Walked in at 1130 to an empty clinic and was turned away with a puppy who was stung in the face by something that had half his face swollen. Can not understand how a veterinarian clinic can turn a sick puppy away so quickly. It took them less than a minute to tell me to, politely, go to an emergency after hours clinic because they were closing soon. Lady at the desk did not even get up to ask to Doctor. Maybe it’s their policy to turn you away at 1130. Then they should close at 11:30. Two other clinics I called, who close at 1200, told me I was welcomed to come on in. They both said anyone inside by 1200 noon will be seen and treated by they doctor.

I can't believe how wonderful this place is! The staff is phenomenal and so caring. We met on one of the worst days of my pet parent life, my Teddy was passing from cancer and it was time to let him go. The staff gave us as much time with him as we needed, (and they were closing the office and on a Saturday)and was so understanding. Afterwards, we received a card with the staff's signatures letting us know how much it meant to them that they could care for our Teddy and wish our family the best. How awesome and loving!

Had an amazing experience with the clinic. My dog was very sick and the vet came in in a Sunday and pretty much saved my dogs life. Had I waited one more day my dog may have not made it. Thank you so much for treating my dog as what he is part of my family. And after he got out of the hospital I received a phone call to check up on Mikey... how sweet.

Called and made an appointment today for my dogs to get their bordatella vaccinations and a nail trim for my bigger dog. I was excited because of its walking distance from my house and was told over the phone that the shot did not require an initial appointment. Essentially, this is the only requirement, besides making sure all rabies vaccinations are up to date, to board your pet. We went on out nice 20-minute walk and arrived with time to spare to find out I was given bad information over the phone. Both dogs needed and initial $31 exam to ensure they were healthy enough to receive the shot (not a standard practice; veternarian preference). To their defense, they called twice while we walked the dogs and my phone was in my pocket on "Do Not Disturb". Regardless, it was upsetting because you'd figure all employees would know the two (not three) services offered that don't require an intial exam (nail trimming & de-worming). If we could have knocked this out today, I could have transferred all medicald records and made both dogs regulars from here on out, but I guess we'll just keep driving onto post for now. On a positive note, I was able to keep my cool because the receptionist was very nice and put all the blame on the Vet lol.

I was only in the area a few days when I needed to take my dogs to a vet. I visited another vet in the area, but my gut feeling was to try a different place. I stopped by Stagecoach to chat. I was greeted with smiles and I immediately felt comfortable with the office staff. My small dog was treated for an ear infection/allergies, along with yearly shots. At a later date, I had to make the decision to let me older dog pass over the rainbow bridge. The staff was very professional and "held my hand" thru the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

When I called to make an appointment as a new patient, Shelby referred to my dog as my baby, which he is, and I just knew they were going to take great care of us. Everyone from the front desk to the vet and all in between were so friendly, gentle, and patient with my baby. They explained everything going on and worked with my budget to figure out a game plan that would work financially as well as succeed in healing my baby. I even received a follow up phone call to check in on my baby and an offer for further help if the medication wasn't being administered easily! Love Stagecoach and confident they will be my vet for a long time!!

The staff and Dr. Matropietro were really amazing. I brought my dog and cat in for routine annual vaccinations, and the doctor and tech were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient with my little guys. The cost was much lower than any other place I've been to in the area. I could not recommend a place more.

I don't know that I've ever been as immediately happy with a vet as I was here. I'm in the army and move around every couple of years--I've had a lot of vets. Dr. Mastropietro listened to me--genuinely listened--and did not recommend any unnecessary tests just because this was her first time seeing my cat, as so many of my vets have done in the past. The exam was reasonably priced, and I am so happy and relieved to have found such a good home for my cats.

