THE WORST!!! When this was an independent hospital, I was a big fan of the place. At the end of 2017 they were bought out by Banfield and since then this has become a complete nightmare. I make appointments in person and when I show up 2 days later they have no record of any appointments at all. Then have to wait over an hour before the stand in doctor conducts a cursory review and urges us away. That's not even the worst part. I brought my dog in for microchipping 4 days ago and then when I get her home I realize there's a huge, quarter-sized scab halfway down her back. I bring her back in and complain and they blame it on some tech staff who isn't present and that they used too much glue on her and we should just leave it like that for 10 days longer!! Take a look at the attached pictures I'm just taking in office; even the stand in doctor told me directly that he wouldn't have put it so low down her back, etc. Then they are trying to sell me some ointment to heal her poor back and I have to complain to 2 different people before they agree to provide the ointment and adjust it ofg. If you love your dog/pet then I vehemently advise you to stay far away from this place. Read Less

Dr. Grey and his clinic have been with us from puppy/kitten through passing. I have never had another vet that is as invested or caring about their patients. After hours doesn't mean your vet won't still be there for you! Read Less

On 1/10/18 I made the difficult decision to euthenize my cat, Austen, of 18 years due to kidney failure. I brought a letter with me detailing what was going on because I was too distraught to talk. The vet and staff were wonderful!! They were caring and compassionate, taking time to help me through this ordeal. I have been seeing Dr. Gray for 15 years! He is the BEST VETERNARIAN EVER!!! I trust him with my life!!! The staff is beyond amazing. Mr Leo (my yorkie) couldn't be in better hands!!! TLDR; Happy with the service here, extremely dissapointed in today's wait time. Showed up here at 3:15 on a Monday afternoon with an appointment. Was greeted promptly by the front desk staff and moved into an exam room. Spent the next 40 minutes waiting. After the wait, a vet technician came into the room and asked a few questions, wrote them down on the chart and then left. The doctor finally came in for all of 10 minutes, told us very little about the condition of our dog, prescribed some antibiotics and left again. Waited 20 more minutes to receive the prescription and receipt to pay. Came to find out that the Dr was on the phone... I like this place, and can understand if they were busy, but to make your only 'in-person' customers wait for you to return a call is horrible customer service. Edit: After writing this, and expressing our thoughts about today's visit to the front desk staff, a member from TVPH called us and offered their apologies for the issues we had today. Dr. Gray & his staff are AMAZING! They go above any vet or clinic we've ever been to. When we 1st adopted our dog, we went here & then tried a different vet another time. We were shocked at the all around difference! We were ready to euthanize our dog based on the other vet. It just broke our hearts & we just couldn't shake the feeling of it not being right. I called Timbervalley & explained to them what we were told. They had us come in the next morning, 1st appointment. After talking with Dr. Gray, an exam & 2 simple tests, our dog was correctly diagnosed. He needed a week of hospitalization, daily shots & every 6 mths a check-up. He very happily lived for 11 more years before he died in our arms at home in bed. We never go anywhere except Timbervalley. Read Less

Dr Gray is amazing. He took amazing care of my Yogi from the day I brought him home at .5 lbs/ 8 wks old to the day I lost him 14 years later. He was always so kind when I worried and answered ALL my questions without frustration. AMAZING. I was pretty neurotic due to a shaky start to my little guys life. Dr. Gray is such a wonderful vet, I'm so lucky to have stumbled across this humble pet hospital. The entire staff is great, they all seem to love what they do and they always make an effort to say something sweet to my cats when I bring them in. Dr. Gray genuinely cares about the well being of his furry patients and that is immediately made evident any time I have ever brought my pets here. I have a cat with epileptic seizures and thanks to all of the fantastic people at Timber Valley and the expertise of Dr. Gray my cat Loki has been seizure free ever since he started taking the medication that he was prescribed. I have tried twice to get an appointment and twice have been turned down.The staff says I need to make an apt. 3 days in advance. Well, that is fine and dandy if your pet is going for a wellness check. But if they are sick, you are OUT OF LUCK folks!!! Go else where! They will turn you down even if you call first thing in the morning to get your furbaby in. So, i will not try ever again. The rating should not be a full start for this Vet Practice. Used to use Dr. Grey as our vet. very nice, caring and honest man. his staff is friendly as well. clean and organized facility with a spacious lobby area so pets dont have to be near each other if need be while waiting. was a bit pricey for us now that we have 3 large dogs instead of just one but i would recommend this vet for sure and have to many friends. wait time was always longer here than our current vet however its worth it for great care Read Less

