I got a puppy yesterday as a gift for Mother’s Day. I am currently keeping her quarantined from the rest of my pets until she has her first veterinarian visit. I called today to inquire about pricing and appointment availability. The first available appointment to see a veterinarian at this location was 16 days from today!!!! I was even willing to pay more money because of the convenience of this location but 16 days until an appointment is available is completely unacceptable. I took our 10 year old beagle to AKPH this morning after he started refusing food a few days ago. Dr. Mike and his staff are topnotch. They genuinely care about the pets and the owners. I was a little emotional while I was there and 3 of the staff members stopped to give me a hug. I'm sure this doesn't sound like a huge deal, but it meant the world to me. Dr. Mike even called me at work to give me an update on Jackson's condition. I will only take my pets to Animal Kingdom from here on. Great people. Read Less

Everyone was so helpful and friendly, including the people in the waiting room. I had my hands full with a baby, the dog, the dog's file, diaper bag, and my purse. Everyone in the waiting area helped me by holding my stuff and watched the baby for me while I loaded everything into my car...so sweet! Then the vet assistant brought out my dog's medicine to my car once it was ready, he cut the pills in half that required half pill dose! Rates were reasonable as well!! Love love this place!! I love Animal Kingdom. Dr. Mike is so caring and knowledgeable. His staff is always helpful and compassionate to you and your pet. I have taken my potbelly pig, 2 cats and my dog to see Dr. Mike. He treats you and your pet like family. Most vets come into the room and hurry through but not Dr. Mike, when it is your time to see him you have his complete attention and focus. My poor baby girl was in bad condition this morning and Dr. Mikel and his staff took their time to run tests and rule out what was going on with her. The staff was so helpful with my baby Levi. He was in really bad shape. Not only did they get him in right away, but they were so caring and understanding with how upset I was. I took my sweet little bird in here without a scratch on him to get his nails trimmed, when they returned him to me he looked in pain, a huge bruise on the wing and his nails has started to bleed where they cut him and then tried to wash him off but left him wet. He dried up now and half shows where they just threw water over the blood and didn't even properly bathe him of the blood. The purpose of going to a vet is to not cause harm to your animal, they are supposed to be trained to not make a bird "BLEED", my bird must of been held down roughly by someone to now have a huge bruise on his wings and bloody nails! This place does not know what they are doing, if you want your bird to be taken care of or be safe DO NOT GO HERE! The doctor completely disregarded when I said my bird came in healthy with no bruises, and said he did come in like that. My husband was with me and was so overwhelmed with frustration couldn't even respond. This place used a DREMEL took on a little cockatiel bird, this is not right. This place is not practicing safe measures with birds, and I need to pursue this matter. My bird is now hurt, with bruises and his nails and bleeding and extremely terrified. Read Less

I only gave one star because there is no option for 0 stars! My dog has seizures and takes meds for it. They say he is supposed to have blood work every 6 months but they always fill the prescription with no refills. And when the pharmacy calls them to get it approved, they call me and say I have to have blood work again. That's like 120+ every time. And the last time they said they had to muzzle him (which caused him to have a seizure) and that cost extra. He has never had to be muzzled! There is no point ever to have an appointment cause you wait at the very least an hour after the appointment time. They tell me different times that he needs to come in for blood work and could never get it straight. In the morning? In the evening? 4-6 hours after he takes his morning meds? An hour before he takes his evening meds? Who knows! And there is a different "vet" every time I go in and they all have different opinions on how much he needs to take and when he needs to get blood work done. Get your sh!t together!!! Read Less

There was nothing I liked about this vet office! I feel I was extremely overcharged and the staff could care less about people or animals! I will never step foot in this place again and I hope word gets out so others don't get taken advantage of! Absolutely horrible experience ask the way around! The only vet that I feel is qualified, caring and honest at this place is Dr. Mike who unfortunately was unavailable at time of my visit. The rest of the staff I wouldn't trust with a stuffed animal! I had taken one of my pets to another vet, and after finding out they required unnecessary vaccinations just to schedule a grooming session, I located Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital. Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital is a very caring and loving place to bring your pets. When my 13-year old dog Dandy started having serious health problems (heart, not eating, stroke), they saw me right away each time I had a concern, up until the very last time I brought him in. They are very compassionate and caring, with a balanced and reasonable approach. They also offer and are open to integrating natural and alternative methods for treating your pets, like the cold laser they offer in their office, and recognizing that Reiki, Acupressure/acupuncture, and chiropractic care can help improve your pet's quality of life and comfort.
