Despite a mix-up in the mail likely caused by Hurricane Harvey, which delayed receiving my cat’s cytology results for a week, the staff and especially Dr. Isom appeared to be sincerely concerned with my cat’s lymphoma and although that diagnosis was beyond their scope to treat, Dr. Isom quickly and without haste contacted the specialist to whom we were referred and got us in at their earliest time. In addition, after her condition deteriorated several days after Dr. Isom’s initial exam, he contacted the specialist personally and was able to reschedule our appointment three days sooner than for what it was initially scheduled. He showed genuine compassion for what our family is going through and we sincerely appreciate him and his staff’s efforts. Read Less

I'm not big on negative reviews but people need to know....our Rottie, a very sweet non-aggressive girl, started limpinge and went off food. We took her in and without an examination, he immediately diagnosed her with hip dysplasia. He would not listen, insisted he was right, and said he needed to sedate her and do x-rays, plus keep her for a full day....this would have cost me over $500.I took her to Dan McBride's office in Burnet and with one quick exam by Dr. Atkinson and Dr. Kyle, it was discovered she had a torn ligament over the knee cap. No x-ray or sedation...just an exam. We have a repair surgery next week.Isom never touched our girl and charged over $100 for the appointment. There used to be an older gentleman there who was very good but now he is gone. I don't trust a vet who doesn't examine the patient. Since when did veterinarIan's get in it just for the money????Just saying, McBride's in Burnet was AMAZING...and the appointment cost us $60. That's a REAL vet. Read Less

So I took my tea cup Chihuahua into see the vet on Wednesday, he did an X-Ray and said he believed she was further along then I thought she was and I should expect puppies very soon... Well Saturday around 5pm she was acting different and I noticed she was shaking more than normal and her belly would tighten up... I thought that was her pushing.. I'M NOT A VET AND HAVE NEVER WITNESSED A DOG GIVE BIRTH... So she continued this behavior. Talked to her Vet Clinic yesterday and was told I needed to bring her in for a C-Section, was scheduled for surgery at 3pm but it was going g to cost $800.00 to $1,000.. I told them I didn't have the money so they didn't do surgery. Thinking she's in labor and can't have them on her own, I tried everything I could think of... Still no puppies.. This morning I get a phone call from Dr.Sealer who tells my I'm being negligent and allowing my dog to suffer and tells me the responsible thing to do is to surrender my dog to the shelter so they can pay for her surgery. He seriously made me feel like the worst human on earth... I took her to another local Vet Clinic and found out SHES NOT IN LABOR AT ALL!!!! He never even mentioned doing another exam, just told me they had blocked of time at 3 for surgery..Her milk things haven't even come in.. The tightening is due to her being tiny with 3 babies inside her... So of course I called the jerk and he first blamed me and said I was the one who said she was in labor... Again.. IM NOT A VET, I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT LABOR LOOKS LIKE.. I told him that and he said "you've had kids right" ummmm seriously?? How is that even relevant?? Then while I was talking he started laughing says "Your right, your not educated enough to make that call" and hangs up on me.. I called back and asked for all her files and I get hung up on again. Guess they got caller ID cause now they won't answer my called unless I block it... Definitely not ever going back there. He was not only a bad veterinarian but he is a horrible person.. I've been with this clinic for a few years but I will never go back. Read Less

For those of you who might be considering using these people. We took our dog in for a routine dental cleaning and they totally destroyed my faith in them. Her neck was bruised and swollen and she had pockets of fluid in her neck and legs, like a water balloon. I called after hours to see what to do and they don't do anything for you after hours, they refer you to someone in KILLEEN! I left 2 messages and an email. The next morning they called back but it was not in reference to my messages , just a routine call. They all seemed to think it was no big deal. "Let us know if it gets worse" WHATEVER. You people will NEVER touch my dog again! I believe it was a Dr.Crouch who did the procedure. I am not sure. Regardless , this vet has seen the last of my dog and my money, which is all I think they care about anyway. (the money) If I could include a picture here I would. Her neck was PURPLE! She only weighs 4 pounds. I don't think they had to strong arm her. They obviously have someone that is lacking in care or consideration. Read Less
