The vets and staff here are amazing. Not only did they help me with a care in passing of my late dog but they are there for me with my crazy hyperactive Morkie. :-) even the silly little questions like what is reverse sneezing? Regular vet was out of town, another vet wanted to run thousands of dollars of additional tests when my dog's bloodwork came up normal - didn't really care that I was crying about not being able to afford more than one or two.
Got a second opinion here, very glad I did. The staff have far better bedside manner. The doctor was very patient when explaining, essentially, how I was overreacting. Took time to explain how he was doing okay, and what problems he did probably have due to his age. My dog isn't dying of some mysterious illness, he's just old and has some old man problems. I came home with some dog aspirin and a bill 1/3 of the size of the other vet. He's already more comfortable.

I pass by this animal hospital every single morning and I don't know why I waited so long to bring both my fur babies here. I called to schedule an appointment for my puppy and they were very willing to fit him in that same afternoon. Diana was awesome and extremely helpful with getting our dog's prior records. They were even able to fit my second dog in for a grooming that same morning. Won't be taking my dogs anywhere else anytime soon!

Had a wonderful experience with VitalPet today! I actually came in because my usual Vet office was completely booked and I wanted to get my dog Sophie seen and taken care of ASAP. They were able to schedule me in for a few hours later. The facilities were spacious and clean and the staff were so sweet. Everybody from the front desk staff to the doctor took time to explain everything and answer any questions I had and to make sure Sophie was comfortable. Also, the visit was affordable compared to nearby clinics. They took wonderful care of my little girl Sophie, and I couldn't be happier!

They assisted me with the tough decision to put to rest my little 17 year old boy kitty.
The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.
I know of a lot of people who have switched from Grand Prairie Clinic to Story Road.
I would highly recommend this Clinic.

My fur baby hurt her leg and they got her in immediately. Very caring staff and doctors. The vet examined and determined she tore her ACL and referred us to a surgeon. Through them, I am able to get her in to the surgery center faster. She gave pain meds to keep her comfortable till she could resolve the injury. Highly recommend this vet.

The doctors and staff at Vital Pet / Story Road Animal Hospital have a wonderful bedside manner with Bama. He gets anxious really fast (and truthfully probably needs a tranquilizer before getting in the car for his appointment), but their demeanor and caring attitude towards him helps calm him down so much. They are exceptional in their approach with him, and they are highly skilled and brilliant in their profession. No matter how many issues there are to discuss or health matters/questions I have, I have never felt rushed. I always come away with a thorough treatment plan and all the answers I need. I've been using Story Road Animal Hospital for years (before they were Vital Pet). And yes, the prices have gone up a lot since then but the care has too. The place has undergone a pretty major renovation over the years. Both Dr.Glenn and Dr. Peterman are the most caring, compassionate vets I have seen and I feel very comfortable bringing my pets there. The entire staff is always so friendly and caring too. They are always great about following up with information about bloodwork and other things. I feel lucky to have such a great place to bring my fur family that is so close to home.

We've been bringing our furry children to Story Road since we moved to Irving 14 years ago. Mostly just for the regular annual visits, but in 2014, my black Lab, Puddin developed liver disease and I just can't say enough wonderful things about how they helped us through her debilitating disease. Not only did they treat Puddin with medicines but they offered us holistic options that I believed kept her quality of life up . Dr. Tandy also helped me emotionally, she was so helpful in making decisions. I will continue to take any and all of my furry children to Story Road.

I think its absoulty disdusting that some came in with their very sick dog they did some tests on him they told the customer the dog MIGHT have HEARTWORM and diabetes what is with the MIGHT you didnt test the dog for these conditions the bill was way over $500.00 the customer only had half the dog needed like 4 scripts the Dr. Perscribed 2 and told the customer when they pay the balance they will write the remaining scripts. This is so terrible of the Dr.what if the dog dosnt make it till Friday when the customer pays the other half. Never would I recommend your business

I do not usually post reviews, but our experience with Story Road Animal Hospital over the years has been so good, I felt it deserved our feedback. We have been going to Dr. Peterman for over 11 years now. To us and our 11 year old dog, we will not see anyone else. All of the staff members are extremely nice and treat our dog so well, even though he likes to bite. Many years ago, our dog had a moderately serious health problem that required us to use another emergency vet service. At that time, they had given us a poor prognosis. We then consulted another vet, who wanted to refer us to highly expensive specialists. When we were able to return to Dr. Peterman, he gave a different assessment and treatment, and our dog recovered fully, even running around like an 11 year old puppy. Dr. Peterman even most recently needed to perform a surgical procedure on him and did so, expertly and very professionally. Our dog is recovering very well. We highly trust and recommend Dr. Peterman and Story Road Animal Hospital.

