I not only bring my animals here but I used to work here in the past. I have worked at a couple other vet clinics in town as well and the caring and compassion that is shown to all the animals here by far surpasses any that I have seen from "behind the scenes". I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic, its veterinarians, and the staff. Great prices and caring people!

We took our pet this morning and this was our first visit. We are extremely satisfied with our visit without any undue exaggeration. Dr. Kemp and her staff (Ms Ariel) did a very good job and answered all our questions very patiently. We could see that the clinic is slowly getting busy but they showed no signs of any rush to let us out. I would definitely be going back and would recommend De Kemp and the Key Animal Clinic to any one looking for one.

This place is AWESOME! We have three dogs and one cat. We started with Dr. Key, whom I adore, and have now seen all the other vets as well. You can't go wrong because they are all wonderful. Once one our dogs got lost while we were out of town. A neighbor found her and took her in to Dr. Key. He and his staff held her safely til we got back. We have had routine visits as well as emergency visits and have never been disappointed.

Dr D was wonderful. I took my dog in to be neutered. She spent time getting to know my dog, she gave good suggestions, she noticed his fleas, offered an exterminator, tested him for Tic Fever, and allowed me to the back to see when he would be housed. The staff back there (ALL OF THEM) were wonderful. I was offered 2 free kittens. I took pictures and promised to show my friends. Everybody worked well as a team, and I had no problem leaving my little dog behind.

We've taken our dogs and cat to Key Animal Clinic for many years. Dr. Key and many prayers are the reason my husband's cocker spaniel, Diesel, is alive today. Diesel got parvo as a puppy, even though he'd had his shots. With time, Dr. Key hired more vets to help with his growing business. ALL the vets are A+ and really care for any pets brought into the clinic. The staff has grown over the years, and everyone there are polite. They understand how people feel about their fur-babies, and are empathetic when someone has to tell their baby has to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I am thankful that Lubbock has such a wonderful vet clinic!

We have been going to Key Animal Clinic for many years. Dr. Key was a life-saver when our cocker spaniel puppy got parvo, even though he'd had his shots. Dr. Key came on Sunday mornings to check on our puppy, and allowed us to see and visit with him. Many prayers and the doctor's knowledge has given us a wonderful dog that we've had for 9 years. All the doctors are caring and compassionate, and they will do their best to take care of your pets. When it comes to costs, I have no idea what other clinics charge, but I do know my fur-babies will be in very good hands. The staff is supportive and understand the pain we've gone through when we've had to say good-bye to one of our dogs. I can't imagine going to another vet, since I know they're in good hands at Key Animal Clinic.

They were so nice and friendly. The appointment was super fast, I even got blood work test results moments after taking the test (other vets usually take at least a day to get this information back to you). On top of all their professionalism and friendliness, the appointment was very affordable. Way more so then the past few vets I've been to. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to others.

She went to another vet who told her that this place prescribed the wrong ABX, causing her dog to start vomiting blood. Do not take your pets here.

Switched from Lubbock Animal Clinic to Key Animal Clinic earlier this year. I brought in my new 4 month old puppy and my 2 1/2 year old dog for a routine check up. After waiting 45 minutes to be taken back, and $250 dollars later, I was displeased with my first visit. The front staff even told me that the doctor that we saw was notorious for racking-up charges on people's vet bills. I decided to give them another try, and brought my puppy back for her last round of shots on a Friday. She started experiencing vomiting and diarrhea the day after the shot. I called Monday morning at 8am to try to get her in as a "emergency visit" and I was told that they had physical exams in the morning and couldn't get me in until later that day. I have been to several vet clinics, and this one by far is the worst I've been to in Lubbock. They are always running behind, their front staff are never friendly.After 2 bad experiences, I made the choice to go somewhere else.

I took my chihuahua mix in for her yearly shots and because she was showing signs of seasonal allergies. We got to the exam room rather quickly after getting all of the paperwork filled out and the staff in the back was quite friendly. However after the exam we went to pay, and the price was MUCH higher than I had anticipated. When I asked the girl that was checking me out to break down the charges for me, she gave me quite a bit of attitude. Now, I am a college student with very limited funds and I am sorry if I don't want to fork over a huge wad of cash without knowing exactly what I am paying for. Once she broke it down I realized they were not at all straightforward with their prices. I was not told how much something would be in the exam room unless I asked every 5 seconds, even though I expressed financial concern. Apparently I still didn't ask enough. The care itself was fine, but the rude staff up front and the lack of straightforwardness of the prices will probably keep me from returning to the clinic.

