Started taking my dogs here about 8 months ago. And I’m glad I made the switch. The staff is very nice and helpful! LOVE this animal hospital! Only place I’ve gone to for my fur babies. Highly knowledgeable and professional, friendly, prompt, and totally trust them with my girl, Stevie. Very disappointed with this clinic and groomers. Took my 13 year old dog to get groomed and when I picked him up, he looked awful. Looked dirty and still had long hair , when I specifically said he needed a haircut. This was our first time there. They lack providing information to customers regarding updating vaccines and pricing. They will refuse to groom your pet if you don’t pay for it. I understand processes and rules , however, as a company YOU MUST notify people ahead of time. They don’t work with you and do not understand if you can not locate a previous records. I will not bring my pet here anymore and will let everyone I know about how awful the groomer was and the front desk people who do not know how to explain anything properly. I was refunded my grooming fee but spent 200+ dollars to “properly” vaccine him before they could even groom him. Very frustrated. Read Less

We have cats and have been taking them to VitalPet for many, many years now. Prior to changing the name to Vital Pet it was called Kings Crossing Animal Hospital and believe me over the years the Vets and staff and techs have been absolutely wonderful. Sometimes when we have a sick baby we will wait until they can see her. It's worth the wait. Everyone at this place are so kind and compassionate and they truly understand that our pets are our "babies". I would not go anywhere else. Currently we have a male and a female cat and they are both rescue cats. We never adopted rescue cats before. It is quite an experience. Vital Pet is always clean and that is always important to us. Their Veterinarians are just wonderful. Some of them have retired or left the practice since we have been going there so long. You can't go wrong with taking your precious pets to this place. VitalPet at Kings Crossing has simply been amazing! I rescued a stray kitten, and after living with a "foster mom", this baby ended having a ton of issues. The staff worked with me to figure out everything necessary to get this little baby as healthy as can be. The staff is helpful, they have helped me through some vaccination reviews when trying to board my dog out of the area at a kennel that had some unique requirements, and, in general, they help with anything I need. The veterinarians are thorough, professional, and take the time to educate you about your pets health, and about any medications going home with you. I recommend them to people who love their pets! Have had my newly adopted rescue in 3 times in the past couple of weeks, for exam, vaccines, grooming and for treatment. She is the third dog we have entrusted to their care. The veterinary staff are all very kind and obviously care about their patients. Support staff are friendly and helpful. Grooming staff is excellent as well. We began about 16 years ago with the wonderful Dr. James Kelly at another location. When he moved to Kings Crossing, we moved. The doctors at VitalPet Kings Crossing know what they are doing and they have even more heart than knowledge. Dr. Kelly retired and our going-on-17 lab, Slick, is still happily rolling along. I give much of that credit to the medical staff he has been serviced by. Our other senior pooch, Mardi, prefers Dr. Johnson - who wouldn't? And we love, love, love assistant Jenny Hitt. We took a chance based a flyer we recieved in the mail 2 years ago in a welcome to the nieghborhood packet, when we were relocated from NJ. So glad we did! We fell in love with the care that our fur baby recieved. From the friendly front desk to the vets, to the groomer and boarders, we couldn't ask for a better expierence. When our fur baby was bit at a local dog park, the staff was beyond wonderful. The front desk detected how upset I was from the moment they answered the phone and began to calm my nerves and once we got him into the office they continued to show compassion not only to our dog, but to us as the owners.We strongly recommend this practice to all of my husbands co workers who are still being relocated! Kings Crossing saved our pets life. Our 10 year old chihuahua developed a fatty tumor on her side that tripled in size over the weekend causing her not to be able to walk. On Monday morning we took her to our vet who stated there was nothing he could do. We drove straight to Kings Crossing and they removed the tumor and saved our dogs life. Dr. O just took care of my dog, Rufus, a dachshund. She went over and beyond to get him to get him to the care he needed as he had a back issue that needed surgery. It was during the holidays, and she worked so hard to help my boy get to a hospital that could care for him. I love Kings Crossing Animal Hospital. I first brought my puppy to them when I first got him for a wellness checkup. He was GREAT. A few weeks later he started having diarrhea over the course of a few days and it made me nervous. I couldn't afford a visit at the moment, so they worked with me and allowed me to bring in a sample to run to figure out what it was. He had hookworms, one half pill later and he was fine. 6 Months later and he is a happy and healthy puppy that I wouldn't trade for anything. I wish I could give this place twenty stars. I was having a hard day, taking care of my mother's dog, who was having some medical trouble. My wife called the wrong location to make an appointment, and I got there and was a bit irritated (I showed up without an appointment). The woman behind the counter was SO SWEET and patient with me. They made time to have a look at my puppy and were unbelievably gracious. This is where my mother will take her pup from now on. The vet tech, veterinarian, and person behind the counter were all extremely helpful and caring to our dog. Do yourselves a favor, and head to this place. They will take care of you. I have used Kings Crossing for almost 16 years. I have taken two dogs there for treatment and maintenance care. Both dogs were groomed there. When my sweet little maltoodle had to be put to sleep, they were so kind and supportive... We never boarded her because she had been abused and we felt it best to hire pet sitters. But our second poodle mix is able to be boarded and we are happy to utilize Kings Crossing, particularly since they have her medical records. I prefer Doctor Kelly, but we have seen other vets too. All are great. The vet techs are kind and professional. I would recommend them to anyone! Read Less

