Dr. Ray is the most wonderful, caring, compassionate kind and truly an animal lover I have ever had the joy to meet. This has been my vet for years when I have been home. I was an OTR driver and had to have my dog seen out on the road for many years. Town n country always kept his records neat and tidy. I brought my dog in on Monday for severe itching and hair loss. We got a same day appointment and didn't have to wait too long to be seen. The staff was very helpful considering I had an anxious almost 50 pound dog and an off the wall 3 year old. They diagnosed my dog and prescribed meds that have helped him immensely in just 2 days. They also went out of their way to explain everything that was going on with him and how to help him get better. Yes it was expensive but they prescribed 4 meds and did a skin scraping so considering all they did I would call it average or maybe below average price. Would highly recommend. Read Less

I wish I could give more stars!!!! Dr. Ledger is amazing. We have a sick pup who is there now, and has been admitted to their hospital. Dr. ledger took the time to throughly look him over and help us. He was genuinely concerned for our baby. He was so through and detailed and explained to us exactly the treatment plan and his goals for our pup. Even calling go give us an update. They truly do treat your animal as if they are their own. I took my little cocker spaniel to Dr. Ray with bad ear infections. She was very sick when I brought her for her first visit. My dog & I were treated well & Dr. Ray & his staff took very good care of Heidi, my dog. She was given 2 scripts & medicine was put in her ears. The next week we came back in & he did a follow-up on the situation. My lil dog's ears are well now, thanks to this attentive vet. I'd recommend this veterinary service very highly. The care and concern that the people at Town & Country veterinarian show is a unique experience in this day and age. Moose and Tony would never be taken anywhere else, because I truly believe that they care about their health and well being. From the people at the front to the wonderful Dr Ledger we love them all. Moose is a truly, and I laughingly say this, a sensitive dog that has had some very unusual issues with his health. And I have never felt that they did not listen to me and explore all alternatives until they found a way to deal with his issues. When Moose was very ill and had to spend time in the doggie hospital, I will never forget Dr. Ledger sitting down in the middle of the floor and giving him hugs and kisses. Won my heart that day. They take us seriously and heal our fur babies to the best of their abilities, and I mean they go to the last mile and then some! I am so very happy with this Vet Clinic and Dr. Austin Ledger. Switched vets after being a client with another local vet. Spent thousands over the years for care at this particular clinic and found after some time that I could get pet meds online much cheaper. My Vet at the time refused to approve the script and explain why. Loss of $$$. So, I researched and found Town and Country. Brought my dog in for an exam and Dr. Ledger not only agreed to authorize the cheaper pet meds online, but also stated he would match the price. So changed my Vet and am giving him my business. They are also warm, caring, knowledgeable. When I brought my dog in, he knew his entire health record. Didn't ask...why are you here and what can we do for you and your dog. Love em! Read Less

We also have an English bulldog and last night his teeth started bleeding very badly, so this morning we called and asked if there was anything available for him to be seen and they were booked up till Tuesday and as we were setting up the appt, the front desk asked thorough questions about his condition and said we could be squeezed in today. I was worried we would have to go all weekend with him like that but I'm happy to say that's not the case. We saw Dr. Ledger and he was so caring and compassionate. I know we came in at the last minute and held him up longer on his day but he didn't mention anything about it. He took care of my baby and made sure we got to the root of the problem before we went home today, and for that I am extremely thankful. I have just recently moved out here and haven't found a local veterinarian to go to. I had an emergency, my dog had gotten into to some yard pesticide and I was extremely worried if I needed to take her in ASAP. I called one vet who just waved me off, and I wasn't happy with that answer and called Town & Country. The reception was extremely diligent and took notes to ask the vet. Immediately, Dr. Jacobs gets on the phone and gives me his cell phone to send him a picture of the active ingredients. He then called me back and personally told me, I had nothing to worried about. I took my cat in yesterday because I was worried, Google is not always your friend, but it made me take her in. I was prepared for the worse, and prayed for the best. It wasn't anywhere as serious as I thought it was, and as a walk in, I was seen within an hour. My go to vet and switched on me and their prices going up with each switch, so I brought her here. One of my dogs gets nervous so they let us wait in a room instead of the waiting area. Have not seen a vet who hasn't treated my animal like their own. The entire staff is amazing! This is the absolute BEST veterinary practice in killeen. They are compassionate and are not money hungry. I took my cat here for a urinary blockage and explained to them that we didn't have a lot of money. They didn't add any unnessary procedures and our bill was reasonable. The veterinary center is adjacent to the high school.  One definitely needs to time your visits when the last bell rings as traffic picks up.  My wife and I have never had the dog seen by the vet since she is healthy.  However, we leave her at the boarding where she is cared while we are on our trips.  They provide food and take her outside for her potty business and free air.  My only negative is that we can not pick her up on sundays, but then again, a majority of boarding centers are not open on sundays.  Anyway, the receptionists and assistants are very helpful and provide snacks for the pets. I am Very pleased with this Veterinarian establishment.  We called/checked out many vets in and around my area for my puppy and this is the one we picked. They are not cheap nor too pricey but with money well spent comes Great service, great techs, and a Great vet(Dr.Jacobs)..Services that i have received for my puppy have been shots,meds, and ear cropping..will highly recommend them to anyone ....2 thumbs up!!
