The phone was answered with “what do you want?!” I simply and kindly said “I just had a few questions..” The reply I got was “ well I’m to busy with more important things so I’ll pass!” And hung up. I don’t know what the deal was but that was unnecessarily rude and I will never take my business there.

Every time I take my dog in he is shown care, compassion and respect. After taking my GSD to several vet's throughout his 7 years, fighting chronic ear infections, it was the knowledge and common sense Dr. Lebus that finally diagnosed his ear issue as allergies. And for the first time my dog actually likes his vet, which is HUGE!
Thank y'all for making Levi's quality off life so much better.

We moved to Lumberton in June and I needed to find a vet for my American Bulldog puppies. I can’t say enough about the care we have received from Dr. LeBus. One of my dogs is allergic to grass (ear issues, skin irritation, paws always red and itchy). She was diagnosed when we lived in the Houston area. Our other vet just gave us the diagnosis, but did not tell us that there was medicine that we could give her. Dr. LeBus set out a treatment plan that was EXTREMELY affordable and we began her on this treatment. She is a new dog, and we have finally gotten her symptoms under control. He cares so much about the animals he treats. I wish that we had found him sooner so that my sweet puppy hadn’t had to suffer. I have referred friends of mine to Dr. LeBus and they have all come back with the same praise that I have. His assistant, Keisha, is always kind and helpful. You will NOT find a better vet in the Lumberton area than Dr. LeBus and Bark and Purr!!!

Dr. LeBus has been our vet for 18 years. He has always been wonderful with our pets and has been with us thru good times and sad times. From walking thru the door with a new puppy to having to put our beloved babies to sleep for the last time, we are thankful he is there to care for them and us! He is very straight forward, explains options and does not believe in putting animals thru painful or expensive tests and procedures, when they may not help. We appreciate his honesty and we know our girls are in good hands with him. Our dogs are our family and we feel very blessed to have such a wonderful vet as Dr. LeBus.

UPDATE: I posted before (below) about our Sheltie nearing the end of her natural life. Today, our beloved Jenna Rose reached her end. We took her to Dr. LeBus for her final time. She became very, very ill in the past few days. Dr. LeBus and Kiesha were very compassionate, caring and professional. Dr. LeBus explained the procedure to us in gentle terms, answered all our questions, then answered them all again. We were not rushed in any way. Dr. LeBus took as much time as we needed. The compassion he and Kiesha showed us was very comforting. While we all know we will get to the end with our pets, it is still difficult when it happens. Dr. LeBus made it as gentle for us as anyone possibly could. Dr. LeBus was excellent in his care of her in her youth (actually saving her life once), in her prime and in her twilight. He was as excellent, compassionate and caring at her end as he had been all of her life. You can tell he sincerely loves his patients. He is the kind of veterinarian you want. I cannot recommend him enough.

We have trusted our family pets to Dr. LeBus and Bark & Purr for years now. He is a caring, very down to earth veterinarian. Dr. LeBus literally saved the life of our Sheltie when she was about 2 years old and suffering from bladder stones. Dr. LeBus operated on her, removing all of the stones. She is now over 10 years old and is a very happy old girl. She still sees Dr. LeBus for all of her geriatric needs. Dr. LeBus is very caring and very down to earth. He knows our dog is part of our family and treats her (and us!) as such. He is very down to earth in treating her, always honest and gives us a variety of options if medical intervention is needed. His prices for his services are more than fair. I recommend Dr. LeBus and Bark & Purr without reservation!!

Dr. LeBus and his staff are very caring and knowledgeable, which means a lot when it comes to my precious pets. I love that there is never a wait to schedule an appointment, and they get you in and out of the office in a timely manner. The office is always very clean and pet friendly. I would recommend Bark & Purr to everyone. They are a wonderful clinic that truly care about animals.

I have used Bark & Purr for my pug, Ace, since he was born. I am very happy with the service that Dr. LeBus and his clinic provides. He is friendly and accommodating along with providing excellent medical care. I do recommend this veterinary clinic.

The best vet I've ever taken my pets to. Dr. Lebus takes time with each patient, and he always helps you explore options when your pet has a serious condition. Excellent service and pet care!

Dr. LeBus has been our vet for 18 years. He has always been wonderful with our pets and has been with us thru good times and sad times. From walking thru the door with a new puppy to having to put our beloved babies to sleep for the last time, we are thankful he is there to care for them and us! He is very straight forward, explains options and does not believe in putting animals thru painful or expensive tests and procedures, when they may not help. We appreciate his honesty and we know our girls are in good hands with him. Our dogs are our family and we feel very blessed to have such a wonderful vet as Dr. LeBus.

UPDATE: I posted before (below) about our Sheltie nearing the end of her natural life. Today, our beloved Jenna Rose reached her end. We took her to Dr. LeBus for her final time. She became very, very ill in the past few days. Dr. LeBus and Kiesha were very compassionate, caring and professional. Dr. LeBus explained the procedure to us in gentle terms, answered all our questions, then answered them all again. We were not rushed in any way. Dr. LeBus took as much time as we needed. The compassion he and Kiesha showed us was very comforting. While we all know we will get to the end with our pets, it is still difficult when it happens. Dr. LeBus made it as gentle for us as anyone possibly could. Dr. LeBus was excellent in his care of her in her youth (actually saving her life once), in her prime and in her twilight. He was as excellent, compassionate and caring at her end as he had been all of her life. You can tell he sincerely loves his patients. He is the kind of veterinarian you want. I cannot recommend him enough.

We have trusted our family pets to Dr. LeBus and Bark & Purr for years now. He is a caring, very down to earth veterinarian. Dr. LeBus literally saved the life of our Sheltie when she was about 2 years old and suffering from bladder stones. Dr. LeBus operated on her, removing all of the stones. She is now over 10 years old and is a very happy old girl. She still sees Dr. LeBus for all of her geriatric needs. Dr. LeBus is very caring and very down to earth. He knows our dog is part of our family and treats her (and us!) as such. He is very down to earth in treating her, always honest and gives us a variety of options if medical intervention is needed. His prices for his services are more than fair. I recommend Dr. LeBus and Bark & Purr without reservation!!

She is nearing the end of her natural life now, and Dr. LeBus has shown great compassion with truthful and realistic advice. He is helping her have a good quality of life in her sunset days, and is compassionately guiding us in the time she has left. He is truly a great, knowledgable, caring, down to earth veterinarian. I recommend him and his clinic without reservation.

I have been using Bark & Purr for several years now, and I have nothing but great things to say! Dr. LeBus and his staff are very caring and knowledgeable, which means a lot when it comes to my precious pets. I love that there is never a wait to schedule an appointment, and they get you in and out of the office in a timely manner. The office is always very clean and pet friendly. I would recommend Bark & Purr to everyone. They are a wonderful clinic that truly care about animals.
