Have been taking my two dogs here for 6 years. Always been great, but I have healthy dogs and never had to come often. Recently my older dog was bitten by my younger dog. Took both to vet, young one got out of collar and ran off. Staff cared for older dog, and some staff helped me try to find young dog. Even so far as running down block, and driving their own cars! This place is filled with caring people who love your pets as much as you do. Could not recommend them more. Today was my first visit to this vet clinic. Everyone was nice, knowledgeable, personable & professional. I noticed my cat had a lump on his leg and took him to this location without an appointment and they saw him immediately. They treated him and we were home within an hour. I live in Dallas and was visiting in League City. One of my dogs was ill and I was able to get an appointment with one of the vets at Marina Bay. Everyone made me and my dog feel welcomed. I've had a relationship with Marina Bay Animal Hospital for almost nine years. Dr. Larry Fleming and all the staff there are not only knowledgeable, but eager to utilize that knowledge in the care of your best friend! Unfortunately, my best friend Bud, had to be put down this past September before reaching his 15th birthday. Needless to say, this was a very difficult time for me, but Dr. Larry and his staff were right there with me through this difficult ordeal. I will be forever grateful for the professionalism of Dr. Larry and his staff through the years of caring for Bud. Although Bud had many health issues, I always knew he was getting the best care every time he visited Dr. Larry. The entire staff knew of Bud's issues and always treated us like family during every visit. Even though Bud is no longer with us resulting in fewer visits to Marina Bay, I still feel a part of their family and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the best and loving care for their "best friend"! Our first instance occurred several years ago when our 16 year old dog had a seizure and stroke. We called Marina Bay and let them know we would be bringing her in and the snotty girl on the phone informed us that we had better hurry, because they would refuse to see us if we didn't arrive prior to 6PM. Luckily, we arrived at 5 minutes to 6PM and were seen. Unfortunately, our dog died in our arms that evening while we were there and the attitude of the staff really made the situation much harder than it had to be. Fast forward to today. I called to see If I could bring in one of our dogs, because she was coughing and throwing up and the girl on the phone informed me that there would be a $93 fee because we didn't have an appointment. Understand that we aren't just people off of the street that have never been there. We have been bringing our dogs in there for their twice yearly check ups for 15 years! This is horrible customer service and we will now be looking for a new vet in the area. Read Less

This place isn't much better than the vets at PetSmart in that they are just looking for ways to separate you from your money and they could care less about your animal. Science Diet all over the place. Annual, unnecessary vaccinations. Condescending language from the vets designed to guilt pet owners into unnecessary tests, procedures, and medications. The vets themselves don't seem to know much about how the place is run when you start to ask questions about procedures (Including the "owners"). Avoid this place like the plague. They care about your pet about as much as McDonalds cares about your health. Read Less

The staff and vets are great, the are friendly and caring. While it was hard to make the decision to put my cat of 16 years to sleep, they were kind, caring, and compassionate. I really wanted to be comfortable with this office because we recently moved and needed to establish with a new vet to treat our cat's allergies. Our first two appointments went alright: the staff was professional, everything was clean, and they were helpful in treating her issues. I wasn't overly impressed because their facility seemed a little older and simply wasn't the caliber of our previous vet's office on the other side of Houston. They were close and friendly, though, so we intended to keep seeing them.However, when we were out of town last week, our cat sitter called to tell us about concerning symptoms with our cat. We asked her to take her to be checked out; I even called the vet's office to fill them in and let them know what to expect. While they got us an early appointment to see a different veterinarian than her usual one, the appointment was frustrating. While she exhibited signs of a UTI, they insisted she was simply stressed from us being out of town, which has never happened on our usual trips. Only after the cat sitter insisted that they consider other options did they send her home with treatment for a UTI. They did not do blood work to rule out other issues and said they couldn't get her to pee and therefore had no urine sample available. They offered no help on getting her to eat, which she hadn't done for two days and is a major issue for cats.This didn't sit well so I called our old vet, who got us in immediately after we returned early to care for our cat. After getting a urine sample through another procedure and running blood work, they discovered she had pancreatitis and was developing a liver condition because she hadn't eaten for two days. We left with an appetite enhancer, meds for her nausea, and pain killers to help until she healed. The old vet confirmed that she would not have healed on the insufficient treatment Marina Bay gave her and likely would have continued to deteriorate to a possible point of not recovering.As a result of this lack of attention and passing off a serious condition as simple stress when we asserted that we knew that was not the sole issue, we do not plan to return to use their services. While hey came highly rated here, we were very frustrated by their level of care. Read Less

