The staff nevered answers questions. You wait for hours just to see them then wait some more. I had to put my dog down today and when they where doing that because I couldn’t afford it. She said they could have take here in to take care of her. With no charge I don’t understand why they didn’t say that earlier.... I decided to give this animal care place a try since I read really good reviews here. The fact that they do not have an appointment system in place and rather "first come first serve" created chaos in their office. My mom and I brought my dog an hour early and there were already people there with their dogs. My mom stood in line while I walked my dog, in the school across the street, while we waited for the place to open. Once the place opened, my mom came outside the office to let me know to come in. When I walked into the office, there was a lady with two dogs that started to bark at my dog causing a raucous in the waiting area. An assistant came out saying if my dog snapped at the two dogs and I said no. He came out a few minutes later and brought a muzzle to put on my dog. I told him again he didn't start it and came back again to tell me that the Vet asked me to wait outside the office with my dog. It seemed that I was the one that was called out and not the other pet owner. Long story short, this chaotic mess could have been prevented if they would have people call to set appointments in lieu of the first come first serve mess. Instead, you had a waiting room crammed full of people and dogs which is very unprofessional, not good customer service and certainly unhealthy for the dogs. Whole in and out visit was abut 45 minutes not bad but I also was the 3rd person in arrived around 8:38 am. Price was great got what I asked for no hidden fees or unnecessary tests. Employees there are nice and friendly. Yes would definitely recommend this vet. Hopefully all my upcoming visits as pleasant as this one Read Less

Saturdays get super packed. Was given a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour. I was actually waiting there for 2 and a half hours. they close for business at 11 am. by the time i was out it was 12:30 pm. I got there around 9:20 and was seen at 12. Once i was inside I was there for about less than 20 minutes because of a test they did that took 10 minutes. but other than the wait time the prices were okay. Doctors Martin are always very busy, unlike any of the other vets in town. There's a reason for that. They take care of their patients and will help pet parents any way they can. All of my pets have been seeing them for 6 years, since they took over the practice from the previous owner. Read Less

Best Veterinarian in town. Ive taken my dogs here for years. The staff is very helpful and super gentle with our pets. They answer any doubt you may have. Give you as many suggestions as they can on how to treat your pet. Seriously the only place I trust to get my pet treated. Read Less

I myself am a store manager & have worked with customer service all my life. I have never complained about customer service anywhere for any reason, because I usually understand the reason behind certain bad situations, but the "service" I received from the receptionist at this facility was PETRIFYING! I can not believe such person works in customer service, & nevertheless with ailing animals. My puppy got extremely sick on a Friday night. I stayed up all night trying to comfort him as best as I could, praying he would make it over night so that I could take him to the vet in the morning. I usually take my pets to another facility, but they are closed on the weekend, so I researched online for a clinic that would be open, and came across this one and noticed it opened only in the morning & closed at noon. After an extremely long night with no sleep, I took my puppy in my car and headed towards their office. I was driving and decided to call to get more detailed directions,since I had never been there. It was 11am & the internet Ad says they close at 12pm. The women answered & I asked her for directions and told her that I was on my way with my DYING DOG, and she REFUSED to give me directions because that they stop taking patients at 11am. I told her AGAIN, that I was already in their neighborhood,but just needed final directions, and I pleaded to her to please allow my DYING DOG to get signed up. She still did not give me directions. I said fine and asked her if by any chance she knew of another facility that would be open. She responded with "nope." I explained to her how extremely unhelpful she was & I recommend that whoever is in charge of their website, should note that they stop taking patients an hour before closing. I had to park my vehicle to research another vet office where their website says they close at 2 & guess what? THEY HONOR THAT TIME & STOP TAKING PATIENTS AT 2. Makes sense to me. I read all these great reviews about the vet, too bad I didn't get to meet him. Your office staff needs training on sensibility. It is also sad to know that as I spoke about this incident with a family member, she told me she experienced a very similar situation with this "lady" at your front desk. I highly recommended Dr. Martin. My family and I have been taking all my pets with Dr. Martin for many years. Above all vets, he is the most excellent veterinarian doctor in Laredo and most knowledgeable in pet care. He is compassionate, caring, understand and extremely smart. He has very knowledgeable staff and I honestly trust him with all my pets. Doctor Martin is excellent listener he takes his time to hear out your concerns and makes you feel reassured. I have been to other clinics in town and this one is by far the best! The staff is friendly, they are extremely fast in getting you in, and the costs are reasonable! Love this clinic, I highly recommend it!Read Less
