They are always quick to get me in for an appointment when I have a concern with one of my animals, and are very gentle with my dog who has been having a rough year. They are not the cheap "standard care" kind of clinic, but their prices are fair, they are very thorough, and kind. They are always about the animal's care above all else, and even provide me with cheaper options if they're available. (Such as a safe over-the-counter medicine for my cat with FHV to help with her stuffy noses. Since she gets sick everytime there is a rapid change in temperature.) I also enjoy the fact that they take Care Credit, so I don't have to stress when an emergency comes up with one of my fur babies. Read Less

A couple of months ago I had taken my dog here for a gash on his leg. They gave him a Cone as well as a round of antibiotics. I knew it was going to be pricey as all vet visits are but recently my dog had to go back to the vet for a much more severe situation. We stopped at the Killeen Veterinary Clinic first because that’s where we���ve taken him previously, but there was no doctor in so they referred us to Town and Country Veterinary Clinic and I am so glad they did! Not only did they see us right away even though we didn’t have an appointment, but the bill was substantially less than we originally thought it would be just based off of the last vet visit we had. This time he had multiple gashes that needed stitched, he was given anesthetic as well as a reversal, and given multiple antibiotics to take home all for under $350. Though I didn’t have a horrible experience last time at Killeen Veterinary Clinic but if you have time I would definitely consider calling around and price checking before you come here! Read Less

I travel 5 hours to take my Bella(maltipoo) to this Vet clinic, every time I go visit my family. She’s had done quite a few procedures there, everything always goes well. The Vet makes her feel safe and loved. They are the best and worth the travel, also the staff is super friendly and helpful. I know my baby is safe there. Read Less

Very friendly customer service and a hitch to put your dog leash on when you need both hands. The vet and assistants seem to genuinely love animals by the way they treat your pets. When I brought my rescue dog there she had a few ticks. They took them off and gave her medicine to make any they missed die for free. Read Less

They genuinely care about animals. The customer service is amazing and very professional. My doggie-son is taken care of by Dr. K. Jones. I highly recommend her and this place. Although, they should try to expand/ renovate. The lot to the right of their location would be great for a full service facility: Salon, boarding, daycare and spa. Read Less

We adopted our first puppy in Killeen, while my husband was stationed at Ft Hood. We brought Denver in when he was 2 mos old and about 9 lbs. Dr. Buckley incorrectly guessed his adult weight....he assumed he'd be 45lbs...then at his check-up a week later guessed he'd be closer to 65 lbs. Denver is now, at 2.5 yo, a whopping 95lbs!!! And that's because at adoption, Denver was so malnourished and sickly (we got through a really bad flea infestation, and a terrible cold), that you'd assumed he'd become a smaller dog. But Dr. Buckley guided us along his development and treatment, that he became the healthy dog he is today. We've since moved from Killeen, but wish we could keep Dr. Buckley with us wherever we went - because he is a physician we trusted and greatly appreciated. And we haven't found one like him since. If you are looking for compassionate, professional care for your pet, Killeen Vet Care is the place to go.  I have taken my dogs here off and on for about 20 years for everything from preventative care to major surgery.    Dr.  Buckley is amazing.   He is very thorough and takes the time to really work up the condition at hand.   I have always had a good experience here.    You can tell Dr.  Buckley and his staff really care about their "patients" and the relationship between the Doctor and techs is seamless.     I started going to another vet clinic closer to home in Belton, then decided to return to Dr.  Buckley.    I am sure happy I did.   The care your pet receives here is truly 5 star! They were great with my dog but when it came to the charges and the staff it was an awful experience for me ... when looking at my bill I was charged for unexplained services and they were high for allot of their services , then they said my shots my dog had received didn't count. And made me pay for more . When he has received all of his boosters, then the staff was mopey , rude, uninformative besides one single staff member I wish I got her name so she could get the credit she deserved , if you're looking for a reasonable vet that makes you feel at home and comfortable , I suggest making the 30 min drive to dr. rushing in lampasas , well worth the drive Read Less