I moved to the DFW area approximately two years ago.  Prior to moving to the area I worked at a veterinary clinic in Edmond, Oklahoma. So needless to say, I might be a little picky but I had the hardest time finding a clinic that I feel does an overall exam and check up of my beloved Labbie.  So much so that up until now I had been to 4 other clinics in Coppell and Lewisville.  Then I found Timber Valley.  We have now been to the clinic a total of 4 times, met the new addition to the clinic Dr. Mane, and have been completely satisfied with the services every time we have been there.  I felt like both of our dogs each time were actually given complete exams.  I have always said in the past, It does not come down to money and if I feel like the services I am given are comparable to the price then it is a winning spot.  Both Doctors seem thorough with everything they do, you can see that they love what they do and want to get to know you versus just being another dollar passing by.  Would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. not sure i can put into words just how cool, personable and just plain AWESOME Dr. Gray is!!!!his and his staff's love for animals is palpable. Dr. Gray, being the one to explain the detailed medical details is absolutely one of the best communicators in his profession that i have ever encountered. he takes more than ample time to discuss any issue, LISTENS intently and answers any and all questions you may have... he wont leave the room until he is satisfied that you understand your pets health EXACTLY and FULLY. he is so down to earth, you feel like your chattin with a next door neighbor. i say this because i've had experiences with other vets who speak as though they assume you're a dummy. which is quite bothersome when you're talking about your little furry buddy. Dr Gray AND STAFF empathize with your concerns from the minor checkups to sad life-ending illnesses. the techs at Timber Valley are the BEST. they're friendly and wonderful and they make you feel as though they could take your pet home and love him or her as much as you do!as alluded to above: Timber Valley is about the animals first and foremost. the well-being of our four-legged friends is what drives this staff, BUT they manage to make pet owners feel important well taken care of too! in my experience, that is not the usual case.sometimes in life, we are fortunate to meet certain people. my parents found Dr Gray by coincidence. he became the best veterinarian they've ever met over a lifetime of having pets. i benefited from their association with Dr Gray while briefly needing a vet during a year long stay in Lewisville. i only hope i can find a vet equally as compassionate, thorough, communicative and genuinely good-natured as Dr Gray. Can't say enough great things about Dr Gray. He is so knowledgeable and compassionate!  He has taken care of my and my family's pets for many years. He takes the time needed to assess any health needs, makes a plan, and makes sure you are comfortable and have no questions. He stays up-to-date on the latest advances in veterinary medicine. Years ago when we needed to put our sweet old family dog down, he came in and opened the office on a Sunday so we could have privacy with no one else in the office. He was so supportive and never rushed us. He let us take the time we needed to say goodbye. Another one of my dogs passed a few years ago from a brain tumor. She died unexpectedly on a Sunday at an emergency vet. As soon as Dr Gray's office opened Monday and they heard what happened, they called to check on us. Dr Gray invited us in to talk/debrief and see how we were. They still have my dog's picture on their fridge in the back :). We've also had a couple of other dogs with some needy health issues over the years, and he always find little ways to help us out with cost (like not charging us an office visit when they need lots of tests or medication). 18 years of experience with Dr.Gray and his team! I have never taken my pets to any other veterinarian nor do I intend to. Dr. Gray is passionate about his work and the animals and he genuinely cares about the humans too. He would never do "unnecessary" work for your pet. He will do what he would do for his. I've been taking my Pomeranian lucky here for about 7 years and have had nothing bad to say. Dr. Gray has been nothing but kind to Lucky, and always takes time to explain anything if there is a procedure that needs to happen (teeth cleaning, etc). My cat is 20 years old and dr gray has the same breed as I do so that makes me feel better knowing he knows her breed and health issues. I've been to several vets in D/FW over the past 8 years and can FINALLY say that I have found "the one". As soon as you walk in the door, it's apparent that the entire Timber Valley staff are truly passionate about animals and the roles they play in that office (the ladies at the front desk are just amazing). Words can't even describe how surprised my husband and I were with Dr. Gray. He's thorough, genuine and very reasonable. Most of all, you can tell he truly cares about the livelihood of the animals that come through his office before, during and AFTER their visit. The value added by the knowledge we've gained from Dr. Gray on how to better take care of our dachshund, Maverick, is priceless. I love both Dr Gray and Dr Davalos. When my Crazy cat and I first started coming here, we saw Dr Brashear and he was great too (he's no longer with the practice). Dr Gray is incredibly nice and didn't call me neurotic when I brought Crazy in to double check her stitches. I mean, I know I'm neurotic, but instead he thanked me for being proactive! When Crazy had to come in for a steroid shot for her kitty acne, he said if she needed a follow up antibiotic shot, he wouldn't charge me a second office visit. How great is that?? Dr Davalos is amazing. I had to put my 16 year old cat Skunky to sleep in February 2013. It was one of the hardest things I ever did, but she made the whole thing so much easier. She talked us through everything and was very compassionate. I've never experienced anyone like her at a vet office before.The entire staff here is friendly. They were all empathetic when we were there with Skunky and very nice when I'm here with my Crazy neurotic cat. I highly recommend Timber Valley Pet Hospital! I moved up to the DFW area recently and had been looking for a vet for a few months before I just happened to drive by Timber Valley. I am in love with the staff and Dr. Davaloz. They are super friendly every time I go or call, and treat my dogs wonderfully.
