DO NOT GO HERE. They're just trying to make money as opposed to take care of your pet. We were told that our dog's vaccine was only good for 6 months, and asked us to go back for it's renewal shot. We decided to try another vet, and they said that the vaccine actually lasts a year. If we hadn't visited another vet, we would've over-vaccinated and over paid! Save yourself the trouble and money, go somewhere else. Read Less

My dog need it several medications and treatment to get better sadly I was over budget by a lot but Dr. Martin immediately made changes and prioritized her medication she made a plan for us. she made it possible for my little girl to get what she’s need it right away I felt like she cared for the well being of my dog and not how much she could make. I absolutely love Dr. Martin! She’s caring and kind every time to my little girl and her stuff are always friendly and informative would recommended her to anyone. Read Less

Thank you Dr. Martin & team you made our day! This past weekend Dr. Martin. Made it possible for 3 puppies from our rescue group to fly to their new homes after there was a mistake on some paperwork the previous vet filled out. We were turned away at American Airlines & told we needed new forms. We rushed into Petsmart as they were opening & thankfully they agreed to help. With only minutes to spare we arrived back at the airport an hour later & 3 puppies went to their new furever families. Read Less

We have been using this location for our pets for years. Everyone at this location is great EXCEPT for one staff member- Bonnie. She is rude and snooty and even the other staff members said she is out of line. Yet she is STILL there. Why is this? We've been to several Banfields in Dallas and in LA prior to our moving to TX. Β Overall we love Banfields but we have had several bad experiences at this location and I would urge you to find a different Banfield. In no particular order: * We've had our dog (less than 5Ibs) roughly handled by the primary vet. * The receptionist tried to deny giving us a prescription that our emergency vet had phoned in* Extremely hard sales pitch for various things we do not need, we have never had this at other locations.* Rude receptionist and indifferent staff, honestly Dr Gamal is the worst vet I have ever had to put up with and I'm glad my dogs will never have to see him again. I would avoid this place at all costs.EDIT: The vet they used to have in this location (Dr Bell) was apparently very good but she has moved to a new free-standing clinic in the Dallas area. I would find that one if you have had good service at this location before. Read Less

I have used Banfield for almost 2 years now for both of my cats. The are both on the Wellness Plan which I have found to be very beneficial for both of my babies. The staff is always friendly and caring. My recent visit was only a drop off for dental work, in which I only interacted with the receptionist, Robbin. She was very kind, caring and does her job well. As a receptionist myself, I look forward to those that give off a friendly-oriented and calm demeanor about themselves, It tell a lot about a person. Dr. Gamal has seen both of my animals and is a great Veterinarian. He is detail-oriented and leaves no questions unanswered. I did not get to see the vet tech/assistant Maricela due to a drop off, but all the staff I have come across have been absolutely wonderful. Keep up the great work. You are all amazing and thank you for your service to our pets. Read Less

Friendly staff and fast service. The only complaints I have is they try to push you to buy their wellness packages. My first time to bring my chihuahua and she's been on Heartguard (the chewable treat type) for 3 years and that's what I asked for but didn't have it in my bag. It was a chewable pill and she doesn't like them. So I have a year supply of heart worn prevention that I can't use. Read Less

My dumpster-diving dog decided to consume the contents of my bathroom trashcan earlier this week, and I came home to vomit everywhere. I've taken my dog to this Banfield location since I got him about 6 months ago, and normally worked with Dr. Martin, who has been wonderful. Dr. Gamal (unsure of spelling) was extremely informative and qualmed my fears about my dog having a bowel obstruction, and he and the rest of the team at Banfield did their very best to keep my dog from progressing to needing surgery. My dog successfully passed the foreign bodies, and we got out with only x ray and visit costs instead of a $1400 surgery. The only reason I would not give the 5 stars is that it would have been challenging for them to perform the surgery had they needed it (their facilities weren't set up for it), and they did not a have a specific drug that the doctor had said would help my dog throw up what he had ingested. But overall, a very grateful thank you to Dr. Gamal and the rest of the staff at Banfield Pet for caring about my dog's welfare and going the extra mile to prevent him from needing surgery. Read Less

The vets here are helpful and the staff is friendly, but I'm not sure about the "wellness" plans. I have been very pleased with the care provided and the knowledge of the vets. I would have thought having one could help you get an appointment day of for a non-life threatening emergency. I was told there was no way they could schedule even just a short appointment so I could show them my pet's problem. If the vet won't see my pet when she is sick, that seems like a terrible strategy. It seems like they overbook on routine vaccinations/check-ups if they can't take any walk-ins. Read Less

Normally I wouldn't suggest any kind of yearly plan/contract with a vet. Usually it's just them trying to make a lot of money off of you because you wont actually take advantage of the benefits. I've had the puppy plan with Banfield for 2 months and it has already well over paid for itself. Any time I need to see them, I either make an appointment or drop my puppy off. This past Monday, I had to have my precious little man Buster put to sleep. He was 19 years old. I looked on yelp to find a pet clinic with the best reviews and Banfield in Las Colinas had the best. Although it was an awful time for me personally, they were amazing. Jennifer was sensitive to my needs and questions when I called to set up an appointment and when we went in the next day, she was there in the room with us when Dr. Martin did the procedure. They both cried with my husband and I and were just amazing. From when we checked in, when they put a privacy screen over the window of the room, to letting us spend as much time as we needed with Buster before and after he was gone. Thank you girls so much for making my cat's passing a peaceful one and for being so kind and sensitive to my needs on that horrible day. Read Less

