I would never consider doing any for of business with someone who acts the owner does, she is a disgrace to anyone who calls them self an animal lover. Also, this place is suspicious close to a surprisingly cheap and tasty Chinese restaurant...Lastly, TNR (trap, neuter and return) is stupid and ineffective, it still leaves non-native cats in the wild to decimate native wild life. Anyone who claims to love cats would own up to the truth and admit this and prefer that feral cats be humanly euthanized as opposed to returned to the wild where they'll kill endangered species and eventually become food for something else or loose a game of chicken with a vehicle. Kathy thinks that she is doing a great service to the community but that completely null and void when she goes around being ugly and attacking companies with negative reviews when she's never even done business with them. Her reasoning was because of their viewpoints and things they stand for makes them bias so their company deserves a negative review. Well Kathy.. here's your negative review. I don't like your personality or your views so your company must be a crapshoot.. Kathy is a feral human that needs to be spayed.. maybe you would become a calmer and sweeter person. Incredibly unstable woman who would rather lash out and try to hurt other rescuers, instead of focusing on the animals. If you happen to have a different opinion or viewpoint from her, she will do her best to slander you and your business. I also highly doubt she is a veterinarian since her degree is with ITT Petersen......please consider supporting other rescues/rescuers who are actually legit! Read Less

Remember, this is not a vet service. The people that runs this place will tell you what they think and what you are doing wrong/ right. If you leave a complaint about these people for rescuing abandoned, stray and feral cats, then adopt or at least foster the animals before you complain about the place. Read Less

When you read these lower reviews it seems to be those that are not true animal care givers. KATHY will tell you 100 % up front things you might be doing wrong that doesn't help reduce the feral comunity. Others being cheap skates bring house pets in saying they are stray or feral. People in this area used to have to drive to Austin1 to get strays spayed or neutered. They are able to do 40 to 50 animal surgeries in a day.....folks that doesn't leave time for smiley chit chat...... what a wonderful service this lady provides and the countless cats lives that have been saved.....let keep the kitties first in feels and not ours....this whole thing cslls for sacrificing time effort money... many wont commit I would take a bullet for Kathy anytime. Kathy has been helping our community cats for over 10 yrs. She dedicats her life to them. I have had several cats at the spay/ neuter clinic and I was always happy with the service. I have read the previous review from Shelly H. She has been upset over a comment??  which she clearly understood since she responded. Shelly claims she rescues cats but gives them away without being spayed/ neutered using a contract? Ok, what ticket will you write to people if they don't spay and neuter? And then started some sort of personal vendetta against Kathy by writing negatively on several pages and encouraging others to do so, including her rescue friend who is a breeder (Isabel). Once page it was 4 postings in one day. Kathy declined any further help, so did I. Wouldn't you? The purpose for yelp is to write a review on the business and not to start some high school facebook drama. And as a business, Kathy's Kitties is awesome. And now because someone didn't agree with what she said and is a friend of mine this is how she flexes her ego. Well I never received an apology and I could care less now. I worked with Kathy's Kittys a long long time ago on a feral spay/neuter project and have the deepest respect for people who try to provide services for low income folks. If you are a merely bargain hunter go elsewhere, if you are a prima donna, go elsewhere, but if you truly care that 5 million animals are euthanized every year because there are too many litters born to (stupid) pet owners and want to change that then low cost facilities such as Kathy's Kitties is the answer to your prayers. I have had over 1000 animals fixed at various clinics (I ran a rescue and now run a free spay/neuter program) the number of animals needing take home pain meds I could count on my fingers (not even including my toes). DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN CAT HERE! We had an appointment and they said they didn't have time for ours. Thanks for calling me and letting me know before I drove there. But I saw that as a sign because the facility was disguising, the staff was rude and the conditions they keep the cats in are sad. I wish I could have taken them all away and save them. I asked to see where they perform the surgery because I was skeptical that it was at all sanitary and I literally got a "hell no". I guess this is an ok place to bring strays since it's better than nothing but not a pet you really care about. Plus they don't even have pain medication to take home with you. Great place to get your feral cats fixed...+ Kathy is very knowledgeable about cats. She is very helpful and loves cats. I was able to get the traps from her and anything else that was necessary. She is a wonderful person and truly devoted to cats. Thank you Kathy and all her volunteers in our community. The feral cats belong to all of us and we all should help take care of them. To all of you that say Kathy is rude or short with you...let me explain something about Kathy...she is overworked and uses her own personal resources on cats...she gets stressed sometimes so give her a break.
