Diana Brandon is amazing!!! She really cares about the animals and makes them feel comfortable at the visit (cuz we all know how scared our pets can get sometimes).  I also think it is very affordable.  I took both of my cats in this morning for a "re-check" to see how they were doing after their steroid shots (they were allergic to their food) and it was only $15/cat for the visit. I had met the vets through the Hutto dog park fundraiser and they remembered me and my dogs when I showed up. I had called that morning because my puppy had an ear infection. They asked me if I was okay with a drop off appointment since it was short notice and I was fine with that. When I showed up she processed my dogs paperwork quickly and the vet ended up actually seeing my pup on the spot. I had a great experience and will be returning for followup and vaccinations. Let me start by saying that I have never had a puppy, all of my dogs and cats since I was little were strays my mother claimed just followed her home from the grocery store (yeah, ma). I was worried about everything, especially when my little Coton stopped eating her kibble, the kind folks at Hutto veterinarian immediately recognized the problem with my pup and informed me that I am the new parent of a pint sized diva-in-training in a white fur coat. Joking aside, this clinic was the best decision I could have made for my puppy, the staff is friendly and professional, the prices are reasonable. My dog was there today to get a mass removed. The staff was super friendly and took great care of my dog. They made sure I had plenty of pain meds to keep here comfortable. I have been using Hutto Vet Clinic for many many years, and they have always been great. Affordable, and caring. They call after each visit to check on the animals even if its for a standard physical. As of this point, we have 2 dogs and a cat, but take our kids animals there also.So they are our "family vet". This place is awesome! I drive all the way from central austin (literally, 3 miles west of the capital) based on the recommendation of a coworker for 2 reasons: 1) the super reasonable prices and 2) the doctors are awesome!! I was taking my dog to vca ben white and while the staff and techs were super awesome, I didn't really care for their doctors that I worked with. And I mean, that's what you're paying for- it's so expensive to see the doctor for 5 minutes. So, I wanted to find a new place where I can take my little theodore to for the rest of his life. And this place is it! They're open on Saturdays, so the drive is super worth it to me!! Read Less

Where do I start?? I LOVE HUTTO VET CLINIC!!!!We have 3 sweet girls and they have been so great with all of them! We have had NUMEROUS issues with 1 of our girls. Our dog Kota was in a bad dog fight and had severe wounds. She needed surgery and drain placement.Dr Betsy Pratt & the ENTIRE Hutto Vet Clinic staff has been AMAZING!! They have bent over backwards to accommodate mine and my husbands busy schedules.  Dr Betsy Pratt has even come in on her days off to see Kota in her progress of recovery. Dr Holstrom & Blake have also seen her and been quite gentle.The Manager Linda & two vet techs Kaitlyn & Brandy have made us & our dogs feel so welcome and at home.  They treat our dogs so sweetly & are so knowledgeable :)If anyone needs to find a good quality vet you've found it here at Hutto Vet Clinic!!We are SO APPRECIATIVE for y'all going the extra mile to help us & our babies!