The staff as well as Dr. Glenn and Dr. Peterman are so impressive. They seem to love our animals as much as they would if they were their own. My sister and I have co-shared a wonderful cat, who was diagnosed with diabetes over 6 years ago. We lost him today due to renal failure and the doctors and staff were so caring and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for a great staff and great doctors. I could go on and on about the assistance they've provided over the years. Instead, I will end on this note. They are the only place I would take my beloved pets for healthcare needs.

Regular vet was out of town, another vet wanted to run thousands of dollars of additional tests when my dog's bloodwork came up normal - didn't really care that I was crying about not being able to afford more than one or two.
Got a second opinion here, very glad I did. The staff have far better bedside manner. The doctor was very patient when explaining, essentially, how I was overreacting. Took time to explain how he was doing okay, and what problems he did probably have due to his age. My dog isn't dying of some mysterious illness, he's just old and has some old man problems. I came home with some dog aspirin and a bill 1/3 of the size of the other vet. He's already more comfortable.

I called to schedule an appointment for my puppy and they were very willing to fit him in that same afternoon. Diana was awesome and extremely helpful with getting our dog's prior records. They were even able to fit my second dog in for a grooming that same morning. Won't be taking my dogs anywhere else anytime soon!

Had a wonderful experience with VitalPet today! I actually came in because my usual Vet office was completely booked and I wanted to get my dog Sophie seen and taken care of ASAP. They were able to schedule me in for a few hours later. The facilities were spacious and clean and the staff were so sweet. Everybody from the front desk staff to the doctor took time to explain everything and answer any questions I had and to make sure Sophie was comfortable. Also, the visit was affordable compared to nearby clinics. They took wonderful care of my little girl Sophie, and I couldn't be happier!

My fur baby hurt her leg and they got her in immediately. Very caring staff and doctors. The vet examined and determined she tore her ACL and referred us to a surgeon. Through them, I am able to get her in to the surgery center faster. She gave pain meds to keep her comfortable till she could resolve the injury. Highly recommend this vet.

He gets anxious really fast (and truthfully probably needs a tranquilizer before getting in the car for his appointment), but their demeanor and caring attitude towards him helps calm him down so much. They are exceptional in their approach with him, and they are highly skilled and brilliant in their profession. No matter how many issues there are to discuss or health matters/questions I have, I have never felt rushed. I always come away with a thorough treatment plan and all the answers I need. I've been using Story Road Animal Hospital for years (before they were Vital Pet). And yes, the prices have gone up a lot since then but the care has too. The place has undergone a pretty major renovation over the years. Both Dr.Glenn and Dr. Peterman are the most caring, compassionate vets I have seen and I feel very comfortable bringing my pets there. The entire staff is always so friendly and caring too. They are always great about following up with information about bloodwork and other things. I feel lucky to have such a great place to bring my fur family that is so close to home.

We've been bringing our furry children to Story Road since we moved to Irving 14 years ago. Mostly just for the regular annual visits, but in 2014, my black Lab, Puddin developed liver disease and I just can't say enough wonderful things about how they helped us through her debilitating disease. Not only did they treat Puddin with medicines but they offered us holistic options that I believed kept her quality of life up . Dr. Tandy also helped me emotionally, she was so helpful in making decisions. I will continue to take any and all of my furry children to Story Road.

This is so terrible of the Dr.what if the dog dosnt make it till Friday when the customer pays the other half. Never would I recommend your business

I do not usually post reviews, but our experience with Story Road Animal Hospital over the years has been so good, I felt it deserved our feedback. We have been going to Dr. Peterman for over 11 years now. To us and our 11 year old dog, we will not see anyone else. All of the staff members are extremely nice and treat our dog so well, even though he likes to bite. Many years ago, our dog had a moderately serious health problem that required us to use another emergency vet service. At that time, they had given us a poor prognosis. We then consulted another vet, who wanted to refer us to highly expensive specialists. When we were able to return to Dr. Peterman, he gave a different assessment and treatment, and our dog recovered fully, even running around like an 11 year old puppy. Dr. Peterman even most recently needed to perform a surgical procedure on him and did so, expertly and very professionally. Our dog is recovering very well. We highly trust and recommend Dr. Peterman and Story Road Animal Hospital.

My sister and I have co-shared a wonderful cat, who was diagnosed with diabetes over 6 years ago. We lost him today due to renal failure and the doctors and staff were so caring and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for a great staff and great doctors. I could go on and on about the assistance they've provided over the years. Instead, I will end on this note. They are the only place I would take my beloved pets for healthcare needs.
