Dr. Taylor and his staff were awesome! They are not my regular vet. One day my cat had an emergency and my regular vet was out of town. Her staff recommended that I take Baby to 82nd Street Veterinary Clinic. The friendly staff took Baby imediately to a room and determined that he wasn't in any danger. Dr. Taylor and his staff are the most experienced and compassionate. We took our baby Sophie in on Thursday. She wasn't in good shape. Just by one look Dr. Taylor knew this was serious and had to move fast. We had to leave her overnight. Friday we recieved the worst call, our baby did not make it. As heart breaking as it is, I thank him and his staff for all they did! He was very gentle but straight to the point. He made us comfortable and I know he took care of our Sophie the best he could. They allowed us our goodbyes and was also mindful of our budget. We don't regret taking her there and we would 100% recommend Dr. Taylor and staff to anyone in need of a vet. Dr. Taylor is the best with my fur babies! I was raised on a farm and we had an "old school" type of vet for or animals and nowadays that type of vet is hard to come by. But I found that perfect type in Dr. Taylor! He's not in it to rake in money. He won't treat your animals with immunizations that they don't actually need or medicate them for something that a few simple, home cooked chicken & rice mixture dinners would easily fix for next to nothing cost wise. He's very informative and takes the time to explain exactly what is going on with your pet in lamen terms and will take the time to answer any questions you have. I can 100% trust his advice/recommendations and treatment of both my dogs no questions asked! I know if he says one or both of my fur babies need an x-ray, vaccination, surgical procedure, medication etc that they absolutely need it. I really like that in the event your animal needs a costly procedure he does have payment options and credit options. His entire staff is very pleasant to deal with and have always been helpful. I just can't say enough good things about this clinic! I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the market for a new veterinarian! You won't be disappointed! Take note that depending on how your coming into the clinic it may be difficult to see from the road. Trees kind of hide the black and white sign on the building. The parking lot is extremely small. The staff is so friendly and understanding. They squeezed us in for a same-day appointment! Since my cat is not friendly with other animals, they gave me the option of waiting in my vehicle so my cat wasn't further stressed out. How thoughtful! The wait was less than 15min and even the other clients in the lobby were so nice and cheerful. Dr. Taylor and his assistants were thorough, gentle, and kind during the examination. My cat was treated on the spot! The prices were extremely fair and did I mention they even offer a military discount?! YAY! Since we got home, my cat has been more playful and energetic than I have seen him in the last few years. We are so thankful to Dr. Taylor and all the 82nd Street Vet Clinic staff!! Was not fond of Dr. Taylor at all. I was a bit hesitant on giving my puppy shots that €would burn a lot,€ (horrible experiences with previous shots & they were for vomiting when the issue was diarrhea), and he came in the room and flipped. He became very sarcastic saying screw the shots, he would just send me home with pills bc those didn€t burn. It was so rude and unnecessary. I later found out I was overcharged $30, which I understand must have been an honest mistake, but I can't imagine if I wouldn€t have called to question my invoice. Followed the orders on the medication; it€s been a full week and my pup has yet to fully recover. We will not be back. Read Less

I love this veterinary clinic so much! They are affordable, friendly, and do a great job. Dr. Taylor seems to genuinely care about the animals and not be in it just for the money. He treated my dog's ear infection and gave very clear instructions for home-care. Then, he saw us for a follow-up to make sure he had fully recovered and he didn't charge for the check-up. I have had a very easy time making appointments (four total, three for my dog and one for my cats) and have had nothing but positive experiences with the front desk staff as well as Dr. Taylor. My friend took her 5 month old kitten to him for breathing issues. He did only 1 view on the X-RAYS. He told her he was "stumped ". And put him on a couple meds. He wasn't getting better. He charged $200. Wouldn't let her make payments. Took him to my Vet today where they ruled out Leukemia first. Trying to keep costs down. Came back negative. They did 2 views on the X-RAYS and INSTANTLY knew it was Pneumonia!!! He's and VERY NICE Doctor!!! Explains things well!!!! I just don't see HOW he missed it!!!! I also didn't like how his staff treated a lady who's dog was brought in as an EMERGENCY!!! After they got the dog stabilized in another room they came and told her she could leave. She asked to see him before she left. She said "no". That someone would call with an update. I heard the conversation. I just think there is better!!! And DEFINITELY worse!!! Form your own opinion!!! I REALLY was IMPRESSED the first time I met him!!!! I'm SURE he has done lots of good!!!! Several of her friends and her don't know how he missed Pneumonia!!!! Read Less

I took in my 5 month old puppy who tested positive for parvo. They took wonderful care of him and I was able to bring him home 2 days later. I took my dog for the first time here this morning. I wasn't too happy with the last vet I went to. I was very satisfied with everyone here. I have a dachshund with a bulged disc in his back. Dr. Taylor is the most compassionate and skilled vet/surgeon I have encountered in my life! (I'm 61). We were told by another vet that a large tumor could not be removed and were thus dealing with the potential loss of our beagle who we loved dearly. Dr. Taylor assessed the situation and informed that surgery was possible, but not without risk. We gave the green light and the surgery was a total success - 45 stiches later.