This is one of the best groups of doctors in Lubbock. My experiences were always positive here with my 3 pets over the span of 5 years, and from what I've seen the prices are very reasonable, and the vets don't over-treat to pad the invoice. I know several people who have taken their pets to Dr. Key for 40+ years, and he is regarded as one of the best diagnostic vets in town. Dr. D is always so friendly and just adores your pets as much as you do. I'm pretty sure this clinic also offers physical therapy and more invasive surgeries, as well, so it's a good deal. I would recommend anyone to go here.

When I first got to Lubbock five and half years ago I called quite a few veterinary clinics just to see which receptionist had the kindest sounding voice, Key Animal Clinic won. I believe the person I talked to all those years ago was Rachel, but I could be wrong.In the past I have been shamed to the point of tears by a vet*, so I was nervous about my first visit to the clinic with my cat of three years, nervous up until the point I met the vets Dr. Priya A. Dahanukar and Dr. Emily N. Shockey. They were calm and comfortable around cats. The whole experience was great. When I went up front to pay, they gave me a first time customer discount and some free advantage (they also did this when I brought in a new cat several years later . . . I guess the cats are the real customers ;-).I also met Dr. Key once before I had to move and in that brief visit he gave me a number of a person to interview for an article I was interested in writing! Over the five and a half years I went to Key Animal Clinic I never had a bad experience and I never had to wait that long to get in, which is nice, considering the mixed (cat and dog) waiting room. Our beautiful cat had fallen gravely ill, my daughters best friend! I was in a panic, I didn't know who to trust or turn too.I had heard good things about Key Animal Clinic.It was there we met Dr. D. What an amazing, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor! She also does acupuncture to help with arthritis and pain. She is a saint in our book.Our baby was in ICU, she was not doing well. They went above and beyond to try to find out what was wrong with her, they left no stone unturned. After a week of not responding to any treatment they counseled us to let her go. It was not an easy decision and we had lots of questions. Everyone was involved in her care, and they all agreed it was the best for our baby. I cannot tell you the compassion, the love, the sympathy and the affection they gave us and more importantly our baby girl. I have never felt such caring from any doctor's.They cried with us when she had to go. It was one of the hardest and yet, most beautiful things, because of Dr. D.I will tell anyone that will listen, how amazing they are. I trust them, and will continue to go to them for the rest of my life.Know that your pet is valued, that they don't put a price on your pets life, that they will care for them with dignity and love.

We took our pet this morning and this was our first visit. We are extremely satisfied with our visit without any undue exaggeration. Dr. Kemp and her staff (Ms Ariel) did a very good job and answered all our questions very patiently. We could see that the clinic is slowly getting busy but they showed no signs of any rush to let us out. I would definitely be going back and would recommend De Kemp and the Key Animal Clinic to any one looking for one.

This place is AWESOME! We have three dogs and one cat. We started with Dr. Key, whom I adore, and have now seen all the other vets as well. You can't go wrong because they are all wonderful. Once one our dogs got lost while we were out of town. A neighbor found her and took her in to Dr. Key. He and his staff held her safely til we got back. We have had routine visits as well as emergency visits and have never been disappointed.

Dr D was wonderful. I took my dog in to be neutered. She spent time getting to know my dog, she gave good suggestions, she noticed his fleas, offered an exterminator, tested him for Tic Fever, and allowed me to the back to see when he would be housed. The staff back there (ALL OF THEM) were wonderful. I was offered 2 free kittens. I took pictures and promised to show my friends. Everybody worked well as a team, and I had no problem leaving my little dog behind.

We've taken our dogs and cat to Key Animal Clinic for many years. Dr. Key and many prayers are the reason my husband's cocker spaniel, Diesel, is alive today. Diesel got parvo as a puppy, even though he'd had his shots. With time, Dr. Key hired more vets to help with his growing business. ALL the vets are A+ and really care for any pets brought into the clinic. The staff has grown over the years, and everyone there are polite. They understand how people feel about their fur-babies, and are empathetic when someone has to tell their baby has to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I am thankful that Lubbock has such a wonderful vet clinic!

We have been going to Key Animal Clinic for many years. Dr. Key was a life-saver when our cocker spaniel puppy got parvo, even though he'd had his shots. Dr. Key came on Sunday mornings to check on our puppy, and allowed us to see and visit with him. Many prayers and the doctor's knowledge has given us a wonderful dog that we've had for 9 years. All the doctors are caring and compassionate, and they will do their best to take care of your pets. When it comes to costs, I have no idea what other clinics charge, but I do know my fur-babies will be in very good hands. The staff is supportive and understand the pain we've gone through when we've had to say good-bye to one of our dogs. I can't imagine going to another vet, since I know they're in good hands at Key Animal Clinic.

