I have read all the other reviews and just want to clarify a few things. Dr. Bozeman is very sensitive to smells, and has a posted policy on her office wall. A lot of perfumes and fragrances contain endocrine disruptors so it’s something we should all be more conscious of! She is a great holistic vet, but not really a hand holder. I think she really shines in the area of end of life care. She has an old dog that she performs quality of life procedures on, so she’s very well versed. First of all I would like to say that the staff at the clinic is great! The doctor is another story!. I love the holistic approach but I can't deal with how rude the doctor is. She yelled at me because I wasn't showing her my dogs infected areas fast enough out in the hallway. I appreciate that they worked me in on a half day. I was never put in a room for the doctor to look at him. I paid good money for that visit!  On other visits she made remarks that his hair cut was awful! She talks to the tech but just rambles to me about his condition. I was putting up with the rude attitude but I don't appreciate being yelled at when I am paying you for a service! Read Less

Dr Bozeman is the cruelest person I've ever met. I went there with my sick 3 month old puppy. I had him wrapped in a towel just in case he had an accident. She REFUSED to exam him because he smelled of fragrance. It was from the fabric softener from the towel. She was yelling at me and told me I mad him sick... and to change fabric softener. She stood in the hall way and said he wasn't too bad and sent me on my way with an antibiotic I'll never use her again. I told her how hateful and rude she was. Amazing! My 12 year old pit was losing function of his back legs. After 6 visits my dogs is now galloping up the steps and fetches his toys like he use to! My old vet was taking euthanasia but my dog still had so much life in him, it's just his back was failing.. I wasn't ready to give up! We are THANKFUL we found our NEW veterinarian. she and her team came to irving a few years ago. i was not impressed with their attiude nor was i impressed with hers. i understand it was cold, but they chose to come.. they couldve cancelled.. they rushed me through the payment. practically grabbed my card out of my hand, threw his tag at me.. then when it was my turn,  she told me to "control your dog!"  my dog was just whining. maybe he knew something.. she never asked any questions ( how much does he weigh? is he allergic to anything? nothing) i would think that would be crucial information given that shes never treated my 6 pound chi before! gave him a shot.. an hour later my poor baby was so sick and lethergic.  i took him to a local vet. found out she had overvaccinated a 6 pound chi!  i was so pissed!  you couldve killed my dog!! thankfully the new vet gave him a antidote and after a day of rest he was fine!  i  called them the next day? they didnt seem to honestly care!  sorry animal doc you will never treat my dog!  vca gets my business! The Animal Doctor and her entire staff are wonderful! I definitely feel like I made the best decision I could have for my dog's health by coming here. If you are considering holistic care for your pet, I would fully encourage you to come here because I feel like I know more about my dog's health after one visit than I did after taking her to our old vet for 2 years. I have been wanting to go check out The Animal Doctor for some time now. I have moved my family into holistic and have wanted to move my animals as well. While, I did make a mistake by not mentioning when I made the appointment that I wanted a Holistic appointment, the staff were wonderful at being able to fit it in. My son's little dog has been having seizures, so I felt this was a good opportunity to go and check them out. I am very happy with the time Dr Bozeman spent with us and making sure (asking many times) if I had any questions. It was also very helpful that she had a staff member that takes notes while there that I received a copy of, so later when I was trying to remember what had been said and findings and such, I was able to look it up on the notes. Knowing holistic treatment is often not immediate, I am very happy with the plan we are moving with and comfortable with the care our little dog is receiving. I will definitely be moving all my animals over to The Animal Doctor. Read Less

My husband took our cat to this clinic once in August due to allergy problems. My cat excessively grooms to the point of ripping his feet open. They wanted to try various homeopathic methods to deal with his allergies, which I don't have a problem with. However, they refused to give him a steroid shot to deal with the excessive grooming. Instead, they preferred to wait to see if he would stop. They told us if he did not stop, we could bring him back for the shot and they would not charge another exam fee. With his foot not getting any better, we had to bring him back for a second visit. Th vet admitted he was chewing down to the bone and would "lose toes" from this issue, but she fought my husband when he demanded a steroid shot as we know they have worked in the past. Waste of money listening to this woman's dribble, joking about "not telling the state vet board"about whatever she is doing. I'm all for trying to figure out how to fight my cat's allergy problems with minimal medicine; however, I'm not going to let him lose limbs when a simple steroid shot will fix the problem. They also decided to charge for the visit anyway. Considering she mentioned doing several more visits before attempting a steroid shot, limb loss be damned, she probably saw dollar signs all over my poor cat. Read Less

This Vet is the worst!!! Her beside manner is that of a hillbilly and she has the tact of one as well.We brought our 12 yr old family dog to have her put to sleep as she was in alot of pain and really on her last days. We had kept a journal of here daily doings over the course of 3 months and watched our family member go down in comfort very quickly. It was a very hard decision to make. Our regular vet was out of town on a family emergency for a few days when we decided to bring her in so we went to this vet as it was just down the roar.This is where our whole sad experience with our family pet really got bad. This Lady Vet belittled us by saying saying that the dog had a good few weeks left, man-handled here twisting legs, turning her head fast...very rough with our sick animal. She then went on to question us about if we were just doing this so we would not have to care for our dog.....we both were in tears and she went on with this line of questioning. She did finally put our sweet dog down and afterward we felt like putting her down!!There are many fine vet clinics in the Arlington area. Alamo is our primary vet.Again The Animal Doctor in Kennedale is the worst...go to another vet. Read Less

My regular vet, who is a chiropractic vet, was off today and my baby Barkley was in need of an adjustment for his back.  I love my regular vet but the vet I saw at this clinic was amazing!  She knew exactly what to do and gave me some Standard Process medication for his ligament issue.  I was so impressed with the service!  She took time and advised me on some things I could do for his allergies.  I will definitely go back. This establishment is very reasonable with prices, and are prompt in appointments. Alternative medical practices are also a part of their practice with chiropractic and homeopathy two top priorities for their health and well being of animals. They also carry top lines in dog and cat foods. Dr. B takes extra time with each ""parent"" of the pet , explaining things. I think her examinations are a little above normal in her expertise of diagnostics. Read Less