Not to long ago our baby became sick, he was coughing and had a bacterial infection in his nose; I was super scared and worried because he was only 5 months at the time but as soon as I called them they had me check in and ready to be seen less then 30 min later! All the secretary staff, vet techs, and veterinarians are WONDERFUL! Special recommendation on Dr. Smonko; he was the one to look at my baby when he was sick and prescribed him the right medication that had him up and running like a champ within a week! Just make sure you listen to them about young puppies and dog parks! Don't pass this clinic up!!! Read Less

Always make sure your dog's water and food bowl are washed out with hot soap and water twice a month. It will benefit your animals more then you think. Always spay and neuter your pets. My oldest dog has teeth problems because they were not taken care of when she was getting older. I have had Kayla's teeth cleaned once and a few teeth taken out due to a major tooth infection. This can lead to heart problems. At 14 Kayla is going to be put under one last time to get her teeth cleaned and one big tooth that is so infected that needs to be pulled. She will have blood work and all kind of tests done to see if she handle the anesthetic. Kayla is partially blind due to cataracts and can't hear you if you exploded a bomb behind her My poor baby. My vet's name is Dr. Buckly at Killeen Veterinarian on the corner of Pershing Dr. and Old 440 St. in Killeen Texas 76549. I have seen a lot of vets in my life time but Dr. Buckly is a great man and in my opinion is one the top veterinarians in the country. I have been coming here for 12+ years and I love it. My pets were seen for everything from broken bones, to pregnancy to standard care for them. When my husky went into labor early one morning and I had one puppy stuck I called and October was awesome with step by step instructions and helped me stay calm wile my poor dog screamed loud into her and my ears. Pricy, yes... worth the extra money. I don't take my dogs to discount vets. Read Less

I took my dog to see Dr Jones on 3/1/2016 because she was limping.  Dr. Jones did an x ray on my dog's hip and said she had arthritis which is likely since she is 10 and a German Shepherd.  She also drew blood and gave her some medication.  All of this for $417.18.  When the dog didn't get any better, we took her to Aztec Vet on 3/23/2016 who also said she had arthritis and gave her some stupid Laser Therapy.  What neither of these incapable doctors failed to notice was the dog had a wound on her foot and it had gotten infected.  After taking her to a third vet, the vet did an xray of the dog's leg below the hip and found that the bone had literally been eaten away from infection.  We have to euthanize her the day after tomorrow.  When we took our dog to Dr. Jones, she was just starting to limp.  Had she done an xray of something other than her hip, assuming that the dog was old and had to have arthritis, she may have actually found the problem before the dog suffered excruciating pain and ultimately would lose her life.  My dog is a very special dog.  You see, she is a service dog for one of my adoptive children who suffers night terrors and the dog has been trained to handle these events.  Now, I must explain to a traumatized child that her hero and best friend won't be with her any longer because of the inadequate care provided at Killeen Vet.  Thanks a lot and shame on you. Don't go there. My dog had dental work and can no longer bark, plus he snores now. His throat is messed up from the vet sticking the tube down his throat. Way too many teeth were pulled during cleaning. There are also unusual identical scars in his ears as if some type of instrument was used to pin him down. I've since found out the instruments are called leads, which many vets don't use. Incompetent, money hungry, sadistic quacks. Irreparable damage to my baby. Don't go there. I wish we hadn't. We have gone here for many years now. Today we had to make the heart wrenching decision to put our cat, Precious, to sleep. He was almost 17 and very loved. I drive an hour to take my 4 dogs and 1 cat to KVC, wouldn't trust anywhere else with my "children". The staff is always polite to me as well as treat my animals like family. The doctors always take time to explain everything to me, allowing me to feel at ease that my animals are receiving top notch care. The clinic is supremely clean and organized when we walk in and the wait time is never long. All in all a wonderful experience every time, I recommend it to anyone! Read Less

I have a Yorkie who gets really mean when having stuff done (nail trims shots etc..) and they were able to trim her nails without any trouble. They offered to take me back to the treatment area to be with her while they did it which i really liked, but declined because she gets more aggressive if im there while she is being worked on. Killeen Veterinary Clinic has taken care of my pets since from their very first vet visits and I have always been pleased with the level of care and their customer service. Everyone I have encountered has been very professional, courteous and competent. When my cat had an incident involving some accidentally applied dog flea treatment, Dr. Figueroa knew exactly how to help and was very thorough in treating him, to include calling the manufacturer of the flea treatment to talk to their staff vets.
