I've used a lot of vets in the past, but have finally found one I really like. The doctors and staff are understanding, helpful and efficient. I really trust my animals with this vet. I've had bad experiences with other vets in the past which prompted me to go to this one. I've been with them for over 10 years now. You can't go wrong trying them out. Everyone is so amazing at this place! My pup gets super nervous going to the vet, yet everyone tries to work with him and he loves Dr. Lucio. She is seriously the best vet I've ever met and my pup loves her too! She truly cares about her patients and she's very skilled in surgery too! The only downside is that they no longer offer a monthly plan, but I did hear it will be back soon. I hope so because this is the best veterinarian in all of katy. ♡ Read Less

I brought my dog Macy here today. This place was recommended by an old neighbor of mine. Macy had a abcess. I honestly didn't know what was wrong. I am so very grateful for the people that work here. In the past I went to all pets emergency vet. I was treated awful there. Today made a great impression on me. These people really care. They are so nice and kind. Our kitty, Charlie, has been a patient of Dr Chea's since she was 4 weeks old in March 2015. She was rescued and we had already had an established relationship with Old Town from a previous cat so bringing her back was no question. The level of service is superior and the staff are all very compassionate. Charlie is a handful at her visits and the techs and Dr. Chea handle her with such sweet care. I couldn't ask for a better customer service and Quality Care that received for my yellow Labrador that got run over by a car 2 weeks ago they took my dog in quickly diagnosed him and suggested that they remove his leg and suture up his open wounds they were caring compassionate loving towards my animal and offered me pay options to offset my expenses for medical attention. From the beginning until discharge they treated me with care kindness respect and and solutions. Old Town Animal Hospital came highly recommended by a friend, so when I relocated to Katy and it was time to take Samson Aloysius in for his annual exam I called Old Town to make an appointment. I was recommended to Old Town by a coworker after being charged exhorbatent prices at another vet. Old Town has been wonderful! Their prices are reasonable for visits and for boarding. We have an elderly, diabetic cat and they, especially Patricia, care for her kindly and professionally. They know us by name and treat us like family. I picked up a stray around 6pm Katy Hockley Cutoff and when I searched online for Vet offices that were open, Old Town Animal Hospital was the only one near that was opened until 7pm. I called and the receptionist was very nice and told me to bring him in. When we arrived, we were greeted cheerfully and the waiting area was clean and modern looking. They saw the dog within 10 minutes and were very informative and patient with all of the questions I had. Used to really like this place. My family and I have had all of our pets (5 different animals ) here for quite some time and have never had any problems, that is until we actually needed their help. One of our family dogs (who is 15) became very ill and was not eating this past Saturday. We called them at 4 in the afternoon (they close at 5, so I assume they had plans) and were basically told that they had been very busy today and could not see my dog. We were told to "bring him Monday" and he could be seen then, which was very, very helpful. I went in there for the last time yesterday with my puppy to pick up his monthly heartworm and to let them know I would no longer be bringing my business to them. An older woman began to try and raise her voice at me, which I still don't understand why ? Another girl would not even look me in the eyes when I asked her if she could look me in the eyes and tell me she wouldn't have been upset if she were in my shoes. I proceeded to tell them that the way they handled it was unprofessional and I felt disrespected by how they could treat a member of my family. I understand no one wants to be at work later than they need to be, but you didn't open a retail store where you just lock up and go, especially when someone needs you. We found an emergency animal center (with no help from the vet office, contrary to what they may say) and luckily, they were able to alleviate the pain my dog was going through, but that clinic, as helpful as they were, doesn't know my dog, therefore making the whole process of analyzing him much longer. There is a fine line separating doing this job for the love of animals and the love of money and i think that they have crossed over and are just in it for the money at this point. But in conclusion, they will be more than happy to swipe your credit card and take your money as long as you don't inconvenience them or their plans. Read Less

My dog was brought to this vet for a fractured foot. They casted his foot which the cast came off a few days later. They then recasted it much tighter which caused his foot to swell under the cast. He was recasted a third time. Prior to putting on the third cast, my son who had taken him in, noticed a pressure sore formed from having the cast too tight. They recasted it anyway. Two days later and thank God, the cast came off again. The pressure sore is now so deep and open, it is down to the bone. NEVER should have been recasted! Bacteria thrives in a warm, moist, dark environment. This vet almost killed my dog and they refuse to take responsibility for their actions. It has now cost over $400 to take him to another vet for wound care. The ulcer is down to the bone and my dog may never be the same. Shame Shame Shame on you! Read Less

Do not go to this clinic! The care to your animals is below par! They always want to charge an arm and leg for everything they do. One doctor didn't even put his hand on my dog and told me he wanted bloodwork and xrays. You can't even examine my animals and then want 500$?! Not stepping another foot in that clinic!Read Less

My dog was told he was fine when i dropped off him there( the same day morning we just visit one of their vets and gave my dog some regular exam check but never mentioned any other problem except a little bit murmur). And the second day they told me i need to bring my 7 yr old babe to ER right away because he could barely breathe and they didn't know why it happened...just told me it just happened all of sudden.....And since my poor baby could only barely breathe after left that oxygen box...when i saw him my heart was bleeding.....they didn't give him any little oxygen bag or whatever had oxygen in it for him on the way to ER, or at least any dog ambulance choice for me to choose...it was less than 15 mins drive to ER...but with my babe's situation....he died in my arm..on the way to ER....when we arrived ER people tried their best and applied different medication and 20 mins CPA still didn't make him back to me.....it's really really too hard to believe what happened....he was fine and healthy and just found he might had a little bit murmur before i dropped him off for next day more tests....i dunno what they did to him or what type medicine they used on him.....he was gone all of sudden.....just couldn't stop my tears....I wish I didn't bring him there...... I have a cantankerous old dog, boxer mix, that wants to fight everybody. The staff works well with me bringing her in by letting me schedule early afternoon and using the comfort room to isolate my big mutt. I don't have to go into the lobby with her except to enter the building. If there are dogs in the lobby, I use the back door. I really appreciate the extra effort the staff takes. Read Less

The staff are amazing, my Labrador was very ill while i was overseas, and i had to liaise with team from abroad. They are compassionate individuals who gave me comfort while i was away (every dog owners nightmare). We doubted he would pull through however he did and i still have him today. Would highly recommend OTAH for any of your pet needs. They have recently been wonderful in helping me and my 14 yr old cat through bone cancer and her last days. I brought my dog here two times for a skin issue that was getting pretty bad. The first time I brought him in the vet looked at him for ten seconds and gave him a cortizone shot and antibiotics. As soon as the antibiotics were done he got bad again. I brought him back and they basically did the same thing but added a medicated bath. They said if that didn't work he was going to need to go to a canine dermatologist. It didn't work. Almost $500 gone. I brought him to low cost vet and they did a simple skin scrape. They prescribed some steroids and a lime solution to bathe him in. He started clearing up before the skin scrape test came back. It was a simple case of ringworm. The problem was already solved. $156 total for the steroids and lime bath. Just sayin... Read Less
