I took my pup in and all they seemed to care about was updating her rabies shot. They really didn't even have my consent before administering it. You don't get to go in the room with your pet, but since I was willing to do whatever it takes to get my pup better, I agreed. I had to ask her what the diagnosis was bc she didn't tell me, and she said it was just a stomach ache. A $200 stomach ache. Sure, vet knows best so I took her home and began her medication, BUT AS MY DOG WAS IN MY ARMS WHIMPERING AND LITERALLY DYING, I rushed her to a different vet. They immediately found out it was parvo, and she was hospitalized instantly, not given to me to take home on stomach meds. Dr. Crouch & the front desk girl were nice, but I'm sorry, I'm not paying them to be nice. I'm paying them to make my dog get better which you can't do if you can't diagnose her correctly. Medication for a stomach ache when she's dying of parvo isn't going to be very effective. I just can't imagine what would've happened if I would've trusted in them & their medication for another day or two. Not to mention a waste of $200. I boarded my dog here for 11 days and picked her up yesterday. I brought her home and not even 20 minutes later noticed ticks crawling on her. So I called SUVH to see what they can do because she had gotten them while boarded. They said they'll give her a bath, which was nice. So I brought her back up there for the bath and picked her up a couple hours later. On the way home I was petting her and noticed bumps. Once I got home I got her out of the truck and started looking at her and noticed several engorged ticks plus some just roaming around on her. So I immediately called them back and they suggested that I bring her back up there so they can keep her over night to make sure they get the rest of them off her. My husband decided to bring her instead so he could ask why this is happening. He got there and they took her back and not to long after they come back out saying they got them all off. So he sat down with her while talking to the Vet and could feel ticks still on her. He even noticed them moving around, so he told them to look and said y'all need to keep her over night like y'all said y'all would do and make sure to get them off her. He left her there over night and I picked her up earlier today to bring her home to find more engorged ticks plus some just moving all around on her. They aren't willing to take care of the problem or refund us any money, which would be used to take her to another animal hospital to get the treatment she needs. Read Less

Very POOR! The vet has a rule that the owner can NOT be with the pet during ANY visit. They take the animal to the back while making you stay in the front. They then return with the animal and a brief report. There is little to no opportunity to develop a level of trust in the care taker tech / vet. This vet office ostracizes there customers with there self imposed separation policy which is not always in the best interest of the pet. BY FAR the best vet in town is with out a doubt Live oak Animal Hospital on 98th and Slide in Lubbock, TX. (I wish i know this before my visit to the other facility) They did refund my money for treatment not provided. Read Less

We are new in town, and my Sister In Law recommended this Clinic to me. I have been there a few times, with a new kitten. Dr. Crouch, and staff, were extremely informative, as my kitten does have a slight Issue. I was impressed with their knowledge and kindness. I have taken little handsome Ruger to South University Vet since I found him in 2014. Dr. Crouch and her staff are excellent. Dr. Crouch always recommends what she thinks is best and Ruger has had two procedures there. I am so impressed with the communication, although they have other patients, they have always made me feel welcome to call or message with questions. I also love that Dr. Crouch remembers Ruger's name, and I never feel like a stranger, it is so nice not being a # like I have experienced at other vet offices. I definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for a family environment. :)Read Less

Been going here for a couple of years now, they're great. They know you and your dog and are very reasonably priced. I had to put down a dog I'd had since I was a kid, and the whole office sent me a signed card saying how sorry they were, etc. Great people, great vet. Read Less

I have taken both my cat and dog here multiple times. They are always so friendly and go out of their way to do whatever they can for my pets. After they treat my pets they call and check on them a few days later. They genuinely care about all the animals that they help, and I love taking my pets here! Read Less

Ok so after going over my older records with this vet. I haven't had any bad experiences with them in the 8 years we have gone to them. I was upset about the price increase, because it felt as if they were trying to take advantage of us. I understand now that they were only doing what was best for my fur babies Molly, Chole & Liddy.. I was up set that molly was covered in dry blood when we got her home because it scared the crap out of my kids an they asked if she was dead. An how they didn't have bandages on there feet this time, an the last time we had cats declawed in 2009 when they came home they had bandages on there feet. So I was concerned about it. I'm sorry for the outbursts I was in a very bad mood an I took it out on the wrong people. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my babies. They were in excellent care. Read Less

Our Bella is a 3.5 year old yorkie and was in severe pain. Emergency room said take her to the vet in a week, I decided to take her here the next morning to address her sepsis. They took excellent care of her and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm glad I didn't wait like what was recommended. Infection is serious. Everyone is very helpful, always kind and extremely knowledgeable. The doctor and vet techs take time to listen, discuss and help however they can. They make you feel like a part of their family. The BEST vets I have found in Lubbock. I have brought 4 cats here and they have shown nothing but love and compassion each time and they treat your pets as family. 3 of my cats had several serious surgeries and they worked wonders.