King's Crossing treated my 25 year old dog and did an emergency surgery for $1200 that other vets were asking $2500 to even $6000 dollars for. Banfield who I was supposed to get discounts for being in a wellness plan wanted $5000. Then they did not even have a vet qualified to do the surgery at several Houston locations. I am from NC and was traveling in Texas . Dr. Bumgardner ( forgive if mis-spell) did the surgery on MeMe and she made 100% recovery. Many vets were were worried because MeMe was so old but she came through well. I made a follow up appointment 3 months later when I was traveling in Texas again because I felt this clinic saved my dogs life (no doubt) and we wanted to spend our money there. In addition when I returned to the clinic for the follow up 3 months later , THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ANYMORE PAYMENT other than the original $1200 we paid for the surgery months before. I see some negative reviews on here and I can't speak for other people but I can say this clinic got the surgery needed for my dog into an affordable range and without a doubt saved her life. I don't know about routine vet bills but in my case all I know is this facility saved my dogs life and she is alive today because of this. That speaks volumes and says all I think needs to be said. Very dissapointed in this vet clinic. I have been taking my animals here for more than 5 years. Since their expansion, things have been going downhill. Wait time to get in a room was nothing. It was the wait time to see the vet(I had an appointment)that was 45 minutes and that's after I went out and asked how much longer it was going to be. I set my appointment with a specific vet and I got another vet. I told her I set an appointment with a specific vet. She told me that the vet I set an appointment with doesn't even work on the day I had the appointment. The people at the front desk had called me to tell me they were running a special on blood panels for cats so, I brought my cat up and they told me the senior blood panel wasn't discounted it was only a regular blood panel. Wasted appointment and a trip. On another occasion, I special ordered food. They called and told me it was in. I called back to confirm and it was the wrong food. I had to wait almost another week for it. It's obvious that the main problem lies with the front office staff. I understand they want to be friendly but, carrying on long conversations while there is a line of people is not professional. I always knew this vet clinic was pricey but, I always thought the quality of service my vet gave was worth the cost. Not anymore.Read Less

Be ready for hidden fees and poor communication. The people are nice and the facility is seemingly new but the communication is laking and the fees come out of nowhere. The checkup was rife with charges and shots. The teeth cleaning for one small dog was over $500. The dogs were left alone from 5;00 in the evening until the next morning. Poop all over their blankets when we picked them up! And don't expect any of your calls returned.Read Less