On top of all their professionalism and friendliness, the appointment was very affordable. Way more so then the past few vets I've been to. I called back and the girls didn't even answer that just threw me on hold. Dr. key what is happening to your office help and help it's never been this bad

She went to another vet who told her that this place prescribed the wrong ABX, causing her dog to start vomiting blood. Do not take your pets here.

Switched from Lubbock Animal Clinic to Key Animal Clinic earlier this year. I brought in my new 4 month old puppy and my 2 1/2 year old dog for a routine check up. After waiting 45 minutes to be taken back, and $250 dollars later, I was displeased with my first visit. The front staff even told me that the doctor that we saw was notorious for racking-up charges on people's vet bills. I decided to give them another try, and brought my puppy back for her last round of shots on a Friday. She started experiencing vomiting and diarrhea the day after the shot. I called Monday morning at 8am to try to get her in as a "emergency visit" and I was told that they had physical exams in the morning and couldn't get me in until later that day. I have been to several vet clinics, and this one by far is the worst I've been to in Lubbock. They are always running behind, their front staff are never friendly.After 2 bad experiences, I made the choice to go somewhere else.

I took my chihuahua mix in for her yearly shots and because she was showing signs of seasonal allergies. We got to the exam room rather quickly after getting all of the paperwork filled out and the staff in the back was quite friendly. However after the exam we went to pay, and the price was MUCH higher than I had anticipated. When I asked the girl that was checking me out to break down the charges for me, she gave me quite a bit of attitude. Now, I am a college student with very limited funds and I am sorry if I don't want to fork over a huge wad of cash without knowing exactly what I am paying for. Once she broke it down I realized they were not at all straightforward with their prices. I was not told how much something would be in the exam room unless I asked every 5 seconds, even though I expressed financial concern. Apparently I still didn't ask enough. The care itself was fine, but the rude staff up front and the lack of straightforwardness of the prices will probably keep me from returning to the clinic.

This is one of the best groups of doctors in Lubbock. My experiences were always positive here with my 3 pets over the span of 5 years, and from what I've seen the prices are very reasonable, and the vets don't over-treat to pad the invoice. I know several people who have taken their pets to Dr. Key for 40+ years, and he is regarded as one of the best diagnostic vets in town. Dr. D is always so friendly and just adores your pets as much as you do. I'm pretty sure this clinic also offers physical therapy and more invasive surgeries, as well, so it's a good deal. I would recommend anyone to go here.

When I first got to Lubbock five and half years ago I called quite a few veterinary clinics just to see which receptionist had the kindest sounding voice, Key Animal Clinic won. I believe the person I talked to all those years ago was Rachel, but I could be wrong.In the past I have been shamed to the point of tears by a vet*, so I was nervous about my first visit to the clinic with my cat of three years, nervous up until the point I met the vets Dr. Priya A. Dahanukar and Dr. Emily N. Shockey. They were calm and comfortable around cats. The whole experience was great. When I went up front to pay, they gave me a first time customer discount and some free advantage (they also did this when I brought in a new cat several years later . . . I guess the cats are the real customers ;-).I also met Dr. Key once before I had to move and in that brief visit he gave me a number of a person to interview for an article I was interested in writing! Over the five and a half years I went to Key Animal Clinic I never had a bad experience and I never had to wait that long to get in, which is nice, considering the mixed (cat and dog) waiting room. Our beautiful cat had fallen gravely ill, my daughters best friend! I was in a panic, I didn't know who to trust or turn too.I had heard good things about Key Animal Clinic.It was there we met Dr. D. What an amazing, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor! She also does acupuncture to help with arthritis and pain. She is a saint in our book.Our baby was in ICU, she was not doing well. They went above and beyond to try to find out what was wrong with her, they left no stone unturned. After a week of not responding to any treatment they counseled us to let her go. It was not an easy decision and we had lots of questions. Everyone was involved in her care, and they all agreed it was the best for our baby. I cannot tell you the compassion, the love, the sympathy and the affection they gave us and more importantly our baby girl. I have never felt such caring from any doctor's.They cried with us when she had to go. It was one of the hardest and yet, most beautiful things, because of Dr. D.I will tell anyone that will listen, how amazing they are. I trust them, and will continue to go to them for the rest of my life.Know that your pet is valued, that they don't put a price on your pets life, that they will care for them with dignity and love.