If you are looking for a vet I would definitely recommend going here. We got stationed in Fort Hood from NY and decided to give them a try here. After working as a Vet Tech in NY for 8 years (both emergency and regular practice) and my husband also working in an animal hospital for quite a few years before the army, we have pretty high standards for our veterinarians. We saw Dr. David Smonko and he was super nice, informative and gentle with our dogs. The hospital was very clean and well taken care of and both the girls we interacted with were polite and in good moods. Prices are very fair and we will be going here as long as we live in Texas. :)

So I have worked professionally with dogs for quite awhile so I am quite picky when it comes to vets. I love the vet and all the techs at stagecoach!
They didn't talk down to me like most vets do and were able to answer all questions I had. They went above and beyond dealing with my dogs who are both quite the handful. They're prices are very good compared to the other vets in Killeen. They were able to see my two dogs the same day as well. They will definitely be my new regular vet.
I've never knew the previous vet so I can't compare, but I was in the lobby as they were explaining they can no longer honor what a previous owner did, and they were so polite while explaining the changes. I've been in situations where I worked with dogs and changes caused less of the "freebies" and customers will never be happy about it.

The vet is extremely friendly and she really seems like she loves her jobs. They have new products and treatments that arent overpriced. Its a small but amazing vet office. I love it there

I was only in the area a few days when I needed to take my dogs to a vet. I visited another vet in the area, but my gut feeling was to try a different place. I stopped by Stagecoach to chat. I was greeted with smiles and I immediately felt comfortable with the office staff. My small dog was treated for an ear infection/allergies, along with yearly shots. At a later date, I had to make the decision to let me older dog pass over the rainbow bridge. The staff was very professional and "held my hand" thru the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

When I called to make an appointment as a new patient, Shelby referred to my dog as my baby, which he is, and I just knew they were going to take great care of us. Everyone from the front desk to the vet and all in between were so friendly, gentle, and patient with my baby. They explained everything going on and worked with my budget to figure out a game plan that would work financially as well as succeed in healing my baby. I even received a follow up phone call to check in on my baby and an offer for further help if the medication wasn't being administered easily! Love Stagecoach and confident they will be my vet for a long time!!

The staff and Dr. Matropietro were really amazing. I brought my dog and cat in for routine annual vaccinations, and the doctor and tech were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient with my little guys. The cost was much lower than any other place I've been to in the area. I could not recommend a place more.

I don't know that I've ever been as immediately happy with a vet as I was here. I'm in the army and move around every couple of years--I've had a lot of vets. Dr. Mastropietro listened to me--genuinely listened--and did not recommend any unnecessary tests just because this was her first time seeing my cat, as so many of my vets have done in the past. The exam was reasonably priced, and I am so happy and relieved to have found such a good home for my cats.

If you are looking for a vet I would definitely recommend going here. We got stationed in Fort Hood from NY and decided to give them a try here. After working as a Vet Tech in NY for 8 years (both emergency and regular practice) and my husband also working in an animal hospital for quite a few years before the army, we have pretty high standards for our veterinarians. We saw Dr. David Smonko and he was super nice, informative and gentle with our dogs. The hospital was very clean and well taken care of and both the girls we interacted with were polite and in good moods. Prices are very fair and we will be going here as long as we live in Texas. :)

So I have worked professionally with dogs for quite awhile so I am quite picky when it comes to vets. I love the vet and all the techs at stagecoach!

So I have worked professionally with dogs for quite awhile so I am quite picky when it comes to vets. I love the vet and all the techs at stagecoach!
They didn't talk down to me like most vets do and were able to answer all questions I had. They went above and beyond dealing with my dogs who are both quite the handful. They're prices are very good compared to the other vets in Killeen. They were able to see my two dogs the same day as well. They will definitely be my new regular vet.
I've never knew the previous vet so I can't compare, but I was in the lobby as they were explaining they can no longer honor what a previous owner did, and they were so polite while explaining the changes. I've been in situations where I worked with dogs and changes caused less of the "freebies" and customers will never be happy about it.

I've been to two different vets since I got stationed at hood and stagecoach is by far the best. They are always on time, I even get seen early some days. The vet is extremely friendly and she really seems like she loves her jobs. They have new products and treatments that arent overpriced. Its a small but amazing vet office. I love it there