The service at this location is fantastic! Everyone is so nice and helpful. We have been taking our dog Zorro here for 3 years now and have NEVER been dissatisfied. The doctors and nurses are very personable to our dog. I feel like I am taking my own kid to the doctor. They always answer all of our questions, even when we call in without an appointment. Patrons of this clinic since 2006. Obviously lots of good visits and pleased until the last year. April 2013 took my 95lb Shepard in and he has to be sedated for treatment. He was over-sedated and I called them to let them know what I experienced when we got home. Took him back in September and reminded them and spoke with the Vet about using less sedation. They called at noon and said he was ready. I asked they double check he was full awake and they decided to keep him until 4:00PM. Again when I picked him up he was still clearly under the influence of the sedation and it took almost 5 hours for him to act normal. I spoke to the practice manager, Diane and Dr. Kordis and they wanted me to let them try one more time and I explained my pet is not an experiment and I don't trust their judgment anymore. They said there wasn't anyone else to talk to and I would still have to pay for 10 months of his wellness plan. When I spoke to corp. they said there is advocate to talk with, so the clinic lied. I cancelled the plan and would not take a pet to them. Care and concern is lacking. I hope you don't get taken advantage of like I was. Read Less

My dog was obviously dying. He couldn't walk, was yelping, had breathing problems. I called Banfield to get him put down. They said they would do it. I took him in and low and behold....all they wanted to do was upsell me on unnecessary bloodwork, xrays, a dental cleaning, and toenail clipping. Why? Because the $160 for euthanizing wasn't enough? They wanted ANOTHER $220 on top of it all. Then they said they wouldn't put him down because he could live ANOTHER WEEK. I yelled at them. They told me to get out of the hospital or they would call the cops. I told them to go ahead and call them. Then I left with my dog and went to another pet hospital. They examined him. He had a stroke. And they agreed to put him down. He is no longer in pain....NO THANKS TO BANFIELD. They wanted to let him suffer! I will NEVER go to another BANFIELD again!!!!!! Read Less

Since Dr. Russell is no longer at this facility, I would definitely look elsewhere. When Ginger was so very sick a few years ago, Dr. Russell and the staff was amazing, but I think the helping spirit and love of animals went with her when she left. I didnt know any of this when I took my cat in to have a mass removed from her hip and get her teeth cleaned. When I called and made the appointment, the estimate was $300. When I dropped Ginger off this morning, the total estimate was up to $385. They just called and now they want over $800 because they "forgot to include some surgery costs". Are we seeing a trend? I feel like they are trying to gouge me and am going to pick Ginger up right now and take her someplace where the emphasis is on caring for the animals and not making a profit!!! Read Less

I have used Banfield for almost 2 years now for both of my cats. The are both on the Wellness Plan which I have found to be very beneficial for both of my babies. The staff is always friendly and caring. My recent visit was only a drop off for dental work, in which I only interacted with the receptionist, Robbin. This past Monday, I had to have my precious little man Buster put to sleep. He was 19 years old. I looked on yelp to find a pet clinic with the best reviews and Banfield in Las Colinas had the best. The service at this location is fantastic! Everyone is so nice and helpful. We have been taking our dog Zorro here for 3 years now and have NEVER been dissatisfied. I spoke to the practice manager, Diane and Dr. Kordis and they wanted me to let them try one more time and I explained my pet is not an experiment and I don't trust their judgment anymore. They said there wasn't anyone else to talk to and I would still have to pay for 10 months of his wellness plan. When I spoke to corp. they said there is advocate to talk with, so the clinic lied. My dog was obviously dying. He couldn't walk, was yelping, had breathing problems. I called Banfield to get him put down. They said they would do it. I took him in and low and behold....all they wanted to do was upsell me on unnecessary bloodwork, xrays, a dental cleaning, and toenail clipping. Why? Because the $160 for euthanizing wasn't enough? They wanted ANOTHER $220 on top of it all. Then they said they wouldn't put him down because he could live ANOTHER WEEK. I yelled at them. They told me to get out of the hospital or they would call the cops. I told them to go ahead and call them. Then I left with my dog and went to another pet hospital. They examined him. He had a stroke. And they agreed to put him down. He is no longer in pain....NO THANKS TO BANFIELD. They wanted to let him suffer! I will NEVER go to another BANFIELD again!!!!!! Read Less

Since Dr. Russell is no longer at this facility, I would definitely look elsewhere. When Ginger was so very sick a few years ago, Dr. Russell and the staff was amazing, but I think the helping spirit and love of animals went with her when she left. I didnt know any of this when I took my cat in to have a mass removed from her hip and get her teeth cleaned. When I called and made the appointment, the estimate was $300. When I dropped Ginger off this morning, the total estimate was up to $385. They just called and now they want over $800 because they "forgot to include some surgery costs". Are we seeing a trend? I feel like they are trying to gouge me and am going to pick Ginger up right now and take her someplace where the emphasis is on caring for the animals and not making a profit!!! Read Less