I love this clinic, they have taken great care of my pets. My dog recently got attacked by another dog and they were able to see me right away, and he was patched up in no time. They always give great advice. All of the doctors are fantastic. I have been to other clinics in the area and Marina Bay is by far the best! Read Less

My baby girl had an allergic reaction and they didn't hesitate to fit me in immediately(& they didn't over charge me something outrageous either) when 4 other vets in the area refused. I've only been once but this place seems just overall awesome.  Both receptionists were super friendly and I was taken back to the exam room very quickly. The vet tech and her trainee were both polite and personable, and I could see that the tech was taking care to write down all of the important facts on the history of my dog's illness. I really felt like I was being "heard" and that my concerns were not being dismissed. Both were also very good with my dog, who was frightened and not feeling well. Dr. Caldwell was equally impressive and very generous with his time, allowing me to ask many questions about my dog and the path forward. He was reassuring, appeared confident in his diagnoses, and didn't rush me out. The cost was about $200 for the visit and two meds. Seems very reasonable. I hope to make them my regular vet. Marina Bay has taken care of our dogs for over 10 years and we trust them completely. They're friendly, professional, and always kind to the animals. They even have an office cat that mans the front desk from time to time! We have visited every vet in the practice and had excellent experiences, but our primary vet is Dr Larry Fleming. He's great! He takes his time with us, does a thorough exam, and listens to our concerns. He's really good at explaining what's going on and which issues need attention and those that can just be monitored. As our dogs age and their health declines, this trust and open dialogue becomes more and more important to us. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Read Less

We live in the South Shore area so this office is very convenient for us, however we will be moving to Seabrook but will still utilize this office for our two doggies! They are absolutely wonderful and always accommodating and friendly. They have seen my pets at the last minute for us several times with no complaints. They always make sure to keep us updated and send friendly reminders and notifications to help keep our dogs healthy. The best vet office we have ever been to! Read Less

Last year, I adopted a dog and took him there because I heard it was the best in the area. The rescue group said my dog had a murmur. On our first visit, they said he had a "heart squeak" and on his last visit, they said they didn't hear anything at all. And made no reference to the previous "squeak" as to whether or not it healed, or the vet in particular was inept at hearing a squeak, or the previous vet was just hearing things. During the visit, they mentinoed he has tarter on his teeth. When I called to ask if he should maybe have a dental cleaning, the receptionist said, "Did you ask the vet if he needed a cleaning?" I said "No, I wasn't aware that I needed to suggest my dog's medical care to the vet." I also mentioned he has sores on his mouth (both during the exam and over the phone). They told me I could schedule another vist, which of course I would have to pay for, to address these concerns. Concerns which I felt should have been addressed during the most recent exam. I love this place especially Dr. Matthews. She is the best vet I have seen in my over 25 years of owning pets. She is caring, down to earth, listens and is very easy to talk to. We have used Marina Bay for years. The staff is wonderful and remember you and your pets. Dr. Kim and Dr. Larry - husband and wife are the main veternarians - but they have at least 2 more on staff. We go to Dr. Kim almost exclusively and she is amazing. She really cares about the animals and takes time with you explaining issues or procedures. You do not feel rushed or hurried during an appointment. I feel my pets get better medical treatment than I do with my own personal physician. Read Less

Our situation is unique in that we are sailboat cruisers currently living in Guatemala, Central America. I have two of their regular patients onboard. When we asked them to refill our Heartguard, they sold us six months worth and refused to sell us any more without the dogs coming back to the US for testing. That is not an option, we can't sail or fly back to the states for a test. We live in a jungle area where it's crucial that they be protected against heartworms. I was shocked that they didn't understand that in a jungle in a third world country, vet care is non-existent and they are our regular vet. We asked them for help because we've supported them exclusively while living in Kemah, Texas. We have never ever let our girls go without protection and their records prove that fact. Their ignorance in this matter is putting our girls in life-threatening jeopardy. Sorry, but this is just wrong! I am very disappointed. Read Less
